After reading some comments I just wanted to put this out there. I think having Chloe go over and seriously reflect on any mistakes is fair, and there isn't anything to indicate that her manager was being harsh about it. I'm not saying her debut was bad, I agree with comments that say it was memorable and very cute, but it's never a bad thing to look at how you can improve in future.
In her recent chatting stream as well Chloe talked about how her manager helped her gather assets for her stream and lost sleep helping her get through her 5 test streams. By all accounts, Lui and Chloe's manager is very kind and supportive.
I watched her debut while at work......and dear god I nearly crashed a dozen of times due to how cute it was. Making the mistakes was one thing, but her reactions to them just made it entertaining. She's a natural boke and incredibly cute panic voice.
This is a good comment. Thanks for the clarification. 100% agree with you.
Well, that’s.. what managers do. They manage lmao
@@MorainStaria Yah. I really get the feeling that while the literal meanings of the Japanese word and the translation as "scold" might kind of line up, the connotations associated to the words don't really match.
From clips, I get the sense she's the type of person who would enjoy the self-deprecating humor of a persona that gets into 'trouble' all the time, so that's the interpretation I took away from this.
If anything, the mistakes made her debut much more memorable and cute.
Korone's debut is legendary for scuff/pon and look how popular she is! (I realise that's more because of *who* Korone is, rather than just her debut but I couldn't help make the comparison lol!)
Surely! But looking at it from another point of view, I can understand the concerns of her manager and therefore her lecture to Chloe: The excess of agitation and nervousness, could also have led her to make some particularly critical mistakes during the stream (e.g. for example, accidentally disclosing some information relating to her true self, or something similar), which could have cost her dearly. In the end, nothing happened and the mistakes made were all minor things, but ..... in her future streams Chloe will need to pay much more attention and better manage her emotions. Especially considering that in her own words, she carried out five test streams, before her debut.
i think when debut, either super professional like Lapus or scuff enough to memeing the fuck out of it like Chloe are considered to be the most success one xD
Flashbacks to Calli's computer blowing up during her debut
@@sorakey4005There was that one time someone scuffed their debut and it did not turn out well at all.
End result being the holofive ending up with four.
Everyone: fancy layers and overlays
Chloe: scuffed and hand written but it adds charm what you see is what you get 📈 it only goes up from here
Actually true. Iirc she kept increasing and retained a high live viewer count all the way to the end of the stream (170k +). Usually viewers would drastically decrease near the end of streams but not in her case.
Personally my favorite debut out of the holox too.
it was simply funny
Somehow it suits her. Out of the three debut who seems like the super competent, ultra geniuses in their role, we have Chloe the intern.
I wonder if they had another role planned for her before the debut but after they did 5 test streams they made her role “The Intern” so at least we can say her pon nature is part of her lore lol
I love how she squeaked out of existence at 4:14, another fine addition to the kettle gang
can't wait to see her "1st year anniversary, let's watch my debut stream together!!!" stream.
She'll try to open her debut stream and we'll hear:
[cheerful horn music]
"SANOBA WITCHI!"
Oh shoot that's almost coming up. That's going to be legendary.
She basically shotgunned the debut stream. I love it
I love that, even after all that buildup with Chloe being clumsy, it ends with La+ getting dunked on once again
It's the rules.
Simply one of the laws of the universe.
The rules were already set. It was inevitable.
I mean... despite her mistakes she pulled in 150k viewers and was #1 trending on Twitter. I say that's an absolute win.
At one point she had 176k viewers
let alone her getting into hololive!
Her Karaoke stream has also lot of PON moments and the 1st time i see someone reach almost 200k views on after debut stream. (I didnt know if she managed to get 200k viewers it was 198k when I was there)
And now she has more subscribers than the other four xD
I mean, people LOVE klutzes.
We're reaching levels of pon that shouldn't be possible
lets be honest, the viewers love seeing little mistakes here and there, especially on debut, just makes it that much more fun
its just extra spicy when they celebrate anniversary and got pushed to watch their own debut hue hue hue
Just like Irys
As someone that watches mostly HoloEN, the scuff made me feel right at home haha
@@Makco MOOD, and SAMEE~
Korone's debut is famous for its wholesomeness after all~
Chloe's stream was scuffed af but it made it all the more memorable lol!!! our PON orca
She truly is an intern lol
PON + Orca = Pornca
No wait
@@lildyo My thoughts exactly. I was like, "Oh.. now, we know why she is an intern" lmao
@@sambuddy4465 we've got a poi lion now we have a pon orca
@@sambuddy4465 Porca xD
Mane: I've counted up to 5 PON moments
Me: That's not an okay amount
Mane: I couldn't keep count after that
Me: There's more?
It doesn't sound like Mane-chan was mad, just asking for reflection. And I agree.
Don't get me wrong, the PON was absolutely adorable, charming, and memorable. But it needs a bit of moderation or people may get tired of it. More importantly there's a chance she might reveal something or dox herself by inadvertently showing things on screen. There's no harm in being more careful since it's obvious she'll always be cute and ponkotsu to some extent.
Yeah, as cute as it was, it has the potential to come off as a bit unprofessional. I just hope she didn't get anything worse than a scolding for it. She's doing her best and we love it.
@@EpicNerdsWithCameras i mean you cant really call anything any of the girls do "professional"
@@re-player5257 professional comedians
If I wasn't mistaken...IT WAS THIS GIRL who made fun of the previous three for being too nervous LMAO.
So I was waiting to see if she could back up her trash talking....and here we are. She's the most PON of them lmao
I've seen streams with a whole lot more pon, these are just cute and will make her suffer when she does a review of her debut stream.
The fans: loving it.
Management: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I didnt care at all, she was great to watch! If anything it adds to her personality
Im glad the stream was super scuffed. It adds character. Sometimes when you have a near perfect stream, its just not as memorable otherwise. I like our PON Orca just the way she is
Or rather being perfectly professional is too stiff. These make it much more relaxed
Still not even half as cursed as Korone's debut.
Korone's debut, I wouldn't call curse but more on well, she is too nervous on the first one(probably or most definitely not an act, it took her quite a while to collab with other members after all) and I can say the same with this one, it felt like the viewers like her for her true personality instead of the persona she is trying to act.
she's intern after all, its ok to make mistakes, but THANKS FOR ALL THE MISTAKES, CHLOE-CHAN IS SO CUTE!!!!!!
Honestly, I did not even know they are PON moments when I thought it was natural for Chloe to do so. This makes it a really unique personality for her and I really appreciate that XD It was seriously and honestly cute lmao. I can't even find faults in the debut. It was so mesmerizing to watch!
All her little mess-ups just made it even cuter
That's ok, it added more charm to her debut stream and to her persona. Love her.
Maybe she get a lot of mistakes, but that's why we love that part of her, It isn't her fault at all, I think that reflects the nervous she have
Chloe: Guys, I can explain.
Korone: You mean you were able to eventually get the right BGM in your debut?
Nene: You weren't screaming the whole time during your debut?
Calli: You were able to breathe properly?
Ollie: you didn't talk at lightspeed screeching and destroying viewers ears and headphones whilst speaking three languages at the same time?
Gura: ...Good job, Chloe.
It's interesting that Gen 6 is being marketed as PonX and stuff like that, because honestly I felt like this round of debuts was much more professional than the earlier ones. Same goes for HoloCouncil's debut, they were much more prepared than HoloMyth. I remember thinking the same thing about Holo5, but to a much smaller extent. I feel like the girls are getting more and more prepared as Hololive grows. They're also taking less time to become more comfortable and less awkward, which is great.
Being cute when screwing up must be some kind of fish tactic
Miko: Mio-chan what's her PON Level!?
Mio: It's.....OVER 9000!!!!! *crushes scouter
At least none of those mistakes were critical ones.
Man, picking a favorite from this gen is gonna be really hard lmao
I was rolling on the floor laughing at all these ytd. I had a good time honestly
Cant wait after 8 months or 1year she will react on her debut stream
Interns aren't going to nail it perfectly out the gate and it only further endears us to see how they'll grow going forward.
Not the most scuffed Hololive debut ever, viewership was still high and stayed high because everyone's hearts melted, and she just broke 400k subs. She'll do just fine. Management has a point though. It was, in fact, pretty scuffed.
I mean, it _was_ less scuffed than Korone’s.
Mane-chan: *scolds Chloe
Everyone: So you're the enemy
korone, ah, a new apprentice
*Chloe doing mistake
Manager : No
Viewers : YES YES YES!
I mean, those mistakes were nothing major. If anything, I'd say it only made the whole stream more endearing to watch.
Thank you for the clip and translation!
The fails only improve the moe moe making that orca adorable.
mistake makes her strong
mistake makes her cute
ALL HAIL PON QUEEN
4:14 blessed
The mask comes off and all is forgiven.
Bonus La+ being kind and aloof at the same time.
I 100% prefer a Vtuber making mistakes and learning than a full mode pro to be honest. Afterall I consider that mistakes is what actually give them so much points with the audience
Subaru: is she one of my people
In the wise words of a famous shark: "shes cute so you can't be mad at her "
she probably isnt used to the tech and software. maybe a bit new and slightly a klutz. but as everyone points out. its part of her charm and is probably the most memorable debut. i for one adore her
absotudely adorbs
"I need an adult"
Laplus: "I'm an ad----"
"YOU'RE TWO FEET TALL AND MOST OF THAT IS HORN!!!"
Marine: "Eh?"
oh mistakes everyone makes mistakes cause no one is perfect so im not suprised
I think I am going to become Chloe’s member too once she can enable memberships.
She is the most precious among holoX.
That "sorry" sounded almost native
When I was an intern I messed up alot but it adds up for improvement. We love you regardless, Chloe!
Scuffed and full of mistakes, exactly how I wanted the debuts to be.
Yamada's debut was just over the roofs. Expectations be dammed. La+ did it, and she did it in style. Only complain I had was the stream was too short and I wanted to enjoy her more at that moment.
Lui's debut had some few mistakes here and there, but was overall a very good debut.
Koyori's debut ran very smoothly, with minimal to no mistakes. If anything, she had me exhausted by the end of her stream. She talked way too fast and so much. I can barely understand what she was saying.
Now we get to Chloe... Ow Chloe, you cute orca. This is the kind of debut I wanted to see: scuffed and stuffed. Let's be honest, Chloe's debut wasn't the best, but it sure is one of the most memorable ones in the group.
Iroha... Iroha. I can't really say anything about her. Her debut was probably the most "normal" in the group, in my opinion. You can say that she balances the chaotic nature of her genmates.
Iroha is pretty Ponkotsu imo too
@@srkares actually, same here. I do understand Japanese tho, that's why it's sad kind of a let down to me that Laplus did not talk about herself more. My hype levels were at its peak at that time, so Laplus ending her stream very shortly after is kinda sad, but was still the best, imo.
Man watch Daimonji from VOMS debut. Explosion, introductions? Let's leave that for later let's play first.
Did they give them newbie managers? EN managers would be like, "It went so well!!!"
😂
Seems so. Knowing all that EN had and all the things happening on Hololive, and how much viewers Chloe got that day (175K amost, only 5K behind Koyori's one a day before), this managers are the true newbie and interns.
I mean ... did they know what a scuffed one was? or did they watch Korone's original debut? (not the 2.0 she did after her 1M subs).
EN managers have seen some shit, they wouldn't bat an eye at the scuff in this debut
@@SenseiRaisen It think we should be judging in terms of debuts. Only Gura’s come close to this
@@comradeofthebalance3147 yeah! but again look at the reception going. From terms of comparation of a truly scuffed debut, Korone's original one still one of the most. Not because of her fault, after all, her nerveousness wins her and poor Korone wasn't use to the number of people she got on that stream, even if was rapidly losing it before Okayu and Fubuki step in to help her to regain control. Even her having a lot of technicall issues.
Now day that stream its only seen as something like a funny anecdote and how Korone manage to get as one of the most viewed and subbed at the time from the JP side before Fubuki (who was the most viewd and subbed one from the JP side before Korone's debut).
I think the point its, Chloe's ones are very little compared to that, and now days those scuffs makes things more funny to remember later when they had a 1 year anniversary. Just also look at Gura, or the entire EN. Even ID too. HELL! even JP with this new ones.
I don't know who she is and I've never watched a Hololive stream in my life but she is *adorable* so I'm just gonna sub now and watch later lol
I like how they just started and we already heard a lot of manager scolding
I think Chloe's manager is looking at the sub and viewcounts now and sayind "SCREW UP MORE!!! DO SOMETHING STUPID!"
I REALLY like the sea bgm+her voice cuz it feels like ASMR
Hey, at least she didn't break her PC by hitting it the night before her debut
Tbh I think most people found those mistakes and her reactions to it very adorable. The only mistake that could actually be a problem was that countdown thing that probably was something people's weren't supposed to see yet
So she basically did stream like her clumsy senpais.
flashback Korone's debut stream
That one was way worse. I mean, Chloe's one was even better and she pull it through compared with Korone's one where Okayu and Fubuki had to help her because she was losing viewers and she was completly frozen due her nerveousness kick in.
4:14 gotta say, that hic sounded 100% like gura
Lap chan looked like a kid whos not allowed to join adult convo haha
Looking forward to looking back stream in 3 mnths or 1 yr. 😅👍🏻
Chloe wa... WARUKUNAIYONEEEEEEE!!!!
I think this was the biggest gap between expectations and the actual debut I’ve ever seen.
When that "5" showed up thunderously, i think it shows when Mane-Chan had enough with Sakamata Choe's Pon XD
Dang her Pon predict the future XD
Her reaction to her debut in the future will be all the more entertaining to look forward to.
You can't take away the clumsy orca! 😭 She's mine!
Oh no 😔
Well, she did say "Let's GO to my room!" :D
Man, if they react to their own debuts in half a year or a year...
I don't know why i am laughing at this 2:56 ahahahah 😂 this is my favorite holomem's debut so far.
5!
Thanks for the translation work! I think Chloe and her manager will look back and find only positive outcomes from those pon moments in the debut, as they help to build a cute first impression of Chloe for new visitors (because damn she cute).
Also, it can't possibly top Korone's debut for most pon mistakes, and Korone's been one of the most successful of the JP members across all generations.
They made her more likeable. It was absolutely hilarious and that’s from someone who’s Japanese is baby.
Sad orca breaks my heart...
what about "that" hashta-...
you know what, yeah those are all the PONs I can see. It makes her so cute!!!!
And she wants to overtake her senpai she said.
She's like a mix of Noel, Mel, and bit of Luna
Gah help, I suddenly have stage 5 diabetes
I can't believe I don't see more mistakes from more vtubers like this. There's so much to keep track of! Live!
Anyone else thought Pon #5 wasn't a mistake at first because the house was a mess and the windows were dark so it just seemed like there was a typhoon outside of her house? XD
It's not a mistake, it's a feature!
I really thought this will be like Korone debut that Chloe going to call a genmate to her stream for help
Like Korone calling Okayu for help lol
This is a legendary debut up there with Korone's lol
Lmao shes now my favorite of the new gen
Since Chloe is the intern, it only makes sense she makes more mistakes. It's perfectly appropriate.
Not as bad as when Hope descended so many times that I was starting to have false hope in Hope herself.
still wasn't as much of a disaster as korone's debut that was a masterpiece of a disaster.
I only find a cute everytime she made a mistake.. And it bring smile to my face.. I want more of her cute mistake!
SCUFFED 🤣
Everyone needs to remember another hololive member who made mistakes during her start.. and how she was forced to graduate. They are just worried, chloe could make a really bad mistake.
This will be remembered when she's growing
How she is able to continue despite making pon after pon is very very commendable
She did no mistakes, her mistakes make her 100 times more KAWAIII
To be really honest a debut stream with some faults would be a fun content for future, like in anniversary people would be eager to see how she reacts to her debut then.
It was a cute debut, and scuff moments are always fun to look back on, like IrYs's triple descent and Korone's...entire chaotic debut.
One of the fanbase nickname better be a pon with "PON"!
Oh the cringe she would feel looking back at this later years would be amazing.
