Fujifilm has launched three mid-range superzoom cameras - the 46x Finepix S8500, the 42x Finepix S8300 and the 40x Finepix S8200, all based around otherwise similar specifications. The Europe-only S8500 offers a 24-1104mm equivalent range, while the North America-only S8300 has to make do with a 24-1008mm equivalent range. Meanwhile the S8200, available in all territories, gets a 24-960mm equiv zoom. All three models share a 16MP BSI-CMOS sensor and 460k dot rear screen.

just got my s8200 today.Very pleased it is a weighty quality camera.There is a lot to learn though before I get Quality shots.

I have the 8300 very Happy with it have taken over 3000 pics using all modes and hours of video most of my pics are out in the woods and other nature shots. For the price this camera is above average. The 42x zoom is beyond awsome . many great features. Including shutter speed options. b&w fine pix chrome and many other options.
At the short end, you can only get three aperture settings in manual mode: f/2.9, 3.2, and 8.4. That's right. It jumps from 3.2 all the way to 8.4. There's no way to get other settings like 3.5, 4.0, etc., unless you zoom out which is rather weird.
I'm trying to fix my Fujifilm, that accidentally got wet with seawater, it works I mean.. turns on, but at the moment that I want to take a picture the shutter doesn't work.
How can I fix this?
please do a video of the features and stuff it does..just bought it..and love it so far..but need more help on it.

does this camera do the double exposure did try but after dun some then uploading to my mac as all single pictures so can you say it does or cores not do double exp.. thanks..

I was wondering why the shutter speed and apeture is backwards on the camera? above the shutter speed it says apeture and on the apeture it says shutter speed or is mine the only one that does that?
I have the S8200,it is showing low battery when I put (GOOD new batteries in), what can my problem be?. I cleaned the terminals with Q-tip and alcohol, no help. Does anyone have any answers?.
My s8300 won't turn on :( The on/off button is damaged. It's a shame because it was a great camera

You guys need to put pictures and videos taken by the camera for examples.
I think they simply sort the lenses; the best quality pieces go to the 8500,8300 the worst to the 8200.

can somebody help me? I have this camera, and its pretty good. I have one problem. I recently bought box lights for when i film youtube videos with this camera. When I start recording, I'm very "whited out". How do I fix this? I know it has something to do with the light exposure, but I don't know how to change it for video recordings rather than pictures. please help! thanks!

It have good macro facility and the pictures get noisy at low light situations.
At least it can still record sound while zooming -_________-
I just got the S8500 and it worked for around 1 hour. Now it no longer powers on. I move to on, and the screen pops up and turns off within 1 second. I’ve changed the batteries and no luck.
Do you have the lens cap off, also is the EVF on. Having the EVF on will black out the LCD screen and make the camera appear to be off.

There is no difference among 8500, 8300, 8200 except of the zoom. The S8400W model includes wi-fi capabilities
....which is why I scrapped my Nikon and went back to Canon...I own a Canon SX40.
This guy failed to mention and probably on purpose that the motor noise captured while zooming is incredibly loud

This camera has no "RAW" setting....(Just "fine or normal" on image quality). Also the "aperture and shutter speed" settings that you highlight to change are BACKWARDS!! Calling Fuji today.
This is not dslr. And it is the best camera for beginners to learn photography
Don't buy! The zoom is nice, but you can't change any lenses out. More importantly there are several key features that are broken or don't even exist! (The most important of these issues is listed last) #1 No remote shutter #2 No live view #3 No interchangeable lenses, you're stuck with the built in one #3 Different aperatures don't shift the depth of field #4 In manual mode the camera calls aperature as shutter speed and shutter speed as aperature. And neither of the work super well. I highly recommend finding something better. Maybe a used Nikon A7 or something used from the Canon EOS Rebel series if you are on a budget. Otherwise just get something better!
