The Maruti Vitara Brezza is the most fuel efficient SUV in India with the mileage rated at 24.3 km/l. It is priced attractively, so much so that the Ford EcoSport's prices have been reduced by Rs. 1.12 lakhs post the launch of the VItara Brezza.

Very good review. Vitara breeza is a real value for money car . But I wish it had 1.6 L diesel and 1.4 L K series petrol engine as a option .
Please do 0-100 test and do a comparison between Ford ecosport , Fiat Aventurra , Mahindra TUV 300 and Hyundai i20 Active.

The S-Cross is certainly better but much more expensive.

Please tell which one is better out of Brezza and Baleno in terms of interior space and comfort, front visibility and overall NVH(not engine noise).
I am interested in their petrol turbo versions releasing later this year. I think the Baleno will surely outperform in terms of performance because of the 200Kg weight advantage!

now it is almost certain that the boosterjet engine might not make a good deal with the brezza having been priced so high on the baleno rs.. 1.4 or a new 1.5 NA petrol sounds good but they can't make it under the excise benefits.. btw how about SHVS on such bigger capacity petrol engines to tuck them under the excise benefits like the ciaz did ;-)
I own a echosport for the last 3 years. it's no doubt the best car in the lot. but that is not the only criteria in choosing a car. the service is not that good and the parts of an echo is very costly but on the other hand maruthi has a better service network and parts are affordable. my opinion is go ahead with maruti
Maruti parts are similar priced.
Rajesh Pillai I have a ciaz so after having it for 2 yrs the maruti cars don't ask for maintenance.even my recent wagon r which I exchanged is also no maintainance.those cars are made for comfort, smoothness and reliability.
fire light see those crash test videos and you will find baleno,ciaz,brezza are 5star rated safely cars .I am not supporting the maruti cars but telling the true facts.you personally think why you see maruti cars in every corner of India .out of 10 cars maruti market share is 7/10 and rest 3 are other brands.

Very Informative Review. I liked it. The reviewer seems to have good knowledge. I'm a MS Swift Dzire (VDi) owner. I want to upgrade to a new car. My budget is not more than 10 lakhs. I am having tough time in deciding between VW Polo GT TSI and MS Vitara Brezza (VDI O). Though there is dramatic difference between both cars, Former gives you sheer driving pleasure being a DSG automatic, and Later gives you SUVish stance, reliable dealer network, and significant resale value. Which one to go for. Appreciate your suggestion!

With 60:40, someone can sit behind in the rear seat which is not possible with bench folding.

Short and sweet review, would love to see a detailed one. Maruti always provides VFM package but given the Brezza outer look, the interiors are little bit dull. The switches and buttons are from Swift and also the Steering wheel; which are cheap and will easily rattle after one or two years. For an Urban SUV, the chunkier steering wheel would have been looked very nice. Ford has slashed the price of Ecosport by a big margin and these two cars are going head on. In terms of performance, safety, and quality, Ecosport still holds its ground but in terms of sales Ford cannot match Maruti even though they have a better product.

Hi there we have a brezza diesel 2017 model and talking about rattles there are like negligible only felt when you hit a very hard bump or Rocky section.
How good and efficient Vitara will be to drive during peak hours of city traffic where we 90% of time drives between 30-50 Km/hr.. ?
Also you mentioned stearing handling is not so smooth, so will it be too tough to turn on sharp corners and rotate back ?

Avinash T check out the review from cnbc tv18, they talk about the average plastic cabin quality although i don't think its a major concern as it has other strong points to buy the car.
