    Hello!
Great products, but is it not time for a app controlled door opener? ❤

what's lacking is instructions on mounting the door and cutting hole dimensions - what is the rough opening dimensions? also would be nice to have dimensions of the track itself - width&depth

I used a cheap electronic magnet a spring and a timer really super simple if you have power to your coop not self closing but we need to check the chickens a couple times a day anyway so this was a really good compromise for us ...the spring I used was just a screen door spring $3 at TS ...the door magnet was Amazon I think less than $15 and any timer with on and off will work ....All told it was less than $30 and foolproof! I set the timer to energize like at 5pm and turns off at sunrise time....we simply go down every night and make sure door is clear and just pull it closed so the magnet holds it then with the timer denergizes the spring yanks the door open! Cheap and simple! You could also use a 12v magnet and a battery and have a little solar charger to charge the battery ....worse case if the battery crapped out early the door simply opens as opposed to the fully automated doors which I would just stay closed ....a disaster if you are away on a weekend

Why do none of the instructions include what size hole to cut in your coop?

Now have 2 units and very happy with the product My only gripe is the Instructions are not great which is sadly all too common these days e.g. if I want to just change the closing time do I have to go through the whole setup process?? etc etc

Great product, quality equipment. Wish I could afford the extreme model or the new locking door. Pushing and pulling the 1kg limit on my door. Definately better than inferior closers out there on the market, Definately recommend.

Save yourself the headache that comes with Chicken Guard. My Extreme model failed twice. Albeit the customer service is good, the product is bad. Failed motor after 5 months in service and the replacement motor only lasted five weeks.

The 2 pin connector that connects to the system before screwing back the front cover is to say the least, CRAP it gets loose over time & causes issues such as keeps popping off when replacing the front cover & gets looser over time. needs looking at.

I thought you could use a like and a comment. This appears to be a great product, especially for people just getting into keeping chickens while still working a regular job. After I look into availability, I'll gladly share, as well.
If it isn't currently available, I'll gladly take on a distributor role over here. This is the first I've seen or heard of this product.

Me apresuré a bajarlo manualmente.

Great product but you need to beef up the connection where the leads are soldered to the motor. Those could break loose so easily.

Hi, I bought the extreme 2 - have just tried to connect to main power, with the usb cable that came with the package when I bought it.
BUT - when I try to go to the menu, it wants me to choose which model, and then to some other menu, that I have´nt seen before - why does it do this?

My old type Chicken Guard without Sensor has been working for years without problem, then the Friday night I noticed it were flashing ERROR, Then, Re-setup Timer. I did this but never understood why it happened in the first place. To be safe I thought I would add new batteries & reset it all up again. Sunday morning. Same thing happened & it was strangely Quiet. The timer Showed the error again and this time several Foxes wiped out all 7 of my Indian runner Ducks. Why was I getting this Error? twice now which has 2nd time around wiped out my ducks. am not happy and losing trust with the chicken Guard which I thought were a good product. your help centre says nothing of this error.?

      @ChickenGuard  Před 4 lety

Really sorry to hear that the sensor is locked on your ChickenGuard Extreme, this should not be the case.
However, feel rest assured as we can solve this quickly without you being charged any extra.
Can you go to ‘Misc Setting’ then to ‘Unlock Sensor’ and your display should give you a 5 digit code, if you take a picture of the code and send it to support@chickenguard.com we can get this unlocked for you.
      Sorry for the inconvenience.
      Regards,
      ChickenGuard
