  • My first LONG video upload. Bear with me as i could no longer compress or shorten it.
    Episode 2 on my Old worn Dusty Kit Resurrection Build. Bringing new life to a derelict Model. Instead of buying expensive aftermarket accessories i used an affordable Fancy Jewelry Set for my Tank Chain, Elaborate Building Carvings and a wall post ornament.
    You will also see here i used Cast Stone, a material used by Dentist and/ or Dental Assistants when carving False teeth molds and replicas as the ground material. Plus I will share with you my DIY Manhole Cover using common materials.
    Music by:
    1. Underwater Exploration - Godmode
    2. Early Anvil - Unicorn Heads
    3. Pangelic - The Mini Vandals
    4. Wandering Soul - Asher Fulero
    5. Wind Riders - Asher Fulero
    6. Eternal Garden - Dan Henig
    7. Drifting at 432 Hz - Unicorn Heads
    8. Heaven and Hell (Part 2) - Jeremy Blake

    Love it! I like the improvement of older builds. For me, my projects are never finished, because every time my modeling skill improves or I have access to new materials, I think about old projects and how I could improve them with these new techniques and materials.

      Yes and it is so satisfying to get a chance to use your new skills in bringing new life to an old kit or build. Let alone save you money from buying new kits at times. Cheers to you and thanks for dropping by. See you soon.

    No doubt about it.....you never fail to impress, ITT. Resurrecting an old kit, using plastic and cardboard to build a house, polystyrene and everyday materials all mixed and matched to create a scene.....always great to see that notification so look forward to the next one.

    I really like the resurrection builds I find on YT. It takes a certain set of skills to deconstruct an old brittle model and make it something beautiful. As always.. a fantastic build.. er.. rebuild.

    Was the tank originally painted with acrylic or enamel paint?
    What type of putty was used for the zimmerit?
    The entire project turned out great. 🏅

    • @IvanTheTerrible911
      @IvanTheTerrible911  Před 2 lety +2

      Hello Joe. Painted with Both types. Just any two part putty will do. In my case i use severa;l Apoxie Sculpt, tamiya putty and green stuff. Here just a tamiya 2 part putty. Thank you always for sticking by. Cheerios mate.

    I know this response is a bit late, but I have some older figures I'd like to re-do. I'm assuming that I could use the same stripper product?

    • @IvanTheTerrible911
      @IvanTheTerrible911  Před rokem

      Hello Mate. Anything covered by an acrylic paint and lacquer will be fine. You can use the same stripper. Hope this helped. Cheers.

      @@IvanTheTerrible911 I just may be out of luck. They're old figures that I'm almost certain are painted with Humbrol (enamel?) because that's what I was using as a kid. Thanks a bunch for the response, I'll look into it further.

    Great video, one question why do you use the bycicle driver in summer uniform and the tankraider are in winter uniform?

    • @IvanTheTerrible911
      @IvanTheTerrible911  Před 2 lety +2

      Hello Fabian. Good Question. As you have noticed, the Title of the Diorama is End of Winter. the time depicts when winter is already over and ice is Thawing. By the late 1944 when at a war's end, the Wehrmacht was effectively down in its last straws in terms of Victories and supplies. By that time uniforms, equipment and war implements were getting scarce so any available supply let alone uniforms were put to use. If you notice the ANORAK camo (with reversible white) is in Autumn Pattern but was generally used in different periods too. So, for lack of supplies, the uniforms by the end of the war was anything goes. Hope this helped.

    Always quality work uncle Ivan! Glad I found your channel! What is the brand of jewelry you used as this would come in handy, plus my local hobby lobby carries "fancy " jewelry. It's a much cheaper route, vs the trumpeter brand "master tools" chain lengths.

    • @IvanTheTerrible911

      Hello Rick my friend. there is no specific jewelry brand i use. You can use you fancy jewelry from your place too. Anything "reasonably" priced for me is a Go. Thank you mate. Hope to see you soon. Have a good one.
