    The problem with using a real stock is that, where the weapon sits in relation to the controllers is all over place. I tried to get used to Pavlov but you pick up a shotgun and shoulder the gun, your looking thru the gun rather than down the sights. It's a sloppy mess I wish we could get some standard, the Lazer that comes out of your controller should be the barrel of the gun every single time no matter what weapon

    • @WieldVR
      @WieldVR Před 3 měsíci +1

      Which is why we designed the OneStock in a way that you can orient your hands to point in the correct way in a couple seconds. This allows you to align the sights.
      You do the same thing when not having the stock in hand, just without rotating the friction joints, so it becomes quite intuitive quote quickly.

    • @coryv5679
      @coryv5679 Před 2 měsíci

      Not to mention trying to reload every time with different guns is super awkward. You have to keep remembering where the holder is every time you want to put your controller back.

      @@coryv5679 yes that is almost a bigger problem than aiming, there should be a reload button option for every game even if it's a bit slower to balance things out. Doom 3 with a stock is perfect because it has a reload button and it's no problem shooting from the hip which Completey solves the ads issue. Reloading manually is kind of a pain without a stock, different games have mags in different locations contractors being one of the worst, why can I even grab a pistol mag when I'm holding a rifle, I don't want to have to look down and fumble around for the right mag type

    • @WieldVR
      @WieldVR Před 2 měsíci

      @@coryv5679 You can just keep the lock open and slide your hand to where you grab the virtual gun. Then you don't need to remember, because it will be where you expect it to be.
      Takes less than 2 seconds and is only needed when you pick up a new gun. Makes all guns also feel much more like their real life counterparts.

    I swear, manafacturers these days have NO idea of value, costs, perceived costs, and need.
    First of all, these ARE NOT NEEDED. So thier value isn't high. This also affects thier perceived value. The other thing is, two straps and $12 worth of PVC is what people see. So perceived value is low there as well.
    The sweet spot for cost is going to be $35 with free shipping. Maybe as high as $55 with free shipping. Anything higher and your missing about 98% of your potential customer base.
    Inventors are not bussiness savvy...

    • @ItsSamuelJones
      @ItsSamuelJones  Před 3 měsíci

      That first point makes no sense. A Lamborghini isn’t needed therefore it’s cheap?? Also manufacturing isn’t the only cost involved with product design. If you have a team working on design, marketing, future investment. All of these costs need to be factored in and for a small company without a huge catalog of products and customers these definitely are very significant costs! Ultimately something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, which is why Chelsea wasted over 100m on Caseido

      @yotodine Před 3 měsíci +2

      @@ItsSamuelJones Sorry, I was trying to keep the jargon out. In economics, this product is called "inelastic". So it can be seen, just as your Lambo, a luxury item. Let's use an example that has already run its course. Vector by Anki. Also a luxury item by a new company with SIGNIFICANT investment in R&D, software, and production.
      The price was too high for most to afford, and so they choked thier community that would have kept it alive. This was evident as soon as the price went from 300 to 100 and everyone began to scoop them up! The modding community grew, also thanks to them making the software open sourced but the limited quantity kept it low still. The company failed after MANY of the same thing happening with thier products. They just priced them too high and tried to make them into "ecosystems".
      Lambos have a lot more to them then a simple luxury item. Thier worth generally increases as time passes, and so can be looked at as an investment. Not only that but they are signifiers of wealth and status. I don't think some rinky dink stock is anything to compare it to. Thier company is stretched into many areas and is already grown. To many things for your example to work.
      We can also go back and see what a starting company with proper people in charge did. Vizio is now a name brand in the electronics industry. especially with TVs. When they started, they were the cheapest in thier categories: ALWAYS. 3D TVs, Smart TVs, Large TVs. But now look, they cost just as much as the bigger companies like Sony. Why? because they grew thier name brand with superior products by keeping so low that EVERYONE could afford them to see for themselves how good thier engineering and customer service was.
      If Anki had done the same, they would have rode thier Vector robot and Overdrive products communities into building a solid foundation of loyal customers as thier base and would still be in bussiness today.
      Go to Five or Below, or the dollar store, any outlet store and see for yourself what overvaluing your product does.
      Customers have a limited amount of liquid cash and many things are competing for it. Why would they want to overspend on something they can get from Etsy for $24???
      Finally, this lesson was taught long ago by FORD, The car maker. He kept his car prices low. He kept them low enough for his own factory workers to be able to afford. And that was the key to his success.
      But hey, let's listen to the developers and NOT the bussiness people to conduct our bussiness. Let them do the companies taxes while we're at it...

      It's the AVP of Gunstocks. The modus R is probably a better buy IMO - similar style, adjusts almost as quick (But you don't have to because you have multiple grab points). Check it out.

    • @WieldVR
      @WieldVR Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@BrandoDrumVR Because ours has quick adjustment mechanisms where any adjustment does not affect other adjustments. Any gunstock with a round profile frame and rotation joints on the frame can never achieve this.
      2 separate grab points doesn't work, because the location and orientation then never matches how the virtual gun needs to be held.
      And by how it needs to be held, we mean where and in what angle your hands are to align the sights and to use the front handle as a visual reference for speed and consistency to grab the front handle more easily.
      It's bad if there is a mismatch in what the virtual gun shows you and where the grab point on the gunstock is.

    That's a good review but I find that it's an insane asking price and on top of that they say that they deliver in mid April? I honestly don't get it...
    I've been watching this company for a while for their compelling marketing material but honestly, price keep going up and availability keep going down. They don't seem that hard to manufacture, so I really don't get why they're doing that... just trust your own product and invest the money to put them on the hands of your customers and have a bunch of people to review it. Except for this video, there's only official reviews which I can't fully trust.

    • @WieldVR
      @WieldVR Před 2 měsíci

      Delivery for new orders is in mid-April because there is a months long queue of orders to assemble, package and ship out.
      Price was increased because 88% of the product was completely redesigned since December, and it now costs significantly more to manufacture than the version in this review.
      We are doing exactly what you ask, focusing on putting the products in the hands of customers, but we need to have the inventory of all the parts to do so.
      As of today we have the parts at the factory and the pre-orders have started shipping 😁

    Reloading with this is freaking terrible. Every time you adjust the size your brain has to try and remember where the controller should be placed. You constantly have to take the controller out to reload and then remember when you put it back.
