If you listen carefully, she is simply a demagogue (a political leader who seeks support by appealing to the desires and prejudices of ordinary people rather than by using rational argument). In this political climate, demagogues have found a ready market for their ideas, which have no rationality behind them.

Up until now, I have had respect for the aborigines. This woman has single handedly opened my eyes, motivating me to do some research. What I discovered is the real meaning of truth telling. It is about distorting the truth as a money making business, benefitting the managers of the aboriginal industry who have been milking the taxpayer to line their own pockets. The result is we have two aboriginal groups, the victims and the predators who exploit the real aborigines. The predators are the greedy psychopaths masquerading as aborigines. Their business model relies on their truth telling exaggerations and outright lies, and the continuation of the aborigines they use to profit from the misery they insure never ends. WAKE UP AUSTRALIA, a genuine truth telling royal commission needs to get to the bottom of this ongoing, never ending exploitation of vulnerable people.

Throughout human history, the face of the entire world has always been changing: its ethnic groups, countries, borders, etc. Many of these changes have been unjust as they resulted from conflicts, violence, local and world wars, and crimes against humanity. We need to constantly learn from our history that not to create new injustices. One of such lessons suggests that we must not attempt to heal committed injustices by new injustices. Our history shows that any attempt to reverse established historical reality turns into injustice. In case of our country Australia, it is not possible to heal historical wounds of Indigenous people by giving them a special constitutional status and rights, or even 'sovereignty'. More than 26 millions Australians should not be discriminated compared to less than a million Indigenous people. We need to find just and really democratic ways of efficiently addressing their issues. Injustice cannot be healed by injustice!
With full respect to Indigenous people and regrets of what happened to them in the colonial past, we all still have to realize that the historical reality is that Australian nation consists now of people from many ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The Indigenous people group is not the biggest one and not the one, which made the biggest contribution into creating of modern Australia. Anyway, regardless of that, under no circumstances it is a good idea to try to reverse history, as it would mean racism and discrimination towards majority of people in Australia, which are not responsible at all for our colonial past. We need to strongly condemn colonial crimes and atrocities but accept historical reality and have really democratic society, where we all should be absolutely equal in our rights. No one, including Indigenous people, should have any special privileges regardless of their background and history. It is why I am against Voice and any specific ethnic and/or racial 'treaties' but strongly for really democratic Australian republic where every person would be absolutely equal in their rights.

They always come back to the "stolen generation". When my mother was in hospital recovering from a massive stroke, the woman opposite her was an aboriginal. Like myself, her husband came in every day to visit, and over the period of five months, I got to know them quite well. The husband was also aboriginal, and during the course of a conversation one day, he told me how he gets pissed off by people who are whiter than his skin colour, going on and on about the stolen generation. He told me that he and his wife were part of that, and if they hadn't been removed from their surroundings, they would NEVER have had the quality of life that they have both enjoyed. He also noted that people forget that young white girls who found themselves pregnant and not married, often had their babies stolen from them to give to couples who were looking to adopt. It is nice to know that not all aboriginal people carry on like ratbags, but it seems that the whiter they are, the worse they carry on with their supposedly racist bullshit.

Most of the supposedly 'stolen generation were in fact given up by their parents to the missions because they recognised that they would have a much better chance of a better life than if they remained with the tribe. Only around 12% were actually forcibly removed from the parents. The whole 'stolen generation' thing is a deliberately constructed and promoted lie for the purposes of directing huge sums of money to certain 'aboriginal' people in cities. Very very little of it ever reaches aboriginal communities.

sure there are exceptions in every type of scenario; but what was the more common situation and treatment? True regarding young pregnant white women, but there has been restitution to many of them; more importantly, it was the same cause for the ill treatment against both groups, and sadly so many of all colours still follow this debunked nonsense.

The British were the first country to abolish it on home soil and they were responsible for its demise worldwide through brute force by the Royal Navy . Whites and particularly the British have nothing to be ashamed of, and I'm not of British descent. The Arabs were huge slave traders along the east of the continent and the slaves obtained along the west of the African continent were supplied by NATIVE AFRICANS. Empires and colonisation have existed for millennia all over the planet. Europeans including the British were demonised about it not because it was exclusive to them but because they were better at it through better technology.

My best friend is a nurse. She moved to western australia and works in a hospital up north. The horrifying stories she tells me about babies, literally 5, 7, 9 month old babies coming into the hospital with herpes or clamidia(spelling sorry🥴) the women coming in beaten so badly that they lose eyes or teeth.. Or have been set on fire.. And fetal alcohol syndrome is disproportionately high amongst the aboriginal babies. I have also had experience when I lived in karratha , where not far from there, a whole estate of brand new houses was built for aborigines . Without word of a lie, within a few months, they had ripped out all the floors, doors windows, smashed every wall, stolen the air cons and hot water services, ripped up every plant that was landscaped, and took off. I also have some documentation from when my ancestors were first here mining in creswick in 1864, that shows that there were like, Marshall's appointed, to protect and help aboriginal communities, and punish anyone who mistreated them. Happy to share if anyone wants confirmation. So no Lydia , we don't believe your stories. We don't trust you will do the right thing. The person we need to listen to is Jacinta Price an Aboriginal woman who is not looking for handouts, a woman who works hard for her community and has a lot of good ideas. Education is the only way for people to raise themselves out of poverty. Good work ethics, putting the community first and getting off the drink and drugs is the only way forward in improving standards of living in all communities, you cannot help those who do not want to help themselves.
