- Build of Tamiya's 3.7cm anti-tank gun and a small diorama featuring a scratch built destroyed building. The PaK 35/36 anti-tank gun first appeared in 1934 and was used in the Spanish Civil War. It was Germany's most numerous anti-tank weapon at the start of World War 2, though even as early as 1940 it was starting to prove ineffective against newer Allied tanks. During the invasion of the Soviet Union the Pak 35/36 was unable to damage the new T-34 and KV-1 tanks, but was still responsible for destroying hundreds of older tanks. Despite its obsolescence the weapon continued to be used throughout the war. The Tamiya Pak 35 kit is available in various forms: amzn.to/38BhKP3

It’s so detailed, you did an outstanding job mate. It’s wonderful
Thanks mate
@@ModelNerd No problem
An outstanding diorama. These classic Tamiya kits build up beautifully. Some of these kits are still impressive to this day.
Thank you. Yes, they really are great kits with a huge amount of potential.
@@ModelNerd Currently working on a Tamiya late model Panther G. A joy to build, and I am adding just the right amount of aftermarket parts to enhance the detail without going overboard. Amazing how quickly the level of detail builds up as one continues construction. Have subscribed. Cheers from the Commonwealth Down Under.
Thanks mate! I've got one of those Panther Gs about halfway done (and not touched for ages!) too :) Nice kit.
Had this kit as a kid - it was a fun build and not a bad kit for the era.
Yep - it's still half decent these days, for the price.
This is a good ole classic kit. I built this one when I was a kid. I still have it.
Yep, it's great. I built it when I was a kid too, but it was lost to the mists of time :(
I love the step by step guide! Truly makes me want to do a diorama for my models
You should!
H
;-)
I would love to do more big dioramas but if I do there just big enough to fit the kit.
It's all about space.
Great result, love the narration and have got some tips from this upload. Lovely piece of work!
Thank you - I'm glad you liked it
Great diorama mate, well done.
Thanks Bill!
Back as a child used to build these kits - My father was 42 when I was born ! - Having served during WW2 - As a child I was enthralled by what Dad during the War -& After my Dad Died I decieded to build diorma's of my Dads most hairy moments & his finest monents ! - Building these I could pass family history on to my Son -
While showing him how to build these wonderful kits ! Ha ! -that was 28 years ago - I did show my son how to build & fix things - He's a qualified mechanic now !
But I still want to build my Dads dioramas And watching you tutorial here as made me realise how the modeling world has moved on since I was a teen ! -
Think the last kit I made was a triumph TR7 - Shows how long a go that was & In 1993 I built some biplanes with & for my sons bedroom light ?
You did a really smart job of your diorama ! -Theres nothing wrong about your wall - there was walls of every shape and size in europe during WW2
Yours wall could be a perfect represntation of any one of them ? - I know you have a view of what you want to build in your mind and some times what you build does not live up to your visual Idea ! - But that was great Job and has helped me no end ! - Thankyou for sharing your video !
SB British Isles !
Thank you Stephen, I appreciate that. Great to hear your story about your dioramas too - what a unique way to preserve memories. Are you going to get back into modelling again?
Watching your very informative video has ingnited my interest in building my 'Dads diaramas' - I do have a note book somewere with alist of Dads history & what I could build and what scale it needed to be ? It must be difficult videoing and creating you models at thevsame time ? ...all the very best !
A very simple, classic kit, that I built myself way back in the 80's. And you've taken it to a whole new level,..truly outstanding 👍
Lovely to watch it come together, well done indeed 👌
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like a photograph taken live in combat. For a modeler, that is the best result you can achieve. A real looking scene. You can almost hear the sounds of war when you look at it. Liked and subbed.
Thank you, I really appreciate your comments. This is one of my favourite models although, to be honest, I'm not 100% sure how I achieved it and whether I could achieve it again! :)
Another old classic- your execution is spot on. Love your work.
Thank you Paul
LOOKS SOO GOOD MAN
Thanks mate
WOW! absolutely Amazing! you got a sub
Thanks mate, much appreciated
Simple, classic Tamiya kit carefully built and put into a convincing diorama. Well done!
Thanks Lawrence. I've said it before, but I can't get enough of these older Tamiya kits. They really are classics.
Mightily impressed with your patience, skill and artistic impression…
Thank you very much!
Nice work mate
Thank you!
I'm making a 21x12inch (53x30cm) diorama of a portion of a destroyed city block, using the 7,5 cm PAK40. It will be my first large diorama.
Wow, that's a very decent size! Enjoy!
Nice work! 👍
Thank you!
Don't sell yourself short, the diorama, the figures and the model are brilliant. I love these old Tamiya kits. When I was a kid, I lost count of the Tamiya Panther A, Tigers, Panzer Grenadiers, Officers sets I built, all displayed on model railway grass with brick wall and barricade sets. Those were the days. Thanks for a great model. Keep it up!
Thanks Jason. Those were indeed the days.
Awesome diorama 👍🏾
Thanks 👍
I know I‘m repeating myself but these old kit‘s just look so nice when treated with some love!
I recently build the rather old Sd.Kfz.223 by Tamiya and originally I just wanted to try and train some painting techniques but in the end it became one of my most beautiful models🙂
I completely agree! It's incredible that some of these kits are from the 70s yet still have similar (if not better!) fit than some modern kits. And the prices are great.
This Tamiya gun becomes classic. Great video.
Thank you
Artistry at its finest!
You have to be in the right place to create such intimate detail.. Almost as if you were there...
Thank you mate!
GREAT JOB!
Thanks mate!
That's a fine cannon from the early to mid war. Not sure if anyone else has kitted version.
Being a older modler I built most of these old tamyia monogram and revell kits when they where new kits.
As a modler today I have no problem working with older kits with there many problems compared to the wonderful kits we are getting now days.
To me it's just modeling I enjoy working with less than perfect kits.
Thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks Jerry. I completely agree - I really enjoy these old Tamiya kits and I've got a few more coming up too :)
I watched this when it first came out and loved it! Even still 2 years later this a great model and you have such a soothing voice.
Ah, thank you mate. This has been, by far, my most popular video ever in terms of views. I keep trying to capture whatever I achieved here in my future builds! :)
really beautiful build. im getting into dioramas and painting as before it was mainly building models. your video really helps me get an understanding of what the process might look like. i appreciate you posting these in such detail!
Thank you - I really appreciate your feedback. Good luck with your dioramas!
Wow....an amazing diorama/vignette. The scene is impressive and the build and commentary just top it off for us viewers...techniques and simple materials creating a super scenario. Congrats and thanks for showing upcoming videos.
Thank you Robbo, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I really like the stone wall, maybe a bit perfect for this particular model
Thanks. This is by far my most popular video on CZcams, but still I really dislike that wall! I have the base arranged on my shelf so that I can't see that side of it!
Congrats what a amazing diorama
Thanks Marco
That's excellent job with a not so new model. I think I built that in the early '80s. Very well done!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
Excelent diorama with antitank pakgun 35-36mm with crew . Thank you for sharing this great video !🥇🏆👍✌️
Thanks, glad you liked it.
My father made a diorama using this kit in the 1980s.
Awesome! I wish I still had my old models and dioramas...
Great job sir
Thanks Curtis
Phenomenal job!
Thank you :)
Very inspiring!
Thanks!
Incredible. I wish I had this kind of talent.
Thanks mate. To be honest, a lot of it is just practice, practice, and looking back on previous projects to see what I did/didn't like about the end result.
Great pro skill !!! Thanks nice video. from Japan.
Cheers - thanks for watching.
I started modeling when u was 6 now 8 yrs later I'm back after getting inspired by u
Thanks mate. Welcome back to the hobby! I hope you have fun!
I understand that this is a old video but to me the soldiers looked to clean.
So simple but very effective. Wonderful to see. Very nice work all round
Thanks Steve!
very nice finished piece. enjoy your diorama builds
Cheers Stuart - glad you enjoyed it
Great diorama pack 36 with crew .
The building of the diorama is fantastic !
🎩👌🏆🥇
Thank you very much!
This looks stunning. Great work
Thank you so much :)
Nice diorama-a great old Tamiya kit that.I used the same kit for my diorama featuring the US Airborne post D Day
Thanks Gordon. Your diorama sounds great mate!
Awesome! 👏
Thanks! 😄
Great video work and build documentation, very nice work and inspiring...thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow I love the diorama! You could add some bullet holes in the walls and some broken glass, but you did a great job!
Thanks Nathan. You're right - broken glass would look good mix in with the rubble.
Great build and fantastic diorama well done ,interestingly i just built this kit and did my first diorama cheers
Thanks mate. Where was your diorama set?
*A very lovely dioram with an old Tamiya kit, well done! The gun is still very correct even if it comes from the 70's-80's, 👏👏👏*
Thanks mate. Yep, got to get myself a couple of other old Tamiya kits. Can't get enough of them...
Incredible. Looks great.
Thank you mate!
Nice.
Can you make T-Rex vs Stegosaurus diorama and make Snake underwater diorama.
Thanks. As for the dinosaurs....hmmm...maybe....a jungle diorama is an interesting idea, but I was thinking more of US Marines in the Pacific :)
Can you make dinosaur diorama ?
OK, maybe.... :)
El kit de Tamiya completo y unas ruinas. Que original !!!😛
Great class. I subscribed to you. Someone who doesn't demonize the old Tamiya kits. I love these old products, with a little patience to deburr the figures they are still great kits
Thanks Rainer - I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Wow! AMAZING build
Thanks mate
Great work and nice tutorial video!Thx!👍
Thanks mate!
instant sub, this is really awesome!
Awesome, thank you!
Well Done
Thanks Ellis
Great video awsum job
Thanks!
Amazing build! I would have maybe spent a little more time sanding the floor boards to make some of the undamaged edges fit together more snug. Nonetheless, a work of art!
Thanks Eric
Amazing work man👍 It looks so real
Thank you so much 😀
Good morning. Nice diorama has you build.
The interior from the Ruin is exelent 💪😊
Thank you so much mate 😀
Very atmospheric.
Thanks
Most beautiful and impressive attention to details, have to try the 'dust pigments', realistic and gorgeous...Thanks for sharing, amazing job!!!😍😍...Love the drawing on the ground btw, nice touch!
Thank you Phil mate
Superb job and very well finished 👍👍
Many thanks
wow! that's really make me amazed. you're awesome mate
Thanks a lot!
Very nice diorama. I think the exterior wall looks pretty damn good. I have used that very Tamiya kit several times through the years. However, I never devoted the entire diorama to the gun. I think you pulled it off quite nicely. Good show!
Thanks Stephen, much appreciated. I was considering doing something else with the gun (towed etc) but then I wasn't sure what to do with the crew - and I hate wasting figures :)
I like the stone it actually came out quite good. I’m not sure about the floor boards but you seem to pull off quite good and interesting diorama’s. So it all works. Nice film thank you 👍😁👊😎
Thanks for watching Ant
Nice job, Francois and Shep would be impressed :-)
Thanks! High praise indeed!
well done, enjoyed seeing the final results 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Excellent work.gave me some ideas for a old verliden kit,the Italian farm house. Thanks! Good modelling! Nicholas p.
Right up my alley, love the WW2 models, I would say they’re is the most popular model kits ever, would I be correct lol, I’ll say yes 😀
It could be! It is also by FAR the most popular video on my channel.

Nice job , thanks for sharing
Thanks Chip.
This is out of this world so realistic 👍
Thank you Chris
Sublime,thankyou.
Many thanks!
Nice project! All the elements from the scratch built walls, accessories to the rubble all came together very well. Those old Tamiya kits are still cool, if the figures are a little to be desired...🤨 So many nicer detailed figures around these days (but at a price), but as a set you’ve done Tamiya justice... Well presented video too - good stuff!! 👏👏🙂
Thank you very much!
Awesome second world war diorama . You have done a great work . So much details !
Thanks mate, I really appreciate that. I'm glad you liked it. I've got a lot more diorama ideas coming up once I've moved to my new place in a couple of months.
@@ModelNerd I know what you mean . It is a necessity to have space making dioramas and keep them !

Wow! That looks so cool! Amazing work I do agree about the stone wall, I think if you would have made it more damaged it would have been better. Keep it up!
Thanks!

Looks awesome.
Cheers mate!

I think I have this anti tank gun in my model store in the loft still to build. I like the setting you’ve placed it in and when I get round to building it may do something similar.
