    The Tabernacle Man Dr Terry Harman
    Video presentation on the Tabernacle of Moses and the 5 Levitical Offerings or sacrifices. Discussion of the Hebrew word Korbon is often translated into English as "sacrifice." In English translations, the meaning of korban is missed. Korbon means, "to draw near to." The offeror is bringing a tangible representation of the heart-felt conviction of wanting to draw closer to the Lord.
    Leviticus 1 JPS 1917
    1And THE LORD called unto Moses, and spoke unto him out of the tent of meeting, saying: 2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them:
    When any man of you bringeth an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd or of the flock.
    3If his offering be a burnt-offering of the herd, he shall offer it a male without blemish; he shall bring it to the door of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD. 4And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the burnt-offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. 5And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD; and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall present the blood, and dash the blood round about against the altar that is at the door of the tent of meeting. 6And he shall flay the burnt-offering, and cut it into its pieces. 7And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay wood in order upon the fire. 8And Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, and the head, and the suet, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar; 9but its inwards and its legs shall he wash with water; and the priest shall make the whole smoke on the altar, for a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
    10And if his offering be of the flock, whether of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt-offering, he shall offer it a male without blemish. 11And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD; and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall dash its blood against the altar round about. 12And he shall cut it into its pieces; and the priest shall lay them, with its head and its suet, in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar. 13But the inwards and the legs shall he wash with water; and the priest shall offer the whole, and make it smoke upon the altar; it is a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
    14And if his offering to the LORD be a burnt-offering of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtle-doves, or of young pigeons. 15And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and pinch off its head, and make it smoke on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be drained out on the side of the altar. 16And he shall take away its crop with the feathers thereof, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes. 17And he shall rend it by the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder; and the priest shall make it smoke upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire; it is a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

    I have been studying Leviticus and was looking for more information about this sacrificial process. I am a visual learner so these videos used along with Scripture have been a tremendous help!! I will share with others who also wish to have a better understanding of this as I believe it gives a fuller understanding of what Jesus did for us at the cross!!! Thank you for the time it took to put these videos together. God bless you for sharing your time talent and treasure to teach these Biblical lessons!!!

      So in your opinion, merciful is a god who wants blood in order to forgive. What does the animal have to do with the sin of the man? The god of the Bible even set up his own son to be killed in order for him to forgive. Yet he's suppose to be able to do anything. So he could forgive without blood and death if he wanted to.

      I believe God is gracious and if we approach him insincerely or half-hearted or without a “broken heart of remorse” then we will not sense forgiveness or have peace over the matter. The Lord will continue to prompt us to be sincere about our weakness, sin, faults or whatever it was that brought us to seek his forgiveness in the first place.

    Terry I want to thank you for your dedication to teaching about these things, your love of YHVH truly stands out. I would love to hear you do a parallel study on the priestly service and sacrifices in Leviticus and numbers and the tie in to the millennium kingdom of Yeshua outlined in Ezekiel chapters 40 through 46.I take it that the offering up will serve primarily to remove ceremonial uncleanness and prevent defilement from polluting the temple because at that time we will have the glorious presence of YHVH and Yeshua will once again be dwelling with us and sin will still be around until the end when sin and death is destroyed. We know that there will be both Spiritual glorified beings from the 1st resurrection and flesh people present there, so the purifying of the flesh will still be needed to draw near, or approach our King and God. These offerings will be made of free will and would be a gift we present to show our love of God. It also will be that as YHVH Said and they shall know that I am YHVH , proving that what he said in the beginning was true and he meant what he said from the beginning, proving his word is forever and true. I sure look forward to his kingdom to come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!
    Have a blessed week and keep up the good teachings. Blake from north Texas.

      Innocence is coming into the human race & the Jewish people will be the first to come into this innocence. If Isreal as a nation back 2000 years ago would have accepted J.C./Yeshua as the Messiah, they would have come into this back then. However this will happen & humans will finally be able during the Millenium to be able to come into this & this is a reason that hasatan & his cohorts will be bound to allow this to happen in mankind in the Millenium.

    Great video explaining about burnt offerings. I'm glad Christ is now the Way to God because I think I would have a difficult time killing these animals but I understand the idea of substitionary atonement and the need for the shedding of blood. It staggers the mind to think that God Himself then later entered into human history and became our sacrificial Lamb in the Person of Christ..."Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." John 1:29. Just as I am without one plea, but that Thy blood was shed for me. God bless.

    I wish to know how the killing of innocents relieves one of sin. This is clearly a problem with all the Abrahamic religions. It is clearly central to Christianity but perhaps not so central to Judaism. I believe there may be a logic to it that I can not grasp.

    • @TheTabernacleMan
      @TheTabernacleMan  Před 6 měsíci

      It was an ancient ritual practice. Scholars believe the desire to offer a substitute (animal) was borrowed from the practices of other religions in Mesopotamia. The God of the Israelites made an accommodation for the Israelites as a way to have a tangible means of connecting with him. The meat was used to feed the priests. The animals were slaughtered in a humane manner. Much more humane than the way we grow and slaughter our meat supply today.

    • @marshalldarcy7423
      @marshalldarcy7423 Před 6 měsíci

      @@TheTabernacleMan Thank you for your response. We understand that if we take the problem literally then God is the one telling Moses what to do as you seem to imply. This is hard to accept given the number of things that God seems to be saying to Moses, like stoning to death a man who was picking up sticks on the sabbath. There is a truth to this sacrificial context, as I understand you to believe and as I believe, so clearly an ""innocents"" or ""one with with out blemish"" or a ""holy item"" is part of the sacrifice as we understand the Old Testament. You point out that the meat was eaten and of this meat was it the same as all meat or did the meat become transformed into an item given by God?

    • @TheTabernacleMan
      @TheTabernacleMan  Před 6 měsíci

      @@marshalldarcy7423 the offerings regardless of whether animal or grain was a sign or indication of the persons desire to draw closer to God (Korban). Similar to what we hope people are doing when they give to charity , synagogue or churches today. The practice was discontinued when the Temple was destroyed. Jokingly if there was a Temple today the Lord would probably require we offer our iPhones and laptops to gauge our sincerity.

    How does these sacrifices are any different than any pagan religion of the time?
    I question deeply Leviticus and cannot help but be sure it was men made because it’s similar to very same belief other had at the time. Kill to ask, kill to offer, kill to redeem.
    Also, God the almighty would never need for men to kill a lamb.
    I believe in God and deeply in His Son Christ.
    But to believe that God would be asking for animal’s blood is so ungodly and very pagan. No different than any deity and satan himself who loves animal sacrifice.

      You are of a similar thought as many Bible scholars. Maimonides the great Jewish sage states the sacrifices and offerings were an accommodation by God for the children of Israel who needed something tangible to sense they could draw closer to God.

      @@TheTabernacleMan thank you. This is the kind of answer I have been looking for and no religious person was capable of giving me instead of forcing Leviticus down as the real God’s intention.
      God doesn’t need innocent blood as form of payment for sins. God need the sinner to truly repent and correct his/her behaviours. This is how we get rid of sin. We do them and we pay for them. It’s not transferable and never been.
      How easy would it be to do wrong and top it up with a slaughter, splashing blood everywhere and claiming that now someone is truly clean.
      Animal sacrifices if anything pleases any deity against God but God the almighty himself who honestly detest any kind of violence. Specially towards innocents, animal or not. 🙏🏼

    This is really a great material. It must take a lot of time and labor. I only ask or suggest that you show a complete run through of the ceremonies before or after the Biblical instruction. I would like to see how these things might have been done. The clips you show are great. It seems you have all the props to do this. Thanks!

      Thanks for your kind comments. But I can only do so much with the time I have after working a long day at the prison.

    Are these offerings still being given in the literal sense of the word?
