    Very cool 😁👍with the drill batteries. I got the same upgrade kit about a year ago and it's worked out great. I also upgraded the batteries from 3X 9ah batteries equaling 27ah to 3X 22ah mighty max batteries to equal 66ah. I'm pretty sure 22ah batteries are the biggest you can fit without major modifications. Before the with 27ah batteries she got about 3 or 4 miles now with the 66ah batteries she has gone 7.5 miles and it still had a plenty of battery left haven't found the limit yet.
    Thanks for sharing?

    This is awesome and great job on the quad! That motor should be just fine for a long while with the 36V.

      Honestly they’ve run this thing so hard since we completed this and we’ve had no issues. I try to discourage riding through puddles but it gets worked over pretty good haha. Only issues have been the way the plates were mounted. The design of the Dewalt or craftsman style batteries would be much better long term

      I wouldn't worry but if it really bothers you could always use some dielectric grease or buy a tube of gasket maker and run a bead to help seal it or even mount the battery adapters into the fenders

    New subscriber…just what I needed. This might give us a few more months. Our 4 year old grandson gets super frustrated because he can’t begin to keep up with his sister. Is this hard to do?

    How did you wire the ryobi battery adapters to the plug and play part of the fast scooter controller?

    Hello and thanks for the video. Was the controller upgrade necessary? Would the stock 24v controller handle the 36v?

    • @FaithfulFarmstead
      @FaithfulFarmstead  Před rokem

      I got the 36v overvolt kit. The only thing I would do different is not use Ryobi batteries. The way these Mount made it REALLY difficult to keep them from moving or falling off. If I could do it again I’d use dewalt, Bauer, or something similar that locks into the clip better. The Ryobi adapters don’t have a great way to mount them

      Oh wow, that’s good to know. I might have to consider a different route then.

      @AroundtheHouseTV be careful with the Dewalt batteries, they don't have a built in BMS. You will need to add them or you may drain them too low. I've use old drill handles to hold Ryobi batteries and that holds them pretty well.

      Sorry just now seeing this. It was on ebay if you search for a 36v controller for a razor. Theres one guy that sells kits and stuff and his store pops up first

    Hi how many minutes the quad can run with this kind of batteries plz?

    • @FaithfulFarmstead
      @FaithfulFarmstead  Před rokem +1

      At least a 45min to an hour. Depends on the amp hours on the batteries. Most of mine are 2ah but the 4 or 6ah would be even better. Best part is you can drop new batteries in and keep right on going. When other kids are over it runs non stop all day with fresh batteries on the charger

      @@FaithfulFarmstead ok thank you, i bought 12v20ah gel and lead batteries and it's for 45 minutes maybe 1 hour of pleasure.. i think it's due to their weight. Next time i think i will look for kind of batteries you use..

  • @3613jeremy
    @3613jeremy Před rokem

    How is the 24v motor holding up to the 36v batteries I'm thinking about doing this next time I bought 2-12v 12amp batteries and modified the battery plate and it works great but batteries are cheaply made and usually don't last long

    • @FaithfulFarmstead
      @FaithfulFarmstead  Před rokem +2

      It’s been fine so far. Really happy with the upgrade! This thing gets ridden HARD

    • @randofix

      You’d be surprised how much these motors can take. It’s mostly a temperature problem, but as long as the motors can dissipate heat effectively, they’ll survive the increase in volts.

  • @fire808surf
    @fire808surf Před 2 měsíci

    Hey, I did this but went to the 40v
    It works well except when it’s “shock loaded” like a sudden throttle against something. Then the battery quits. Hooking it to the charger resets it quick but I’m looking for a fix.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    • @FaithfulFarmstead
      @FaithfulFarmstead  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hey sorry just seeing this. I do recall seeing a guy hook up a 40v battery to one of these but he had to install something separate to keep it from shorting out. If you search 40v Ryobi Razor it should pop up. One of the few videos I could find on a 40v setup

    • @FaithfulFarmstead
      @FaithfulFarmstead  Před 10 měsíci +1

    • @FaithfulFarmstead
      @FaithfulFarmstead  Před rokem

      Well our youngest has been riding stuff since he was 2 so he was very comfortable on this setup. He was 3-4 and bored with the original speed of the Razor Quad. BUT that is not the case with most kids his age that come over. He’s pretty comfortable behind the wheel
