      @@recruitmentch How many years after Makelele left did Real win those UCLs? It wasn't until 10 years later that they won the UCL, the last time they won it before that was with Makelele. Not to mention they won La Liga 2/3 years with Makelele, after losing him it took 4 years for them to win it again. Makelele was the most important part of that Real squad during those success years between 2000-2003, the fact real didn't win anything new until 2007 after losing Makelele speaks volumes. So if you don't have any idea what you're talking about, don't say anything.

    • @Fung15
      @Fung15 Před rokem +1

      I am a Madridista and think it was the right decision. The wrong decision was to not replace him. This is coming from Makelele himself who is of course going to paint himself in a good light. However he signed a new 5 year contract only one year before demanding a new one, and nothing had really changed in the one year since he signed. Now I do agree that Makelele deserved to earn more than he did, however he was the one who signed the 5 year contract only one year before demanding a new one. And when Real Madrid didn't want to cave in? Makelele did what he did at Celta Vigo, he refused to train until he got his will. And when that happened, Real Madrid was never going to do anything but sell him. The same thing as any club with some self respect should do.
