sorry to hear that you have been in the hospital I'm so glad you're feeling well enough to start painting again I've missed seeing all of your videos
Great to have you back. I sure I speak for many that you have been missed.
You do indeed! Welcome back Sir!
Stuart it’s so wonderful to hear and see you. You’re a precious person and I’m glad you’re better. I haven’t heard the phrase “as near as damn it” for years! Now to enjoy your video!
Please don’t worry about replying, get well. I only discovered oil paints, and you’ve changed everything about painting for me esp. being loose, having fun. Thank you so much.
I’m glad to see you back in action, Stuart. I hope your heart condition has improved. Your calling this a painting about nothing reminds me how “Seinfeld” was a show about nothing. Of course, your nothing is most definitely something quite lovely.
What a delightful surprise to see a new video from you, Professor. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Very happy to see you’re back 🫶
From Donna G: So glad to hear you’re strengthening every day. Having a husband with 3 heart attacks, a TIA, AND TRIPLE BYPASS has educated me so please tell Beth that it does get better and make sure you follow her yoga! See you on Saturday🥰
'What ever happens', has a lot of talent behind it which Mr Davies has sweeps of.
I am glad to hear and see you again and you are back with us.This painting as you cal ,,nothing"is absolutely fantastic.Thank you to sharing this ,,nothing" with us.Good health to you and we wait for the next video.GOD BLESS YOU !😊
😂 this gentleman really make people lost his fear to paint. Looks easy but believe me, is easy with him. He Makes me happy😊 in the process
Missed you Stuart 😢, you are a sight for sore eyes 😮
So glad to see you back and feeling well enough to paint again! I know what you mean about having a chronic illness…I have COPD and it can put me in the hospital once a year or so if I’m not careful. Painting is my best way of trying to forget my troubles, so again thank you Stuart for all your wonderful videos to enjoy.
Prayers and love to you, Stuart🌙🐈🎨You’re such a great person in our lives
Bonsoir Stuart, heureuse de vous voir à nouveau avec ce merveilleux tableau comme d'habitude, je ne m'en lasse pas. Prenez soin de vous et à bientôt.
I love the distance and light in this picture. It's so freeing to look at, if that makes sense. Thanks for your calming inspiration .
Well done Stuart. Must mention that the close up views at the end of this video are beautiful. Thank you.
You have become very dear friend to many of us, kind of like an old friend you think about but sadly never get to see. I am happy you are back, and wish you all the best. 😊
Always a treat - been too long! I hope you are better, thank you Stuart “Japanese Red” Davies 😉
Lovely to see you again Stuart, don't overdo things, take it easy
BEAUTIFUL as always, it's been too long since I visited you...too busy slaving away at a life sucking job. So sorry to hear of your heart troubles, sending positive thoughts your way! 💖 I have learned so much from you, my paintings are looking great! THANKYOU
Hello, Stuart,
Once again, I am saddened to hear that you had been hospitalised regarding your heart condition, but I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better and able to continue with your passion of painting and teaching others to be inspired by your process , using Tonalism.
One of the beautiful aspects of this method is that it appears to offer the artist, such as yourself, the freedom to work loosely and imaginatively. The end result is an amazing scene created from nothing. Love this tutorial ❤️ 😊
Thank you, my friend, this is wonderful! So glad you a back with us. Do take good care of yourself….❤️❤️❤️❤️
That is gorgeous.... I'm a complete addict! It's really the only way I want to paint anymore. Thanks!
WELCOME BACK AND KEEP HEALTHY!!!
Stuart your nothing for me is everything one needs to become something . Interesting! Translates inner resting. Thanks for your wisdom mate. Robert
I had aortic stenosis and had a Valve replacement and am back to my old self again. You will be too. All the best and thanks for your wonderful videos.
Hi Stuart, it has been a while since I have been able to see your videos. Covid did not help, but enough said. It was so good to see you paint 'Nothing Without Drawing'', remarkable. I thought a good name for you, and it is so 'you' - Stuart 'Why Not' Davies. Good to see you in action again. Keith Bartram
Beautiful. I live in East Sussex and your painting captures the landscape of the Downs perfectly. Also really glad you’re feeling better ❤
It's great to see you back again. Your videos are some of the most enjoyable and inspiring subjects on CZcams. Thank you.
Wow, thank you!
Nice to have you back painting Mr Intrigue, as always, enjoyed the video
Well, I love this because, looks like where I live in the bluegrass. Lots of sinkholes, limestone outcrops, several caves, a rolling country
Glad your doing better and welcome back.
Glad your well and back. Simply wonderful
Glad to see you're back and in good humor. Love your new name Stuart Intriguing Davies....who could shorten it and just call you SID😊
I think you are just lovely Stuart🥰 I would so love to come to one of your teaching schools. I am sending my best wishes for your good health 🌺🙏😘
It's great to see you back Painting. Stay well. I am sleeping a lot myself. I got sick from RSV over Christmas and EBV came back. I spent the last 3 weeks sleeping a lot.
Love your style, thank you for sharing! I always learn from you..
I agree that when I went through a dip in my health, I found that absolutely everyone I came into contact with had their own ‘something.’ (My something was breast cancer… two times.)
I watch everything you put out, I hope you are able to continue to do so.
Hi Start, nice to have you back. I hope you are feeling better by the time you read this. I noticed a new hat adornment?

I hope you are well stuart! I love your style. I use some of your loose painting techniques! Ty for teaching them. They have improved my paintings. Take care and be well!
So happy you are feeling better!
I had open heart triple bypass surgery three years ago. I know the feeling. Just take your time. I too teach painting on the internet. I came back too fast but I’m doing okay now. You will too.

Thank you for this. I love these paintings of "nothing". Glad to hear you are back home and I hope you are feeling better.
Please stay well. We all need you.
Nice one pal👍
Loooove your music!!
I love your skies. I have watched other people take the bones of a week to do photorealistic clouds and I actually find it painful to look at their images. Chacun a son goute I suppose. Yours are a joy.
Beautiful!!
I love to watch you paint nothing!!! Glad you’re feeling better!❤❤❤
I like the pig in the bathtub in the sky ❤
You are simple the best to do nothing out of something. Say No more 😍
It's great to see you back Stuart.
Love it❤
You are so welcome back, Stuart 🤗
I sincerely hope you are feeling better 🙏

❤ Buonasera maestro,
È un piacere guardarla...
🎉 Grazie
I love the simplicity and for the life of me can't get it on my work. I over complicate my pictures so frustrating. Will keep trying.
Fun fact about Steve Davis, he's a DJ of experimental electronic music and has played at Glastonbury. He Genuinely (this really sounds made up but isn't) goes by the name of DJ Thundermuscle!
But I like the word interesting! 😁
I guess intriguing is good too...
Pleasingly mogay. Mogay means “nicely relaxing into painting creativity”.
🎨🖌️
I love watching your relaxed, laid back style. Obviously you know your subjects very well, and your technique lends itself to those subjects.
What colours do you use, and any medium. Thanks
Thanks! Colours are listed in the info box.
Wish you well.
You paint nothing and make it look like something. I paint something, anything and without too much effort, make it look like nothing. 😊😮😊😮😊
Hey Stuart! I’ve been watching you for awhile and started watching even more recently with the desire to try some of your methods. I’ve been paying attention to a lot of the info you so graciously repeat for viewers questions, and I appreciate it. I happen to also be in France - in the Charente Maritime area (talk about dramatic skies!) although I’m from the US.
Anyway my question that I apologize if has been covered- is about Royal Blue! I take it the royal blue is Lefranc & Beorgious? I’m looking online for it and I’m seeing “Rex Bleu” I feel like I need to solve this problem and figure out if it’s still available.
Anyway- you are an inspiration and a generous, true talent.
