    Dr. Terry Harman aka "The Tabernacle Man"
    In 1981 the movie, "The Raiders of the Lost Ark" with Indiana Jones, brought about a resurgence in the interest about the whereabouts of the Ark of the Covenant. The search and the theories are numerous! What is seldom studied is what were the contents of the Ark of the Covenant. What was inside or outside the Ark. The presentation looks at what the five contents of the Ark may have been at various times throughout history. We will discuss the tablets broken by Moses as well as the restored tablets. Aaron's rod and the golden pout of manna will be discussed as well as the Torah scroll discussed in the Bible.
    Scripture References
    Listed below are references that support the theory during the time of the Exodus up through the time of the letter to the Hebrews the contents of the Ark of the Covenant may have changed. The jar of manna and Aaron’s rod were temporarily removed and then later returned to the Ark. At one point a Torah scroll was placed inside or near the Ark of the Covenant.
    Exodus 25:16 and Talmud Bava Batra 14b.
    The original set of Tablets of the Covenant placed inside the Ark of the Covenant with the broken tablets.
    “And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.” Exodus 25:16
    The broken shards of the first tablets are stored in the ark together with the whole ones.-Talmud Bava Batra 14b.
    The Bible does not reveal what happened to the broken tablets given on mount Sinai. We only
    know the second set of tablets were stored in the Ark of the Covenant. In his article, The Broken
    Tablets, Rabbi Aaron Goldscheider, references the Talmud to answer the question of the location
    of the smashed tablets.
    Whatever became of the tablets smashed by Moses? The Talmud answers: The broken tablets
    were placed in the holy Ark along with the second, intact set ; ‘luchot ve’shivrey luchot
    munachim be’aron”(Talmud Bava Batra 14b). The broken tablets were not buried, which is what
    we generally do with holy items no longer in use. They were placed in the most sacred place, in
    the Aaron Hakodesh, the holy Ark. Eventually they sat next to the second tablets, the whole set
    of the Ten Commandments. Together they remained securely protected as the nation journeyed
    through the wilderness (See “The Broken Tablets” at aish.com.)
    Deuteronomy 10:1-5
    Replacement set of the Tablets of the Covenant
    “At that time the LORD said unto me: ‘Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first and come up unto Me into the mount; and make thee an ark of wood. And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou didst break, and thou shalt put them in the ark.’ So, I made an ark of acacia-wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in my hand. And He wrote on the tables according to the first writing, the ten words, which the LORD spoke unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly; and the LORD gave them unto me. And I turned and came down from the mount and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are, as the LORD commanded me.”
    Exodus 16:33-34,
    God tells Moses to put the gold jar of manna.
    “And Moses said unto Aaron: ‘Take a jar, and put an omerful of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept throughout your generations.’ As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.”
    Numbers 17:10
    Was Aaron's staff or rod returned to the Ark of the Covenant after removed previously?
    “and the LORD said unto Moses: 'Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept there, for a token against the rebellious children; that there may be made an end of their murmurings against Me, that they die not.'”
    1 Kings 8:9
    When Solomon brought the Ark of the Covenant back to the Temple in Jerusalem, the other contents, Aaron’s rod and the jar of manna, must have been removed at some point before the Ark was brought into the temple.
    “There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel when they came out of the land of Egypt.”
    Deuteronomy 31:26
    Torah Scroll inside or placed near the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies.
    ‘Take this book of the law and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
    Hebrews 9:1-5 (KJV)
    At the time of this letter the sacrificial system is still in place. The Temple was not destroyed by the Romans. This passage indicates the Ark of the Covenant contained gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff, and the stone tablets. Is the writer of the Letter to the Hebrews speaking about the contents of the Ark of the Covenant during the time the letter is being written or is the author making a reference to certain information contained in the Torah?

    If God was able to keep the manna from spoiling from the sixth to the seventh day, my guess He is able to keep it fresh for an eternity.

    A lot of research was done for this video. As an orthodox Jew, may I share with you what Jewish religious texts say about the contents of the Ark of the Covenant?
    This is what they say:
    The ark contained the tablets with the Ten commandments. the broken pieces of the first set of tablets, a Torah scroll, A pitcher of manna and Aaron’s miraculous staff.

    The rod could of been just a bit shorter because people were shorter then. That way the rod could fit in the ark. I could not imagine something of it's important meaning left out of the ark. I think it all was placed inside the ark especially when it was moved. To keep it all together.

      Actually, people have become shorter and dumber and uglier due to sin abounding more and more … we have become pigmified due to sin. The Rod of Aaron would have been taller…and the Ark also bigger than today’s representation.

  • @asaphjohnson1496
    @asaphjohnson1496 Před 6 lety +8

    A rod and a staff were 2 different sticks with 2 different purposes. If the rod was 36'' or less, it could have been placed in the Ark. Aaron, in his role as High Priest, would no longer need the rod, but he would still need his staff.

    Knew more history than we do now some 2 thousand years later.~ just my opinion. 29:26
    Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.
    For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.
    And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
    Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
    And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
    Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God

      The Hebrew word for the English translation and the way the Ark would have been placed in the Holy of Holies suggests that the staves would be on the sides of the Ark, below that back sides of the cherubs. Most pictures of the Ark have the staves in what we might call the front and back side of the Ark. My videos take the first suggestion.

    I heard that there was a tradition that Aaron's rod was made from almond wood and was used as one of the rods to carry the ark and that it bloomed and grew when it was in the Holy of Holies and pushed the veil out about six inches into the Tabernacle not the outer court but where the shew bread was

  • @HonesE57

    Is it possible that the Jar of manna and the rod of Aaron were set before the ark meaning before the second veil in the Holy of Holy's?

  • @StuartHollingsead
    @StuartHollingsead Před 2 lety

    The best depiction I have seen of the Ark is in a book by Leslie Hardinge. Walking with Jesus in His sanctuary. It shows 6 winged angels with their wing tips just touching. One set horizontal, One set up 45 degrees and touching, the other 45 degrees down and touching, forming a hollow globe now, but long ago filled with the light of God's presence.
    This sanctuary teaching is critically important because Muslims claim to respect the old testament Jewish prophets, as well as all the writings. Yet they don't even know that God lived with Jewish humans for more than 500 years.
    If they can transition from believing that God is unknowable to a God that wants us to know Him... That would be huge.
    As far as I know, there are three things in the ark.
    The staff of Aaron, which budded, blossomed, and produced almonds.
    A bowl of manna, or some kind of container.
    And the ten commandments.

    • @TheTabernacleMan

    Can someone please tell me what is the name of the vessel that High Priest carried the blood in when he went into into the MHP to sprinkle the blood 3 times around the Ark of the covenant on the day of Atonement. What material was it made from. Thank you kindly

      Mizrak is the name of the vessel. I believe it was made of silver.

    The 2 angels on it are tuning forks... the 2 tablets are round granite speakers facing in opposite directions. The bowl of mana is a singing bowl that sits on the transducer facing up to amplify the sound coming out of the disks.... the mercy seat is the round seat that holds the speakers on their outer edge.... mana by the way is water droplets.. the bowl of mana is a bowl of water droplets..... the device had an air hole on top and there was a xylophone key called Jacobs stone that sat on top. All you had to do was sing to the xylophone key and it would hammer on the tablets and the bowl that sat in the center of the speaker facing up would blast it's sound into the xylophone key making it bounce up and down on the disks. Inside warm air would rise to the air hole and condense in the cup and start to spin and light up like a galaxy in a box. The ark is a CON job because whoever has the wireless microphone called the staff would speak into it and his voice would come out of the ark. The person who had the staff was AARon.... they were crooks who stole the arc and killed people with it and conned the kings. The ark makes water from condensation and makes it spin and split and light up like a galaxy in a box. The disks are piezoelectric.. when the xylophone key is bouncing on the disks it releases high voltage.. the spark that lights up the hydrogen that accumulates inside the box as all the oxygen goes to the bowl (positive) and all the hydrogen
    goes to the inside of the box (negative). You need the rod because the device is AC current and if you don't ground it then it will throw lightning bolts... but you cant put it on the ground because the box is like a wind chime if you put it on the ground it wont vibrate therefore wont work... it has to hang at the nodes like a wind chime.

      I engineered all the parts. It makes water and spins it like a galaxy in a box. It operates on sound and makes ac current. I can even tell you the spark gap between the bowl and the inside of the box is 2.1 cm. The disks are 34.22 cm in diameter.. the hole at the center of the disks is 4.22 cm.. 20% of the wavelength of hydrogen. The bowl is 21.1 cm high and 21.1 cm in diameter... the wavelength of hydrogen.

I have seen the tablets they are round disks and one of them is broken. they are transducers.. both microphones and speakers.. when you put them together you get feedback..... when you put a bowl or cup on a transducer it amplifies the sound.. literally pumping sound into the xylophone key that sitting on the piezoelectric disks

      Yes you quoted the scripture correctly. May I ask what you are asking or stating? If it’s the number of wings being two. Exodus does not mention the number of wings. Isaiah mentions Seraphim’s with 6 wings. Ezekiel’s vision the throne of God has cherubims with 4 wings and 4 faces.

    Does the description of the ark of the covenant say they have a shelf on the side? Cause it doesn't say inside just on the side..

    • @TheTabernacleMan
      @TheTabernacleMan  Před 8 měsíci

      The word translated into English can be translated or understood either way. The Talmud has a discussion that leads me to believe at one point there was a small shelf. However, the inside ark dimensions would be large enough for a scroll to lay on the bottom.

    • @TheTabernacleMan
      @TheTabernacleMan  Před 8 měsíci

      Here is the opposite viewpoint from another source.
      The rabbis debate the meaning of the verse in Bava Batra 14b. מִצַּד is a rare combination, but it certainly means "beside" in Jos. 3:16, Jos. 12:9, Ruth 2:14, 1 Sam. 20:25. I see no instances where it can unequivocally be asserted to mean "in," "inside," or "within." Had Moshe intended to say that it was placed "inside" the Ark, why wouldn't he have written ב or בקרב instead?
      For example, using the same verb that is found in Deut. 31:26 (a conjugation of the verb שׂוּם, meaning "to put" or "to place"), Isaiah writes (Isa. 63:11),
      ...Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within him?
      The prophet uses the prepositional phrase בְּקִרְבּוֹ (bekirbo). The context makes it clear that God puts or places His Holy Spirit inside an individual.
      Another example is Deut. 10:2 where we find, again, the same verb, but this time, Moshe uses the prepositional prefix ב.
      And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which you broke, and you shall put them in the Ark.
      Here, God commands Moshe to put the tables (which have the Ten Commandments written upon them) in the Ark, which is translated from the Hebrew phrase בָּאָרוֹן (ba'aron).
      So, the tablets are placed בָּאָרוֹן, "in the Ark." Why not write the same for the Torah scroll if indeed it was located "in the Ark"? There's simply nothing which explicitly confirms that it was indeed located in the Ark. Again, the prepositional phrase מִצַּד is never used in a context meaning "inside" or "in."

    Oh ya, hate to bug ya man...
    the bowl , if it contains a dry cotton-like or organics shrubs, this could have also combusted ,if struck by arcing sparks. So through scientific endeavors, these special individuals whom used the arc , would determine how high the voltage, from short circuit situations, which could have produced charges transferred, and arc sparks. So the more empty, the longer , the emission sparks into the bowl.. provided they began to estimate energy levels all in relation . Considering the natural physics behind the other insulating experimental materials; sapphire..etc .
    This was a monumental movement of scientific research and methods.
    It's the development that got twisted up with entitlement.

The second one only seen in one of my blogs more biblical in dimensions and have male cherubim. The one in this video is my oldest version. Goal was to keep cherubim with wings hovering above as stated in exodus. The height at 28” to reflect some Jewish teachings on size of cherubim.

    Pnece I want to see 2 Tablets with the complete text on bot sides. Best the complete text on each tablet.
    The form and size are unimportant.
    6:33 Saphire? Never heard. Of course, under Moshehs feed it was like a work of saphire. I remember.
    19:15 Hebr 9,4 The Man and the Rod where in it. So your box is probably not 1,3125 m (2,5 × 52,5 cm) wide and or your Rod is to long.
    Not everything was always in there. The rod was originaly not in it, but later in was. Same probably with the pod.
    Paulus knew it and wrote inspired by the Spirit the holy one. Why this difference between preaching and teaching?
