Long long time android user. This drives me nuts when you switch to a new phone and every notification is the same. They really changed it up this year. I usually don't have a problem finding these things. Very helpful thank you!
This is what makes me so mad. WHY?!?! Why make this so difficult? This should be a easy to find, easy to use feature.

Samsung's OneUI is absolute garbage. Even their gesture navigation is low quality. As a Oneplus user, everything that's easy to do in OxygenOS is unnecessarily difficult here, or works in a half assed way. No way to easily go back to the previous app for example -- you have to swipe the bottom edge of the phone which is inconsistent.
It's a damn shame Oneplus phones are broken right now (they randomly crash and restart during certain activities), which is the only reason I'm using this S24+ at the moment.
I hate to say this iPhone makes it very easy I'm just getting back to Samsung after 7 years stretch for iPhone

OMG this was a lifesaver. I've had Samsung Galaxy phones for years and just got my S24 and it's been driving me CRAZY that I couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to change the notification sounds in each app like I've been able to on every previous phone. I was even looking at my S23 next to my S24 trying to figure out why my S24 was different. I was searching Google Community and Reddit and couldn't find the answer anywhere.... everything just kept pointing to Settings> Apps> pick the app> choose the notification sound and I'm screaming to myself "BUT IT WONT LET ME!". Until I found your video. Of course Samsung added a new setting that they didn't tell anyone about 😡. A million thanks to you!!! 👏

Thank you!!! Some apps had the app sound option without having to check that box in Advanced Settings but I was going crazy trying to figure out how to set it for a number of other apps. This was so helpful!

Your Twitter/X makes sound? I've never been able to make Twitter/X make a sound on any phone I've ever owned when i get them 🤔 how'd you do it? I have EVERYTHING on in X and in phones settings for X. Heck i even put the loudest sound i could find on it and still no sound 😐 been like this for over 5 years

So is there not a way to have individual vibration patterns per app? I had that for some apps before and it was nice because I could tell if a notification might be important or not before I even pulled it of my pocket.

This video was much appreciated. I had such a hard time, especially being blind, with figuring out how to change the notification sound for my text messages. Jumping from a Galaxy Note 20 ultra to an s24 ultra with TalkBack accessibility has been fun but frustrating.

I currently have an S22 Ultra and the vibration is so low and so weak that I can't feel or hear it when I have my phone in the pouch on my belt.

Kudos to you Jeff! Just switched from Pixel 6 256 GB to S24 Ultra 512GB mainly because of storage shortage. I surely will miss the pure Android experience with Pixel where this setting and other stuff is straightforward on the menu.. Oh well..

I would like to customize my S24 Ultra notification to say "Email" when I get an email. I tried making a MP3 with the word Email, but it does not work when I get a new email. Is this possible.
I watch and enjoy every one of your informative videos, thank you for the in-depth instructions. I installed the "Email.mp3" in my music folder and tried that but the announcement does not come thru only a tone. Can you help?. Using tones on all the phones I have confuses me as to which tone is for what. It would be great to say "Email" when a new email arrives.
