It got overshadowed because frozen came out just before it. And frozen got all the attention
I feel like also because disneey is about magic rather than science so i feel like that throws disney fans a little off.
Disney Animation talking about developing a Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 for 💵 profits. All because of franchise 😒 I wished we had a Big Hero 6 sequel. ✨
Big Hero 6 is a successful Disney IP. I just guess, that Don Hall, the director of the movie, doesn’t have an interest in making another.
But it at least lives on in the tv show, the Baymax shorts, California Adventure and TokyoDisneyland
This was an excellent movie and it really SHOULD get a sequel!
It's plot could be about Hiro discovering that Tadashi may not have died after all and that something else happened to him during that fire tragedy.

they should 100% make a sequel to big hero 6 it is a great film.

The big hero 6 series was good. But I don't know if there will be a sequel
I thought Big Hero 6 was a modern day Disney classic, that movie was so great, but I sadly don’t think we’re gonna get a sequel, because unlike something like say Frozen or Incredibles Big Hero 6, while it did have its short period of popularity turned out to not have the cultural staying power we thought it did, nowadays it seems to live on with movies like Hercules or Dinosaur as a forgotten gem in Disney’s library, and so I don’t see them making it because sad to say it seems like the mass majority have kinda forgotten about this movie, and so as much as I’d love to see it I unfortunately think that Big Hero 6 will go on to be another forgotten gem of Disney
Hercules is forgotten like Dinosaur? That’s not at all accurate. Hercules continues to be one of Disney’s most well-known properties, with a lot of visibility in the parks and merchandise. It is also receiving a live-action adaptation.
TOY STORY 5 and FROZEN 3,4 got the nod over this one. Too bad!

I tried watching the animated series on Disney Plus but it just didn't capture that same feeling as the movie had in my opinion. I wanted to see an actual second movie.
