I think you forgot to nation (due a lack of time ) that the author's were ash3ari and that we have to be carefull while reading their tafsir about The Names and Attributes of Allah عز وحل. نفع الله بك الاسلام والمسلمين.
Adam alm. The reality is that the so called Salafis also rely on many hadith books and sharh of hadith compiled by Ash'ari scholars such as Imam Nawawi and Ibn Hajar al 'Asqalani rahmatullah 'alaihim.

@@AbdallahEsa I don't think you understand. We don't take our aqeedah from Ibn Hajar etc. Ibn Hajar and these Imams followed the Salaf in everything else other than aqeedah and they had their evidences which they believed was strong. They was not ignorant.

He has the proper qualification and the person he expressed his opinion about also seems to be controversial in many, many ways as your article cites. Surely you can see that the expression of 'worshipping scholars' only means to 'extreme and blindly' follow a scholar, and has nothing to do with practising shirk. That itself would be an exaggeration to assassinate Mufti's character.
