You know? It's crazy, i remember reading an article on Ozzy and he was in love with drugs, apparently he came home once and got a bowl and a wooden rolling pin and persisted to put all of his drugs into the bowl to make a concoction, using the bowl and rolling pin as a pestle and mortar.. then snorting lines of the concoction to defy Sharron. He's another Keith Richards I'm sure. Everytime you smoke a cigarette, god takes a minute from your life and donates it to Ozzy and Keith 🤣

Rival Sons did a great job, I like that the lead guitarist didn't try to emulate Tony I. Tony had a problem with his right hand with the tops of 2 middle fingers missing, and the left handed guitar strings were lighter than usual, banjo strings i believe, and slack, you would be a fool to try to copy that, so kudos to him for not pretending. I would go to their concert if they did a Sabbath Tribute show!

Rival Sons could easily pay homage to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. That singer it´s beyong words and they are probably the most talented and honest Hard Rock acts from the last 20 years.

Only they could also remind Dio that the album Heaven and Hell is memorable ... it was the second best formation with Tony / Bill and Geezer.

@@zkirina Of course, all of them should've mentioned, and the always ignored Tony Martin especially, since he's been the vocalist for about 10 years and half dozen albums. I'd like to believe that this "oversights" have something to do with commercial, rights, or management issues (or other things that belong to the dark side of the music business) rather than the musicians being ungrateful.

Nice speech by the great Bill Ward - very concise and articulate. I've never really heard him speak before. So cool to see him up there with Tony and Geezer. Missing Ozzy though - I guess his health is bad.

There will never be another band like Sabbath or a lot of their contemporaries ever again.. These guys and many of their era were literally music Gods. With legit talent that was the pinnacle of human achievement up to that time..Yes there are many really killer bands..unbelievable at that. But these guys came from a time younger music lovers cannot really comprehend. These bands only had pictures or posters and word of mouth and of course their albums for people to experience them, the mystique and the lore of the stories were epic and so different than today. Music wise I believe it was more personal and affected people deeply on a very different level, the musicianship was too...Even though there are very very good musicians today it's not close to the music experience 30 or 40 years ago.

Yeah, they're one of those bands that I like to introduce people to in person so that I can see the look on their face when Jay belts it out. And while these two get most of the recognition they've got one of the best rhythm sections out there today. Not sure how I feel about them adding the keyboards the last few years.....it''s not bad, but I think that it was to help with the live stuff.
