If the rapture of the church happens before the tribulation period, does it mean we Christians don’t need to prep for the worst time, such as food, water, off-grid ready and all that?
The body that goes into the ground rots .
Yes at the rapture we as well all other believers will receive our new bodies, not the one that went in the ground. These bodies we have now were born in sin, have all the postmarks etc of sin and will physically die and rot way.
Our new bodies like Christ will be eternal.
Will we always be the same age as when we died..i have always wondered about this.

The Death Express
When The Death Express rolls up to your door, the things that you’re doing, right or wrong you can’t do anymore! Life on earth is short at its best, for we all are facing the acid test.
So when writing the poem (of life) make it rhyme, and it must be written on the shores of time. We must write it by faith, though we all like to see. But we can’t write this poem in eternity, so don’t sit on your seat until you hear the beep, get up and start now, awake out of your sleep!
What am I sending on the other side?
Before The Death Express comes (those wheels) to give us our ride?
So get busy, do good, and get involved.
And when The Death Express comes, your problems will be solved. Slow down; slow down, so that you may learn, don’t run ahead of our leader, you don’t know where to turn. Learn how to give, how to bear, how to share, Learn how to do good to men everywhere. Now you can watch for the signs as we go. Stay under the blood of Jesus, that washes white as snow. .
When The Death Express rolls up to give you your first ride, who is your escort, with a heart full of pride? Too proud to listen, too stubborn to hear, But Wait! Those wheels, those dreadful wheels are rolling near. There’s an escort for every one and who will yours be? I want Jesus in the Holy Ghost to escort me! Speaking of space, there’s room to spare, for this train picks up men everywhere. It transport the rich and it transports the poor. It drops off one generation and returns for more.
Those wheels, those dreadful wheels, those death wheels. Let’s face the facts now, and turn around. For why would you let sin forever hold you down? Repent, quit, be baptized in Jesus Name for remission of sins, receive the Holy Ghost and He will escort you in!
What happens? 1 Corinthians 15:51-58 and there you go! Revelation 11:15-19 and now you have two witnesses. Judgment!

There is another view on this. Immortality is conditional only for the redeemed. Those who have trusted in Christ. Death is death. OF the whole person. Absent from the body present with the Lotd means that Paul was looking and hopeful to bE raptured alive and not see death. The verse says "willing rather to be absent from the body..." this verse is consistent with Paul's verses in 1 Cor. 15 and 1 Thess 4 that believers are NOT present with the Lord until the LAST trumpet sounds at the rapture. We go to meet the Lord TOGETHER not one by ONE. ONLY God is Eternal. The non believing dead are not living eternally in hell fire. The second death is precisely that.... DEATH forever. Not life or consciousness in any form. Paul is hoping to be clothed with immortality at the resurrection otherwise he would have no hope of being with the Lord or having Eternal life.
Err.. not sure what you are saying here. Since the Lord's ascend, to be absent from the mortal body when a believer passes on is to pass from death to (eternal) life given a new immortal body.
What/where's the contention? There isn't any from that perspective is there. The interventioning period of the 'harpazo' rapturous gathering up (by God's timing and angelic activity) that bypasses a natural death .. is only for those saints/believers on earth alive and remaining (left behind for the prophesied events of 1 Thess 5 into the end of days).
And 1Cor15 speaks to the non visible translation of mortality to immortality.

Greetings - There is no sudden leap from this third dimension to the ninth/tenth/eleventh of the Lord Jesias in His Solar Jesiam Plane on His planet. This is not possible for anyone of any faith. Ascension has to be EARNED by attaining the fifth-dimensional frequency in body and soul after many incarnations we have all signed up for. There is no Hell, which is a ridiculous invention of priests to get the early simple-minded populace to obey the Commandments. Imagine your beloved family members being tormented forever while you are supposed to be in Heavenly bliss. A pathetic lie. Do not believe a word of it. We need to get out of the 3D rut and reach the fifth-dimensional frequency by 2032 which is the new Golden Age. We are the Twelfth and last Universe to be created, and the entire highly advanced Universes are all watching and assisting us in this process, as we are the only ones to have lagged behind in order to finally reach Ascension. So suppose you are a believer in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and all your family members are not really believer and they end up in Hell and you will go to Heaven and you will never see them again. How cruel is that ?
Everyone has a free wil to choose Jesus. If you do not want Him in this life He won't have you in the next.
We are given free choice. If someone dies without giving their lives to Christ then they chose that path
