How to factory reset your XBox 360 inc. content controls

If you've just bought, or are about to sell, and XBox 360 you need to take it back to it's complete factory settings. This will clear out all user data and accounts and delete any content or other passwords and settings. The console will then be back to the state when it first came out of its box.

hello, its doesnt work for me, after i put the personal code they gave me, it make me go back in the setting, any ideas to save me ?

If you've managed to get the code from the Microsoft account it should let you go to the reset settings page. Sometimes it takes a few goes to get it to recognise the code. Try going back out of settings and then back into system info to retry the code.

There's no easy answer to water damage. You'll need to work out what components have been damaged. Take it apart, give the motherboard a good clean and then work from there.

Sometimes you need to try a few times. Be very clear with the presses and leave a very tiny gap between them.

I also have this problem, do i need to wait to input the special 4 key input before or after a pop up comes up? I do the regular 6 button input and nothing pops up

I have an OG Xbox360, and the 2nd edition where its black with the weird Trapezoid shape; I still Need an "e" for my Display lol:
I need to figure out how to do the permanent RGH Mod, Years back I fixed an RROD, someone else did the dvd drive hack for me back then

The mod I'll be doing is the RGH3 hack on an XBox 360 S. The phat version doesn't always support the hack and the E model isn't compatible. This seems the simplest hack without the need for any glitch chips etc. but only works on these models.

@@BytesNBits I believe when I first got it working (Father in Law is a Dumpster Hauler, some Electronics places put descent stuff off to the side for him to take home, I get the consoles & PCs lol)
Anyway: I like the Athstetic of the "E", but came to the realization the "S" was the best option.
Man the OG Xbox was so much easier to SoftMod lol
