    Like the Nicolaitan book you can order this one in almost any bookstore, or you can get it in Kindle and Audiobook formats!
    We're not sure of the meaning of Nicolaitan. It is mentioned only twice in Scripture, both in Revelation 2. We know that nico = conquer and laites = lay people, so the literal meaning is to rule over lay people. We tend to think that Nicolaitans were only in existence long ago, but sadly they have a large presence in the church even now. Who are these people? Bruce Bertram of The Word of God Ministries and www.wholebible.com lets you in on the biblical methods of detection and gives encouragement for those who feel condemned by them.

      Thank you, Mr. Plummer. The identity of the Nicolaitans is actually pretty clear, isn't it? Judge by the fruit. A ruler who uses or allows the teachings of Baalam and Jezebel, the most prominent of which is sexual immorality, is a Nicolaitan. Sexual immorality includes divorce and adultery, which is rampant in Protestant leadership. The sexual immorality of the Catholics is in forbidding marriage and doing sex anyway. Superficially, they all might say they disapprove, but it has become institutionalized, so they act confused at the definition. Who, me?

      Thank you, Ellen, you're very kind. Currently, I am working on a book titled Whole Bible Prophecy. It's an attempt to figure out prophecy using the whole of the Word rather than a bunch of extra-biblical dogma such as dispensationalism or covenentalism. I'm about three-quarters done and I think I've got a much better picture than is usually presented by the Church. My position is that much of what we need to know is right there in black and white, and one of the main impediments to understanding is that there is no Church in the Bible!

The body of Christ, the remnant, the Bride, and the olive tree are creations of God and are made up of all followers of God in all ages. The Church (all the organizations, Catholic and Protestant) was created by men. This Church is not found in the Bible. It has appropriated a name for itself trying to pass as the Body of Christ but it doesn't do what God says to do. Nicolaitans: Those who lord it over the laity.
    The "One Man Ministry" or the practice of the Nicholaitans, as Jesus referred to it and hated, is inherently dangerous because individuals are so vulnerable to the attack of the adversary. The Christian Church needs to decentralize the locus of power and control, and instead, allow the different gifts and gift ministries in each body of believers to manifest and be exercised as directed by the holy spirit.
    Since the outpouring of the holy spirit on The Day of Pentacost, the clergy/laity dichotomy has been replaced with the ministry of the holy spirit flowing through all believers.

    It looks like some comments have been deleted, possibly by the people who posted them, perhaps by Google. But I'm going to make some general comments responding to the deleted comments anyway, because I hear so many similar comments.
    To those who hate Israel: sorry, you are not a believer. God tells us that whoever blesses Israel will be blessed, and whoever curses Israel will be cursed. Israel is the apple of God's eye, protected by Him, have given us the Word and many good things, and when He comes back in wrath it will be to save Israel from being wiped out. If you hate Israel, you hate God, no two ways about it.
    However, you might just be a little confused, because not all Israel is Israel as Paul says. We can point out where they are not following the Word, we can criticize Israel's lack of faith. The synagogue of Satan is still alive and well, of course, but that is much different than Israel (and includes the church of Satan as well). Our ministry makes a biblical difference between Israel and Judaism. Watch 'A Whole Body: Jews, Judaism, Messainic and Roots' at czcams.com/video/O34XKDYv-5Y/video.html. Another good video is 'A Whole Body: Israel in Three' at czcams.com/video/AesYOFGonVM/video.html
    If you claim to have special spiritual insight for items not found in the Word, and you hate Israel, sorry but you are a false prophet. If you want to divide over things not found in the Word such as birthdays, you may not be a false prophet but you are definitely adding to the unbiblical chaos and confusion currently in fashion among Messainics, "hebrew roots" people, two house people and the like.
    Stick with the Word. Read it and do it. When you are filled with His Word, and working to put it into practice in every area of your life, then come and talk about special insights. I think you'll find that all that junk simply fades away in the light of His glorious living oracles.

One of the main points of prophecy is to reveal iniquity so it can be corrected, so repentance is necessary and that is defined by following all of God's Words to us. Actually we should realize that the church is not the body of Christ. Some of the body are scattered throughout the church, but the church itself isn't even in the Bible. They are all just country clubs or franchises like a fast food restaurant calling themselves "the church." A Nicolaitan is anyone who "lords it over" others, and can be found inside as well as outside the church. Scientists, doctors, politicians and professors are prone to lording it over others. In the church we call them priests, pastors or rabbis. Check out our other videos for more information such as "The Whole Picture: Who Put the Church in Charge?" czcams.com/video/3dkxJTQCriI/video.html
      You are correct in that there is a different measurement for "saved" versus "unsaved." Saved people do what God says. It's as simple as that. We repent if we're wrong. Unsaved do not either do what God says or repent when the truth is shown to them. Jesus says He hates the works of the Nicolaitans. But there is hope for them. Our job is not to try to figure out who is saved or unsaved; just live and teach the Word. I was a Nicolaitan at one time. When confronted with biblical truth, I repented. I still have to repent on occasion. We all might act like Nicolaitans sometimes, and thank God repentance is always available while we're still breathing.

      @WholeBible  Před 9 lety +2

      Nesto Martin
      Look at it this way. They are not listening to God, so why would they listen to you or me? One of the reasons I came up with the concept of whole Bible Christianity (not that it is new - it is very old) is to make sure to focus the discussion on God's Word. The church in general is not focused on God's Word. They are focused on the pastor, or the denominational creed(s) or something else. I'm convinced that if Jesus walked into a typical church nowadays He would get the same reception as given by the religious leaders at the time of the crucifixion.
      So get heavy into the Word. Use our website and videos for help. Fill yourself with His Word so much that you can respond to anyone, anytime, just from the Word. Not from Messianic stuff, not from Hebrew stuff, not even from our stuff. Just the Word. It might take a while, but read the Word all the way through. Again and again. Do what He says (we need both reading and doing). Our concept along with supporting videos and articles (there's a blog too) will help, but nothing replaces lots of reading. And doing.

    • @WholeBible
      @WholeBible  Před 5 lety +1

      I suggest starting at the beginning and working your way through the whole thing. You are correct, it can be difficult, and there are some rather bald references here and there. Especially when you look up some of the words in a concordance or read the notes if you have them. On your first couple times through the Bible it's a little slow. So when you get to something that slows you down, such as a genealogy, then skip it. By your third or fourth time through the Spirit will have helped you build an improved frame of reference and more things start making sense. You will begin to read some of the difficult stuff and find that you can "see" better. The key is to DO what you read. I don't mean every single word will apply directly to you. But there are things like holidays and diet that will. One of the big changes for us whole Bible Christians is in ceasing to have a "take-it-or-leave-it" attitude about His living oracles. He died a torturous, bloody, painful death in love on a piece of wood so we could have forgiveness and direct access to the Father. Giving back some of that love by obeying His Word with all our heart, mind and strength isn't unreasonable.

    The way I see it is that , the church is becoming empty. Not just physically, but spirituality. Our nation is so very blessed in so many ways and the our greatest blessing or right freedom of religion is being used against us! I've seen people leave the church for petty reasons , excuse ? The enemy is taking our empty church and filling it with those who hate Yaweh,and His word right under our nose. Please remember we are suppose to go to the House of God to praise Him , it's not a fashion show, a show of intellect, ECT. So as a God fearing nation, that to me means The Fear To Be Without Him, check ourselves at the door and remember who's House were in! While He still has His hand on us!

      @WholeBible  Před 5 lety

      I agree with you that churches are empty, but I think it is because His Word is absent. For a long time now love of the truth has been missing in most "churches." Churches are full, hearts are empty and turned to stone. We don't go to "the house of God," we are the house of God. People may be leaving churches for petty reasons, but they are also leaving for substantial reasons: they are starving and thirsting, and go to look for spiritual food. "The Church" is not in the Bible, but the body of Christ or the Bride or olive tree or remnant is alive and well in spite of the Churches best efforts.

    R all churches run by Rome?
    Is the machine, the BEAST?

    • @WholeBible
      @WholeBible  Před 6 lety +2

      No, all churches are not run by Rome. Up until the Reformation, there was only the Catholic Church. Around 900 A. D. there was a split into the east or Greek Orthodox and the west or Rome, but they are still pretty much the same and will find it easy to unite behind the Beast. Luther wanted to reform the Catholic (it means universal) Church, not split from it. At least at first. The Protestants wanted to do better, and in some ways they did, but have since fallen into many of the same selfish traps. So they are doing the same basic things as Rome which is why you might think Rome is running the show.
      No, the machine is not the Beast, but the Beast will use the machine because the machine and the Beast are so much alike. The Beast will use many of the same tools as the machine such as lip-syncing the Word without really following it, cherry-picking Bible verses, ignoring the New Covenant and reinterpreting the Word. The Church (or churches) will fall right in line with the Beast and support him in every way. Sexual immorality is the hallmark of the Beast as it is with the machine. People are running the church, and without God people are ruled by the flesh. It's people that are the problem. Organization is not bad, as long as it stays true to the Word of God. When the Nicolaitans get involved, then the organization goes bad. Jezebel and Balaam are the examples they follow.
      It's easy to single out the Catholic Church and assign "boogy man" status to it because it is so prominent, and so wrong in so many ways. They might take the lead, but they will not be by themselves. Protestants are not correct simply because they are Protestant. We can't blame the Nicolaitans either because they are just delivering what many people want in their hearts already.
      It might be hard to believe, but there are actually some true God-followers among the members of the machine. We were members of the machine for a long time. We were just taught wrong. As the Spirit moves, all over the world believers are waking up to the Truth of the whole of the Word.

      Went to a nearby Methodist Service Sunday cuz I was running so late( I knew it was a weak church from attending before, (weak church better than no church, right? Uugh! It had gotten even worse - red flags goin' up every few minutes of my attendance & this first and only time I wanted to walk out of a church service- Later t LORD led me to a book I had, to certain chapter that described The Antichrist and spirit of antichrist- the exact way this service was conducted - LOOK UP: "Satan's Counterfeit Church" SO YOU ARE NOT DECEIVED! - + t whole service was bizarre w very little scripture or even commentary and so called Preacher sounded like left wing propadanizer!- also they read creed that had a dedication to catholic church(so I added real loud "NOT" in front of it & refused to say other parts of it. ) After service when I questioned them about it they were very defensive and said it was "ok" because the word "catholic" was not w a capital "C" and really meant universal (which I knew but still didn't like it. I felt sad there was no alter call, only a few minutes mention of Jesus & t Word and at other times spoke how he would've been inclusive of t LGBT and their agenda etc. and other groups like it - I was sad Holy Spirit not ackknowleged or felt(& no wonder), - nothing there wad like a real church service should b except collection plate. Can't wait to get back home to a spirit filled Bible preachin' service w power and w lots of love and gifts of the spirit abounding! Praise The LORD!

    Doctrine of Balaam:
    1 Corinthians 8:4, 7-10 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
    Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
    But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
    But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.
    For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
    1 Corinthians 10:27-31 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
    But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
    Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?
    For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
    Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
    Why would a true follower of Jesus/Yeshua be going to a feast of a non-believer or into an idol's temple prominently displaying the statues of their dieties!?!
    After stating to flee from idolatry, in the very same epistle he says that an idol is nothing and that it doesn't matter whether you eat the food sacrificed to idols or not UNLESS 1) it offends a "weaker" brother or 2) "don't ask and as long as they (the non-believer at a feast for their dieties) don't say that it's sacrificed to idols it's ok.
    Clearly Jesus/Yeshua does NOT agree!! And neither does Jude.

      I think what Paul is getting at is the difference between not knowing something and knowing it. If one eats without knowing the food has been offered to idols, then the food itself does not make one defiled. On the other hand, if someone tells you that it is, then obviously his/her conscience is in question and now you don't eat (for the sake of the weak conscience). At the time, a strong-minded believer might go to the house of the weaker brother, and the weaker brother might have purchased meat at a bargain. Even now it is very hard to be together with other people and know the history of the food being served. Maybe the food is from another country and was offered to idols or prepared by idolators. We don't know.
      Some use this verse to excuse eating anything, such as pork. They use the "do all to the glory of God" and other statements such as Romans 14 as justification for disobedience. This is very wrong in my estimation. The issue is conscience, and probably the rulings of rabbis also. Some want to increase laws, thinking that makes them more holy, clean or undefiled. They extend the prohibition of eating food offered to idols as a sin and you're going to hell even if you don't know from where the food came. The heart is the important thing, not the food or the plurality of rulings on the Law.

      @@WholeBible at the time of Paul's writings, it was obvious that an idol's temple was an idol's temple. The statues of Diana, Zuess, Athena, Eros, etc were prevalent. There could be no mistake about it being an idol's temple. Pagan feasts such as Saturnalia and such would also have been quite obvious that the foods at these feasts were sacrificed to their idols.
      How many TRUE followers of Jesus would dare go into a building with a statue of the Baphemet and eat one of the feasts and think that the food eaten was NOT sacrificed to the idol!?!

    • @WholeBible
      @WholeBible  Před 3 lety

      @@heidioverall450 Again, Paul says the idols are nothing. They represent gods that don't exist. It's no big deal to eat food offered to them. However, I think it's clear that Paul is postulating "if" you were seen eating at an idol's temple, wouldn't the person with weak understanding have a problem? And shouldn't those of us with stronger consciences avoid causing an issue with the weaker brother? Therefore he's saying that even though we know the idol is nothing, we shouldn't just go around shoving our understanding in other people's faces. He's not saying that it's okay. He's saying that those of us who understand that idols are nothing shouldn't eat at the temple because we might cause issues. "...some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol..." So the new believer has questions still. He is not fully convinced that "although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth...yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist..." Even though we might have the freedom to eat by this knowledge, we also want to avoid freaking out the new believer. We balance our freedom with love.

      @@heidioverall450 Let's put it this way - it doesn't send you to hell. However, as I said, I think Paul was just coming up with an example, not that he was trying to say anything goes. The big "if" was in verse 10. Each of us has to make our own decisions. We each have to examine our heart and make our own way. I do not make rules for others; I just tell them what I think the Bible says. They have to figure it out.
      1 Thessalonians 2:3-4 ESV. For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity or any attempt to deceive, but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.
      Is it wrong to eat food offered to idols? Well, IF you go to a temple and eat, then I would says so. Do you know it was offered to idols, like when you are at a neighbor's home? Then don't ask and just eat. If the neighbor says it was offered to idols, then it is an issue for him even if he isn't a believer, so then I wouldn't eat. Should I make a rule for you in every instance? No. I can tell you what I think, maybe even what I would do, but you have to decide. There is a clear command not to partake which Jesus reinforces twice in Revelation 2:14 and 20. So to answer the question, no it is not a good thing. Am I going to police you? No, God didn't assign me to follow you around to see if you are eating wrong. Is this answer any better?

      Language doesn't matter, obviously. Israel had many messages from God over centuries and ignored Him (mostly) anyway. People speaking Hebrew at the time of Yeshua killed Him anyway. Nowadays people have the clear message in unmistakable language and continue the tradition of unbelievers ignoring Him. No language is holier than another. It's not the language, it's the heart.
