I am an Indonesian and I lived in Bali for more than 5 years, but somehow I am still attracted to the content of your videos. I love how calm and genuine both of you are, actually similar to Balinese people. In a way, you both and Bali are meant for each other, I guess other than like-minded people attract each other, a place also can attract the same energy people 😂. I was born in Jakarta and live there most of my life, but Bali is the place I always call home.
That might be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about us, thank u very much for that lovely compliment. I think the positive energy of Bali makes us better people, all the wonderful attributes of the Balinese too. Being in a space we feel is safe, open and welcoming lets us be the best versions of ourselves. And of course, i think (n hope!) Bali has that effect on all its visitors, u, me and everyone else. I'm so tired of the world being filled with unpleasant beings. I hope u can return to Bali to live one day again!
I love the fact you showed us that you embrace Bali by eating our foods too. That's a very positive gesture and we thank you for that.
ooh Balinese food is incredible who can resist? certainly not us haha. But thank u so much, we're just very grateful to be able to be here in Bali now....
Great shot with the wind on the dogs face, another wonderful one you two! ✨🌱✨📺🐕🐶🙋
Wow, fifty cents US for that loaded cone. Incredible. 💯
@@WaysideWade hullo Wade! Your life in the US is so different from life here in Indo eh? Maybe u can make it across to visit one day!
Yes, I would love to visit. I need to get over to Thailand too. Bow of Thailand Adventures & Garden said they will put me to work in the temples for food. I love food! 😁🌱🌞
Do Vitaly and you plan to visit Thailand anytime soon...? 🤔🌱
Om Suastiastu Jean! I visited Bali more than 20x since I was a young mother and now I'm 55. your videos reminded me of all those fond memories. thank you Jean
Om Swastiastu Dahlia! I'm so glad the videos evoke good memories for you, perhaps you can return to Bali one day and create more of those too. It's still the same amazing place that you visited once upon a time i'm sure. Big hugs!
Hi Jean you always provide us satisfying content wow I really love all you shared here from scenery, people's and food that looks interesting and delicious awww, now we're hungry, thanks for sharing, stay safe 🤗💯💯💯💯
u're the sweetest SL! hugs to u!

Salam Momo, terima kasih to Indonesia and its people for accommodating our stay here too, we are very appreciative!
Indonesia is paradise love, eat and pray.
When you walk to the beach from Mak Beng to the left behind the boat terminal there are also a lot of lovely stalls where you can eat and drink. The first one after the coffee stall is Warung Nyoman owned by Nila a friend of ours. After that one there is a lot to choose from.
Nice nice thanks for sharing! We go back there from time to time!
Good morning 😃
Delicious 💖 I feel happy,

Thank you for your surprise and excitement for the dishes that are full of commitment 🙏🇯🇵🤝🇸🇬 High quality editing‼ ️Of course highly rated 👍 😀

arigato u guys!
Pecel ayam, pecel lele, pecel urap , pecel malang, pecel madiun dll.. so deleciuss yummyy
ok so i'm gathering the main thing we gotta try next is pecel!
For dipping sauce you can ask for sweet soya sauce(kecap manis) it's non spicy. Or you can mix kecap manis with sambal for just a little kick.
ooh i love Kecap Manis! I've been mixing it w chiili sauce into my noodles w a bit of sesame oil - that's my homecooking noodle base haha!
I have been watching you guys for a while now. Love seeing the combination of food and destinations. I am 60 and have been going to Bali for more than 35 years. I miss it. Lovely to see all the places again.
Hi Graeme, thank you for such a kind msg! We’re happy to be able to share our current bali experiences with you online, hope u feel almost like you’re there w us in the warung lol! N come back to Bali soon! They r waiting for you!

@@JeanVoronkova Thank you, Jean, good one hahaha yeah, yeah, could be, as my wife and i have actually been eating there from time to time since the early nineties. Funny, my first time eating at Mak Beng was when i was going over to Lembongan for the first time way back in 1983. Anyway, yes, we love it, too! Thank you and Vitaly once again for your wonderful vlogs x
Great vid! Really interesting insight into the food and culture. And so beautifully presented and narrated!
hullo! thanks im really happy u felt that way we tried to make this not just about the food but also about the history n the place too. Glad u enjoyed the video!
Always happy to watch your videos, Jean. Seems like watching tv shows about tourism and culinary. You & Vitali don't hesitate to try local foods even at street food stalls. Your voice always makes this heart comfortable to hear your narration. Really miss my hometown.
street food are the best actually, we're so addicted to stuff like martabak manis haha. Thank u for such a nicely penned comment. I'm glad my voice brings you comfort n home memories. Happy Sunday with your family today, Wisnu 🤗🙏

thank u thank u! 🙏😄 i hope u hv a wonderful Sunday with your family hey!
How envy i m when i see u hope to be back asap and enjoy bali 😍😍😍
i was in mak beng once, and yeah, it's full of temptation ...... anyway, from sanur beach, u can take a ferry ride to nusa penida or nusa lembongan, two islands about 40 mins. away from mainland Bali, where the islands offer another fantastic view of hill and sea ...... and more tranquil for sure .....
Ooh yeah we’ve been meaning to head over to lembingan n penida for ages! Good ideas definitely just need to make time to go lol
spring roll on the beach always the best, you make me miss bali so much
come back to visit! lumpiang n petis sauce enak!
Omg Jean..love this Vlog. All is my favourite food in Bali..must do and always eat that when we’are in Bali..thanks for that, always missed the vibes of Bali..🙏👏👏
hi Yunianto, happy Sunday to u n your family! Glad u enjoyed this one, Mak Beng is going strong so u can drop by again in Sanur when u're next here! it was so good!
It is said that the best way to learn about a country and its culture is through its cuisine. Jean, you n Vitaly are getting well-educated on Indonesia, particularly Bali! We, your viewers, are also learning about the richness of Balinese culture. It's our expanding understanding of other cultures that help us get along with one another in a harmonious and enriching way. Everybody wins! Thanks for sharing and helping know more about Bali. BTW, would you say that last delicacy is comparable to the Indian rojak in Singapore? Safe travels to you both. 🥰🙏
hey there! nice note u left us, thanks so much! I've been to Indonesia n Bali many times before on shorter holidays but it is really on this time around, when we r settled in and living seriously here, that i am truly exploring and starting to appreciate the depths of their culture, history and their culinary traditions, and there's so much to take it! n its all very awesome. The Lumpiang is a little little bit similar to rojak just in concept. In taste the petis sauce is differet from the SG rojak sauce and there's no peanut crumbs all over which is v common in the SG rojak. The fried stuff tastes different too the tempe is absolutely rockin! its very nice! come try!
What an awesome food trip Jean.., you make me missed Sanur already. I love Mak beng food..really..
Enjoy both of you..
Happy Sunday L H!! hope u can return to Bali soon n patronise Mak Beng yourself haha the fried fish is waiting to say hello to u!
@@JeanVoronkova haha..for sure..i will manage my time to visit Bali. Happy Sunday too.. Enjoy d day..
Nice one Guys. One of the great breakfasts is at Warung Mak Beng. As soon I get back to Bali it is on my to do list again. Sanur is on the other side coast from where I stay but a breakfast at this 'special and historic" warung is worth getting up for and driving over to Sanur to have!
hi JM, lol yes that's exactly what we did, drive from somewhere else far away to Sanur jsut to have a taste of the famous Mak Beng. Not a wasted trip at all!
New sub here and have become fans of both of you. I like your videos, it looks very natural, simple, makes me feel calm when watching it :)) You guys looks so happy and enjoying life together. Welcome to Indonesia, I hope you always have a pleasant experience here ❤️
Hi Anton, thank you for this heartfelt note, I'm very touched and grateful for your kind welcome! Your country is an amazing place filled with the sweetest people - we count ourselves very lucky to be here right now. I wish you very happy and content days on your end too! filled with good food!
If you want to see sunrise is in sanur beach , if u wanna see sunset is in kuta beach..sanur is in east bali and kuta is in west bali...❤️❤️❤️ hope you enjoy bali life~~
thats a great guide for simplicity! thank u so much!
simply love you guys, always happy!
aww thanks Adam 🙏😄
If you visit mak beng again, you can try “fried fish’s egg” but you have to ask the staff the fish’s egg available or not because not always available. And actually you can order the menu a’la carte so if i go with my sister, i always order 2 rice, 2 fried fish, 1 soup and 1 fish’s egg (so we share the portion because the soup too much if i order 1 portion for each).
Another great video. Hello from Seattle!
hey there back at u in Seattle! So far away! Hope it's not too cold, n that u can find some indonesian foods over there! lol
@@JeanVoronkova the Indonesian food here is 20x the cost of what you pay.
@@dmang0 omg that's shocking!
@@dmang0 i hope that at least at that price its super enak!!
@@JeanVoronkova that's the sad part. It's very nggak enak!
Thank you, Jean.
Wow I had some bakso too - so many people telling me to eat it with sambal and kecap manis just like you did haha - need to try again. Love how you can just eat and then go right to the beach and hang out.. then eat again while still on the beach haha. I want to try the Indonesian "spice" as you mean - that slow and burn - yessss - if your husband sweats from it, count me in!
You forget the tomato sauce 😁
Bakso+Sambal+kecap manis+tomato sauce= Perfect 👍
Some people are also pour some dropped of lime juice to make it tasty
@@gadgetgasspoll2923 I will have to do this next time - thanks!
@@gadgetgasspoll2923 wow this combo sounds amazing! i must try that next time. Next time we will also try Bakso Sapi. We had Bakso Ayam this time around lol.
