- As a tornado approached a family’s home in Missouri, three young sisters huddled together in a bathroom for safety. The moment was captured in a photo, with 9-year-old Annistyn Rackley in the bathtub, clutching her favorite doll. Sadly, it was the last photo the little girl would ever take. Minutes later, the home was obliterated by a tornado, one of dozens that ripped through several states in the South and Midwest in a catastrophic weather event over the weekend. Third-grader Annistyn was killed.

Saying she is “ in a better place” is an expression of faith based on the belief there is a more peaceful afterlife we carry on in. It brings comfort and healing to those grieving. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it is for her family to look at that photo now. We had a tornado last year in my area, not nearly as bad. My young teen daughters were home alone and we don't have a basement. I was terrified racing home while they sat in the bathtub with our dog and the phone. Prayers for everyone affected by this tragedy.
I'm a believer that every state/towns that's tornado prone should have multiple storm shelters for their residents that's living there. We pay enough to these states that the possibility of that shouldn't be a debate or argument. We PAY TAXES have safety measures other than a fricken siren when a storm or threat is near. Rest in peace to ALL families. I couldn't imagine my 9yo being gone

It’s so haunting to see the photo knowing what happened to her. I was in Kentucky during the tornado, but luckily it didn’t last long enough and luckily it barely missed us.. If it is hit us I probably wouldn’t be here today… It’s so sad to see lives taken away due to any natural cause, especially ones so young. My condolences and prayers go out to her family 💔💔

I don’t know why bunkers aren’t normal in these cities if they know tornadoes can hit at any given time.
I'm in Alabama, we get so many scares. Including to April 2011, which was catastrophic. We usually just hunker down. I get my cat in a carrier and we will go to a nearby church basement because the local tornado shelter doesn't allow pets. We have always wanted an at home storm pit but they're expensive 😔

But so is everything else and already being in a cheap in prices kinda state, you should take advantage of that cause us in California its already expensive to live everyday we want your prices.
