- When am I ever going to learn to bring tissues to cry in? First time hearing and reacting to 'Phantom of the Opera' Ft.Henk Poort on the Nightwish Stage, Netherlands. Thanks to Piia for the suggestion, and to Nathan, and to my downloader for finding this treasure! THANK YOU NIGHTWISH ARMY! and...... Thank you NIGHTWISH for taking us through an ethereal journey of poetry in music.

Things I love about this video:
Absolutely everything! From Floor's STUNNING voice, so ethereal, and her body language, how she starts slowly, but it makes her part a lot more theatrical. Like she is so immerse on Christine's character, then THE (Dutch) PHANTOM himself comes out and the crowd ROARS in excitement to see him, plus Tuomas' smile when he sees Henk, and Henk rocking the song, THOSE VOCAL FRIES my goodness! LOVED to see him wearing a metal
ocker-ish outfit with the Nightwish t-shirt, AND THEEEN! The famous "SING FOR ME!!" Followed by that 12 SECONDS!! Beautiful high ass note!! I imagine that emotions must have been at their peak at the end of the song; everyone, from the band to the crowd. My goosebumps had goosebumps.
Thank you SO much for sharing this experience and what it looked like and FELT like to be there in person.
Me and my daughter were there too! It was a great show even without this performance, but this made it special for us! A once in a life time opportunity. Nightwish live is dynamite. This song deserves a symphonic metal sound and they all delivered! That guitar outro from Emppu, wow!

Hi, thank you for this wonderful video.
I was there with my wife that night. The thing is, they kept this a total secret. It wasn’t on the official setlist beforehand and they even rehearsed this with only their in ears so they wouldn’t spoil the surprise.
And when that first drone note hit I was in total shock, becuase I instantly recognized it.
Im telling you, this was pure magic! The video simply doesn’t do it justice, yet it is still making me tear up and the goosebumps are all over.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience. This is special.and very powerful moment and memory for you and everyone in attendance.

My wife and I were lucky enough to be in the first tier three rows up at this concert stage left so very close and it truly was a magical night. We had purchased tickets at the end of 2019 and the concert kept getting postponed so three years later we finally got to see them live. Since we were in Europe already we went and saw them in Vienna, Austria and Leipzig, Germany as well. Huge fan from Alaska, USA

Floor sang even higher than in the TV show "beste zangers". She wanted to show the world that she could do it in the original tone as well, I guess. Wonderful range and power up there.
She hits D6 in both, holds the note longer here. Not that she couldn't do the original, it's just because the Nightwish arrangement is in a lower key, probably for technical reasons. No point going higher.
And Henk....just wooow🤯... Oh my! 🤘

On November 27, 2022 Nightwish played their second magical concert and I was there again... I really can't understand why this band still offers their tickets at such ridiculous prices.

The whole concert was so emotional and great, the best ever.
I was there both nights.
I hoped they would do the Phantom as promised, but only believed it when I saw Henk walking on stage the first night.

Awesome.
Sold out Ziggo Dome - 17000 people, at nov 27th and 28th. We were there the first night, flying down from Norway, waited 2 years for this due to corona. And to hear them play Phantom of the Opera for the first time since Tarja, 17 years ago, was just - words can't describe. The good news is that the recorded bouth nights. More good stuff to come :)

Hello Kelly, yes I did suggest Phantom with Nightwish, this came out today by Nightwish, so what I could suggest was only a fan video from the show, they're not bad but this is Nightwish video. Just couldn't expected anything but so good. Thanks for a lovely reaction 😊

First time performed by Nightwish since it was performed with Tarja & Marco 17 years ago on the End Of An Era DVD
First performance of this song in 17 years? That makes it very special for Nightwish and everyone there. I've listened to the version with Tarja and Marco, Loved it too.
@@KellyDeaconKDzJOY I believe it had something to do with Tuomas considering it Tarja's song. When Henk agreed to come on tour with Floor, during her solo shows, Henk had only 1 request and that was to be able to perform this live with Nightwish some day. Covid hit, shows got cancelled, and I kind of forgot about that request but, here we are today. Kudos to Tuomas for helping Floor fulfill her promise to Henk.
