I see people comparing many drivers to him, but none of them recovered a lap from the entire grid after finding himself last (Brazil 2006), fought for the WC for two years in a row without driving the best car on the grid (1997-98), earned a 5 seconds advantage to the whole grid at the First lap in Monaco (1997), won races having pitted more times than the others (Hungary 1998 and France 2004), took pole in Monaco at 43 years of age driving the 5th car of the pack (2012), and many other things I'm not gonna list because It would take too much time. When someone will do many things comparable to them, I Will accept the comparison, but before that I wont. Michael Schumacher gave me the greatest TV sporting moment of my life when he won the 2000 championship for Ferrari and all Ferrari fans around the world. Not many people know this. But back in his karting days. He drove with the flag of Luxembourg, because it was free to enter the championship. Michael Schumacher didn't come from a rich background.

People often tend to forget what a shit team Ferrari was when Michael joined. He didn't join only for money. He joined for the glory. It was his ambition to get the oldest surviving team in F1 back on what Italians always thought was their rightful place - No. 1. The whole no compromise attitude left Ferrari bruised and beaten down but Michael Schumacher had an ambition, the drive, he knew he could get Ferrari back on top again. It took 4 long and at times heart-breaking years but once he made a winning team out of Ferrari once again he didn't stop. This is why he is the greatest. He made a shit Ferrari believe in themselves again an re-learn the winning ways. :)

96 to 2000 were magical.. it was what made Schumacher the greatest for me.. the 5 Championships were just the reward for all his hard work.

People often tend to forget what a shit team Ferrari was when Michael joined. He didn't join only for money. He joined for the glory. It was his ambition to get the oldest surviving team in F1 back on what Italians always thought was their rightful place - No. 1. The whole no compromise attitude left Ferrari bruised and beaten down but Michael Schumacher had an ambition, the drive, he knew he could get Ferrari back on top again. It took 4 long and at times heart-breaking years but once he made a winning team out of Ferrari once again he didn't stop. This is why he is the greatest. He made a shit Ferrari believe in themselves again an re-learn the winning ways. :)
