Yes, Quran and Tawheed and Madaarij AsSaaliheen. I did it when I was over 50. It takes time and dedication, and memorization is a must. I lived in Cairo for 20 years and that made it easier. For me these 3 are enough.
Yes tadabur but memorization will help you in Arabic. Also remember these are the words of Allah. Allah knows your difficulty and loves you when you struggle, so the rewards are great. You will also feel happy, alert, energized and focused and optimistic.

Start right away reading a translated Quran along with learning Arabic. Use You Tube to memorize short surahs.
