As salaam alaikum Sheik. I recently finished my general diploma in Islamic studies at the Islamic Online University. The university was founded by our noble brother Dr. Bilal Philips. I have been criticized by people in my family and have been called a deviant because of this and for my taking a job at a non profit Islamic organization. What should be my response to these people or should I respond at all. May Allah preserve you and bless you with abundance in this life and the next and hopefully I'll get to meet you next time you are in Nashville.

salaamu alaykum shaykh alhamdulillah i have benefitted from this video as i feel a great deal of inspiration from you. im 25 but recntly i started practicing. ever since i got into studying i have been more intrigued with islam. needless to say, by watching this video im starting to reflecto on myself, and realised i need to be working harder.

I am scarred about people envying others, Wallah when someone sees someone who is much knowledgeable than them they should look up to that person and adore him.or her for the seek of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Ala. I reverted back to Islam on March 2, 2016. I found your channel a few days ago. I have a few questions, when you have time. I want to learn Quran and Hadith. My extra time is short due to marriage, children, college, and etc. Do you have any recommendations for how I can begin to fulfill this wish. My memory is short term memory is somewhat limited due to medications as well. However, I want to learn and dont want to let these circumstances get in the way. Thank you.
Aslaamalaikum sister first pray to Allah to help you. Dr Bilal's Islamic online university do free courses in Hadith Quran tafsir arabic and much more. The basics and you can also do a degree if you want. But try to find someone to teach you the Quran you need a teacher. May Allah bless you and help you and give you success. Ameen

Salaam alaikum wa rahmatullah akhi I am a student in Misr. I study with Sheikh Ali Musa. If I want to study hadith would I have to go to uni in Saudi?

منهج السلف Waalikumu Salam. No you don’t have to go to Saudi to study hadith brother. There are muhadditheen in Egypt. There is Sheikh Abuu Is-haaq Al Heweny who is a Muhaddith and student of Sheikh Albani. There is alao Sheikh Mustafa Al Adawi who is also a Muhaddith and a student of Sheikh Muqbil Ibn Haadi Al Waadi’iiy. Those are the two major muhadditheen that I know in Egypt. They also have authored number of books. Stay in Egypt if you ate able to because there is Ilm in Egypt also. If it is easier for you to study in Saudi than Egypt, then go to Saudi. Wafeekum Baarakallah.
