My favorite Penny out of all Pennies created is the (1974*) Lincoln memorial )
It was this year penny that pulled me into Coin Collecting in a big WAY. I was saving coins three years prior to 1974, nothing in the way of Collecting really, but in December of 1974 on my 8th birthday that all changed, from a Saver, to the Collector. And wouldn't you no, I'm still at it today with the same keen eye,the love,+ luck, and ofcorse, my Lucky (Penny) dated (1974-:)
Thanks J&B for all y'all give, and bring to this wondrous hobby. God bless and have a great day's to come.

Opened up an old box in the basement that had been there since my grand dad died in 69, he was a colector. In it were 26 rolls of pre 70 wheeties and 32 S nickles along with a half roll of steel pennies. He had a very nice collection after starting in the 40's, we missed this old box arter he passed. Sure hope to find some goodies

My favorite Lincoln cent is the 1922 no D cent, and the weak D variety as well. I purchased a 1922-D Lincoln cent in full red graded by NGC
in MS 63 Red for a whopping $127.50 from a eBay seller back in 2009 or 2010. I looked at it
A lot and thought it to be a weak D variety. So I
cracked it out and sent it to PCGS for certification. They agreed with my assumption
and graded it Dead D and MS-64 Red. Pop Top
Only 1 non higher. At that time they would not
Let me add it to my registry set. I put it for sale
at Central States coin show in St Louis MO
and in sold for $5,000.00 plus buyers fees.
Hated to sell it but I took the proceeds and bought a MS-64 Red PCGS coin for my registry
set. Since that time I've found another Full red
Weak-D variety cent. It is graded by PCGS but
In is genuine UNC details cleaned. The coin was first sent to anacs and was certified as a Die 4 Variety which in my opinion is probably
The rarest of all the 1922 No D Variety. I still own this coin and still have the anac's certification for it. Always keep searching as you will and can find great coins out their.
I also found a 1946-P Lincoln cent and had anac's certify it as a double die. It wasn't
Verified so I sent it to Coneca's lead verifier.
Name forgets me. He looked at it and verified it as a Quadruple die obverse and a double die reverse. After that I sent it to Copper coin and he also verified it as well. With the paperwork I received I resent it to Anac's and it now holds
Copper coin's Plate coin for his book on double dies. I still own this coin as well, coin collecting can be a fun Great hobby for anyone not just the Rich in our society. Thanks for reading my rant and have fun in this Great hobby.

    Nickname.

Hello Sir, I've been watching heritage auctions and looking into coins since I was a little girl but most recently i have been giving my coin searching a lot more attention. Today from a fast food burger joint I found a 1981 no p penny that has been recast over what looks like a 1980 reused planchet. The numbers 8 and 0 can be seen in Lincolns beard and neck at about a 45° angle. This is the first recast I've ever seen with my own 2 eyes. Please let me know what you think it's been hard finding enough information.

I can tell you that my favorite pennies are NOT the clad ones... Pull one out of the ground & you can instantly tell if it's clad or copper as the clad are totally hammered in a short time whereas the copper stay nice for decades. Probably 95% of the clad cents I dig, I have to clean (please don't hate me ;-) ) just to be able to turn them in or spend! They MIGHT have been valuable coins when they were dropped, but are nearly unidentifiable because they degrade so fast.
