How can I take the sd card out of the camera?
bought this camera years ago for college, just dusted it off, quick youtube search - first result. Boom, exactly what I wanted!
what camera is that?
Same here (except for the college part) 😀
I have one too I lose my cord to it if it’s micro sb cord or?
Just found this old video - I have to say I have learnt more by watching this video than any other youtube source - Thank you.
Thank you for the tutorial, I hope it gets more people interested in their camera. A really good point is with digital lots of photos to get your shot is a VERY BIG valid point. I used to shoot 6 to 10 roll of 36 exposure film at airshows and kept, maybe , 5 shots. Expensive and a long time from the shot to see the print. But a couple of points that seem to be missed with any digital camera.....number one film speed....oh yes. Changing film speed on an A series Canon, mark your exposure, rewind the film...etc, on a digital camera, just dial it in. Gives you load more options not just shutter and aperture, you now have a third thing to tweek, just as important as the other two. Just easy up to 1200asa, then you get more "noise" (grain). Also the example shots regarding aperture were taken with a camera with a greater aperture range than the camera you were handling, (why did fuji not have really small apertures?). (my lenses go from f0.8 to f36 on my canon r. (My fuji is an hs30 and this is my carry around camera.) Yes I know you did it for an example, but your viewers will not get the same results, some may do, but not novices. Flash is lacking, external flash is in limited modes (Unlike my hs10.). Remote release is available for finepix via usb port. just to let you know. keep the utube channel, hope you do not consider my comments negative..I have taken some good pictures with my fuji.
Have had this camera for 6 years and never really figured out how to use it properly. This video is by far the best tutorial on any subject I've come across on Utube. I'm now a subscriber 😎
i've had this camera for 2 years, never learned a thing about it. 2 years later and i'm finally doing so. so thankful for your amazingly thorough video.
Let me ask you ! Can you make a video in this camera and pose the video when you recording?
I cannot thank you enough for posting this.
I’ve resurrected my old S8200 and really want to have photography as a hobby. I’m only half way through your video and have already learnt so much.
A true photographer inspiring budding ones.
Again, thank you 🙏
I have watched this video several different times. Tony is really good at explaining this camera. I really appreciate him making it. Thanks
A huge thank you! You answered many of my beginning questions. Can't wait to learn more.
I am SO happy you made this video. I've been afraid to use the P, S, A, M, & C buttons because I didnt understand them. Now that I do, I can go take them picture I've been dreaming of doing. Thank you Thank you Thank you..
I've had my camera for 5+ years and your video explains how to finally use my camera for different projects. Thank you!
Couldn't imagine a more helpful and understandable tutorial, all delivered with a reassuring and helpful demeanor.
This tutorial was so very useful and Tony, you did an amazing job with walking us through it step by step, that my intimidation of this camera was gone and now I am anxious to begin using it. Thank you.
Thank you for this review/ info. I have a similar camera. Tired of trying to use my phone for photos. Dug out my Fuji camera. This has been great to refresh and learn more.
It is impossible to thank you enough for this video. I will buy your books to enable me to have a chance of getting better at this art.
Got the Finepix S1 had it for 6 years now and still takes perfect shots.
I just received that camera as Christmas gift and honestly I'm excited to go from my phone to an actual camera. This video helped me a lot since I'm still starting with camera.
Thank you SO much for this tutorial. I've just inherited this camera, barely used. I'm on a budget. I never knew any of this so you've really helped me use this camera. Much appreciated
Me too I played with it for an hour and couldn't figure it out
Thank you for the excellent tutorial! This instructional tutorial helps immensely with the 'learning curve' with this particular bridge camera with all it's options. You broke it down superbly. I have the Finepix S8500 46X, and there's really nothing out there as informative as this video. Thank you Tony!
Thank you so much for this tutorial video!!! I have the S9150 that you were demonstrating on so it REALLY helped me!! I'm looking forward to purchasing your Stunning Digital Photography book.
I just found my Fuji Finepix S620Z. Thanks for posting this video AND including the index so I can find just what I want to review again later.
Sir, you are appreciated in life.
I loved its clarity and comprehensiveness.
Tony you have saved my life. I have an S4000 for years and have captured great footage with it but have always been afraid to experiment with all the camera's functions Am going on holidays shortly and I decided to change because of the lack of WiFi and Bluetooth. I started looking at camera specs and eventually decided that I would only be buying something similar so I have bought a card reader and am going to save for the right camera the market is changing rapidly had considered a Nikon D5600 but this has been discontinued and with the change to mirrorless its a minefield so I will bide my time before making my decision. Thank you for your presentation I could listen to you forever and yes a number of years later you have been an enormous help to this photographer
Thank you for doing this type of tutorial. A friend of mine just bought a Fuji camera and now I have a great video to recommend to them (Along with a copy of Stunning Digital Photography, of course)
I know this video is really for the earliest of beginners. I love that you do this Tony because I recommend your channel to all types of people that take photos. I can't help but say it feels like I'm sitting in on a 1st grade class lol. Still love it though.
What a brilliant #how to... Loved it. Watched from start to finish. Can't wait to get out and use my camera now. Thanks so much for this.
Great video, many thanks. I've just bought a pre-owned Finepix and your video has helped me to understand the camera and it's settings.
I know nothing about cameras and this video gave me a lot of useful information. I will watch it again and may even buy some of your other videos.
Even though it is an old video, it really helped me start my photography journey
one of the best I have seen on my camera!! Thank you!!
I recently bought the S9200 and need to learn how to use its features. This tutorial is very helpful. I've purchased a charger and eight AA batteries as standard batteries tend to last about a day. I always keep my lens cap attached to prevent sratches, it's kept in my rucksack, which is usually filled will lots of other metal and plastic objects. A camera strap is essential in my opinion, as the S9200 falls hard and lens first. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you so much for this extremely helpful and informative video! I was interested in.learning more about photography, and I found this "bridge" camera at a pawn shop for $120! Though it is still a point and shoot, still find the learning curve to be a bit steep. Your video to the rescue! I've solved a lot of mysteries and quite a few issue after watching it. Having purchased your ebook (SDP) I'm really looking forward to learning more. Cheers!
Hey thanks for the video! You communicate very well and pass on all the details. I know nothing about photography except taking "pictures" with the iPhone and I'm looking to buy my first real-ish camera to try on. My friend had an old NIKON D70 and I just love the pictures he used to take with it. I was not sure if this one would make pictures as good as the NIKON D70 (or at least better than the iPhone, since the sensor sizes are the same). But after watching your video, I've decided on buying it.
Wow, so glad I have found this. I haven't used my camera much in the last two years, and I never went to the hot shoe flash function, as I could not figure it out, and I've got lots of flashes for my manual Minolta SLRs, and -- this may sound silly -- but for photographing my feline friends I really need to finally learn this. I am saving this. Thank you loads. BTW, once a few years back I decided to try the video function -- never thought much about it. Nice, very nice. Was not expecting it to be as good as it is.
I have a fine pix which I have not used in a few years. Your video has helped me review using this fine camera.
Thank you for answering all of my questions. I loved the video it was very informative.
Thank you so much. I have an S9200 and have been using the automatic bit and taking basic pictures but am on holiday next week and wanted to know a bit more and take better pics. I'll need to watch this again and maybe make some notes but it's been so helpful. I'm a complete beginner and have wanted to get into this for years but never had the time until I got ill. Now it is helping give me something to do to while away the time.
Enjoy it!
So much easier than looking at the DVD that came with my camera. Very good video and easy to understand now how my camera works.
thanks for your helpful video...I have watched a few vids and read some guides but this is by far the most useful lesson I have come across and now I have a better idea of what I need to learn more about and practice...thanks again, you have demystified those non auto settings I was never sure about.
Really helpful overview and plenty of detail
Thanks!
I really love your teaching. Excellent. Opinions, not so few times.
Thank you for this video! I have a Fujifilm bridge camera with a lot of features and this video really helps out!
Fantastic video! I just bought this camera and I know absolutely nothing about photography, but I feel much better off now that I've seen this!
Thank you , great patiently explained informational , Glad I spent the money on the trip .
This was very helpful. Looking forward to getting the book!! Thanks.
This video helped me learn a lot about my new camera. Thanks!
this is the best video fujifilm.....
congratulations and thanks
Good information, easily implemented & accessible. Thank you.
Thank you for an interesting video.
I have the SL1000 and it has a flash hotshoe above and behind the pop up flash. This allows me to connect a seperate flash unit directly on top of the camera or on an off axis mount connected by an adator.
It also has a choice of file formats, jpeg, raw and jpeg + raw which is really useful.
I take this camera everywhere I go as a back up to my Pentax K5 dslr and really enjoy using it
So helpful, thank you! I'll be investing in your books for sure.
Excellent tutorial. I finally understand what all those different setting numbers mean. Many thanks.
Great video!! Super helpful, I didn't know anything 'bout photography, now I believe I can at least use the features I have in my camera!! On the way to become a photographer !
I am very impressed with this Tutorial best one I have seen , easy to understand Thank You.
Great Tips and enjoyable presentation, Sir. I have owned my S 8200 for a couple of years now and though it is not an SLR, I have obtained some unforgettable moments and love the function, reliability and ergonomics. By the way, in video mode, you do have "Stereo Sound Recording Microphones {located on top of the flash}. Thanks you for your expertise and GOD Bless !
I have not used a camera for about ten years. I knew about aperture / shutter techniques but am rather rusty :) I recently obtain one of these model of cameras. The technology / intelligence has improved a lot! It is also a lot to learn about just to use just by reading the manual ( I tried :).
I did a search on youtube for a tutorial about learning to use the camera. Your video looked worth a watch :)
A very big thank you! Well worth a watch! Just enough depth of explanation about the different modes. Excellent explanation of how all the controls interact. It has made the camera a lot more fun to use as I can get it to do what I want rather than what it wants to do :)
can we talk about it ?
Awesome tutorial! Thank you!
thankyou for an informative vid
Thank you! you helped me understand my Fuji camera much better.
If only there were more people like you in this world. Thank You. I will have to check out some of your books and audio.

I have this camera for indoor concert photography where it's relatively dark with some movement . Totally aggravated with all the settings 🤯
Great video.
Thank you so much I feel like I can really use my camera now
Thanku so much sir... Really helpful...
Very informative EXCELLENT Stuff
Awesome 👌 thank you 😊
Nice video he covered all basis
Really helpful!!
Thanks for this excellent tutorial. You are a gifted teacher! Nice setup too.
My Camera Came with a lens cap and I do use it simply because I prefer having it protected. So to solve the problem with the cap being lost I hooked it to the camera strap so when I remove the cap it is connected to the strap so it does not get lost. The case I carry simply for extra batteries one set of chargeable, one set of lithium (which I found last the longest) and to put it away for undefined storage times just to prevent dust or damage while traveling.
Great tutorial on how to use this camera. I have used it on safari in the maasai mara in Kenya, and got some awesome shots. Unfortunately action shots were blurry and low light shots were terrible but as i'm just an amateur I was probably shooting with the wrong settings!
thank you! Im trying to record close up of my crochet tutorials.. how do I turn off the auto focus cos it keeps trying to focus everytime I move my hands
Best camera ... gifted by friend
Thanks a lot, this video made me understand all of the options on my finepix S 4000. I spent one day making pictures of landscapes and i realised i managed to screw really nice shots up. With the information i got from this vid, i'm less likely to make the same (stupid) mistakes. Thanks!
