José trained with the Brasilian military for boxing. He was doing that while doing mma. Most mma fighters just go straight to boxing, which is why they fail. Same for boxers to mma.

That's what makes boxing one of the hardest Sports is you have no other tools besides your brain and your hands of course you can use your shoulders and arms the block and elbows to break their hands and angles and footwork but the end of the day all you have is your hands it's such a dangerous fight
@@vikingmindset1152 Yea that actually shines light on MMA. the Hardest sport in the world, where not only do you have to be cerebral, an MMA fighter has to master all disciplines and have to deal with flashy feints, knees, kicks, elbows, submission grappling, spinning shit. And end up being someone’s highlight reel. MMA is indeed insane, boxing though? yea throwing hands is hard if you suck at it, atleast you know punches are the only thing being thrown .

Probably one of the best displays of boxing from two MMA stars. Both landed some great shots and had good combos, but still, this just goes to show that no matter how good at pro is at MMA, pure boxing is different. Good to see the sportsmanship at the end without all the attention seeking antics.
Yup, it's just different sports. The same applies to all pro boxers trying their hand at any other discipline within mma
Definitely more arm punching but these two were probably the most technically sound mma fighters boxing.
Compare the last 10 seconds to the rest of the fight. That's the only time they were throwing heat. They weren't trying to hurt each other. More of a sparring session.

Why in the world would you not include the moment Aldo stunned Stephens with clean counters at 1:16 of round 2? Easily the most significant moment of the fight.
I just thought that based on this HL I'm okay with a draw, even a win for Stephens. But then again you can't ever score higlights :D

The standup game of MMA is the most complex and almost endlessly deep. The grappling is limited due to the space. Standup game will always be much more interesting and entertaining.

Both guys looked pretty good considering they’re not boxers. Despite being famous for a few Ko losses they both had durable chins their entire careers. Held up again.

As if blocking isn't common defence that you'll see in every boxing match ever. When you're hitting nothing but gloves and you're eating every jab thrown at you, you're getting worked. Also, these editors for whatever reason emitted the most significant moment of the fight when Aldo stunned Stephens with a clean 3-2 in round 2.
@@upupupandaway also was stunned when his legs almost gave out. Aldo just looked way more seasoned, Jeremy needs to work on his footwork and kinda had sloppy hands which made Aldo look even better. Draw is the most reasonable outcome imo neither had a fight winning moment

Aldo is really damn good at rolling his head with the shots. It's extremely hard to catch in real time, but most of the time he rolls with the shot even when it lands "clean", taking all the force out of it.

Kinda self explanatory "majority draw" there's 3 judges one scores a winner and 2 have it a draw, therefore majority draw. 2 against 1
Result is depending on whatever decision of atleast 2 out of 3 judges will be. Here 2 of 3 decided that it was a draw, then draw it is.

What a fight. That was pure entertainment. Love when Stephen's does the chicken legs and they share a laugh and smile. Looked like Aldo edged Stephen's, but a draw probably means a rematch. Can't wait.
