    Hi. Me and the missus were a gnats eyelash away from buying a new Kuga...until I saw the facelift Tiguan in Starbucks cafe where we had popped in for a coffee and a chat before we signed up with Ford. I did a search on autotrader and found the car we pick up in a couple of days which is a white R Line AWD 150 diesel with 12,500 on the clock and 14 months old ( I seriously thought about the 2.0 petrol but there’s something about the never ending pull of a turbo Diesel engine!) I must admit to being too excited to sleep....the car looks amazing, especially in white....and I happened to stumble across your CZcams page. Just brilliant.....it’s taking the edge off my impatience.

    Hi, I have ordered a new tiguan and i have been watching a few videos but this is the best i have seen yet? Very thorough and exactly what i wanted to see. I have 2 questions. 1) Never had a car with Ad-Blue, how much does it need to fill? 2) What is the position regarding the glovebox. Is it a cooler or not? What is the dial inside the the glovebox. Keep up the great work and looking forward to more videos :)

    • @kaieshabish22
      @kaieshabish22  Před 4 lety

      Hi, thanks for the comments. With regards to Adblue it needs about 10 litres every 7000 miles, but that may differ given the time of year and your driving style but that’s what I’ve been using fairly consistently. Adblue varies in cost but I’ve been getting mine from Amazon and I’ve spent £40 in 30,000 miles, so not too bad. The car will not run without Adblue so keep on top of it. The glovebox is cooled by the aircon and has a vent in there, the dial will shut off the air flow into the glovebox. All the best with your new car 👍🏼

    Excellent. You're the the sort of sensible bloke who can tell me whether you use Auto Hold or not or do you keep your foot on the brake all the time especially on steep gradients. I've got that feature on my Manual Golf but can't see how well it would integrate into a DSG car.
    It works seamlessly in my manual Golf.

    • @kaieshabish22
      @kaieshabish22  Před 3 lety +1

      It works perfectly in the DSG. I’ve never had an issue wether facing up or down hill in the situation where you’d be held in traffic. I never keep my foot on the brake once the auto-hold has engaged, it just works! It’s like witchcraft. All the best

    Very useful and informative videos, as I'm considering a Tiguan R-Line as my next car. Couple of questions.
    1) MPG do you think that 40+ on the urban cycle is achievable? I'm considering the 190bhp or 240bhp motors though.
    2) Is lane assist standard?
    3) Do you have the Pro Navigation with the bigger screen - do you know if this adds any extra functionality or just a bigger display?
    4) Not many 2nd hand cars seem specc'd with a rear view camera or area view. Given the 20 inch wheels I'd be paranoid about clipping a wheel - do you have the cameras yourself or just rely on the graphic/audile parking sensors?
    5) Are the any options you don't have that you wish you'd ordered?
    Thanks in advance

    • @kaieshabish22
      @kaieshabish22  Před 6 lety

      Darren Earl Thanks for the support. I have a 2.0 diesel with DSG and 4motion and over the last 8000 miles Ive averaged 44mpg, the higher bhp engines are obviously not going to be as fuel efficient but I guess it’s how carefully you drive it. Lane assist is standard on SE and above in the UK.
      The Nav fitted to my car is standard for the UK spec R-line and SEL cars and other than losing the volume knob for a touch capacitive button And the larger screen I think they are the same. The standard screen is big enough and not worth the upgrade in my opinion, especially if you like the nav in the dash board info display. Rear camera is a nice option but parking sensors are enough for me.
      For me, I am happy with the standard R-line / SEL spec, however, I wouldn’t have needed much convincing to go for the powered tailgate or the climate heated windscreen.
      Hope this helps, it’s a cracking car and eight months on I’m still really chuffed with it.

    Hi, very informative vids mate thanx!.
    I made my mind about buying the Tiguan, but what do you know about the 2019 model and what are differences with the 2018 model?.
    What does the 2019 model have what the 2018 model doesn't have?.
    I couldn't see much difference apart from the display that is without knobs, and does the 2018 have automatic parking?.
    If you could fill me in that world be great!, I've been watching a lot of videos, and to be honest I've fell in love with the Tiguan 😉..cheers

      Great car. Mine went 12 months ago, loads of space, rides nice on the big wheels, still looks good, driver aids are ace and the pan roof is brilliant for rear seat passengers, you don’t notice it as much sat in the front

      @@kaieshabish22 I'm rather excited, collecting today. Part exchanging my thirsty Audi S3 saloon, will be nice to see a decent MPG on the screen instead of 15 eeek.

    US viewer here...how in the WORLD are you getting 44.9mpg?! is that a Diesel? Is that what DSG means? Would love to have that option here in the States if so...I'm currently getting around 22mpg average in my 2017 Limited version. Thanks and keep up the great work on the vids!

      Scott Rhudy Hey, hows it going? Yes, I have a 2.0 diesel with 150hp, I must say as the engine is loosening up I’m getting closer to 50mpg. DSG is the gearbox, it stands for Direkt-Schalt-Getriebe, or direct shift gearbox, and it does dent the fuel economy a little but the advantages far outweigh the slight drop in mpg. Thanks for your support bud, more vids coming when I get the chance to edit them

      You also need to bear in mind that a U.K. gallon is about 1.2 US gallons.
