    Got this car. It’s lovely. Looks great. Drives well. Great spec and I love that it doesn’t have an electric driver seat. Easier to love when me and wife drive it. My only complaint is what you mentioned. The lag in pulling away is a bloody nightmare. It drives me nuts!! Apart from that. Can’t fault the car. Great video too.

    Greetings from Australia.Very good review by the way. Looking at getting the R line 162kw petrol engine. Diesel is on the nose here unless your doing heaps of km. Keep up the good work.

    Great review. I have a 2015 vw cc and was looking to updgrade to this exact spec Tiguan.
    Your thorough review has shown me that i actually have a pretty decent car, getting in and out of the cc is becoming a pain.
    The only thing that puts me off the Tiguan is the dual clutch and the lack of ponies ..but then again I could always remap it like i did with my cc
    Thanks for the great review, very thorough

      Thanks very much! Yeah the dual clutch not my favourite but you could get the 190bhp and I'll be a bit more pokey.

    Getting one of these in a few months, going to go for the 190ps though as I feel the 148ps in all videos I have seen is a little sluggish, I love the car in white it suits it so well.

    Nice review, but just to correct you on one thing, it does have the matrix LED headlights. If you turn the car on at night you will see it do it’s start up pattern test. (I have the same car 👍🏻)

      Thanks mate. I thought I'd see an icon/ symbol that made it obvious it has adaptive headlights

    I reckon these are decent and very modern looking cars, even the pre-facelifts, especially with the 20s

    If you put the car in reverse and turn the rear wiper on it'll also spray a jet of water over the rear camera.

      Good to hear. I was surprised by the owner's long term range mpg feedback as I thought it would be higher.

    Karoq isn't competitor to tiguan... kodiaq is.

    • @car_babble
      @car_babble Před 4 měsíci +2

      Don't agree. The Kodiaq is a 7 seater. The Tiguan and Karoq are both 5 seaters.

    • @x-spot
      @x-spot Před 4 měsíci

      @@car_babble That's wrong way to compare classes of cars (number of seats). Wheelbase is only way to compare cars . Also you said that Q5 is competitor to Tiguan aswell as Karoq. So according to you, Q5 and Karoq are comparable?? No they are not (in term of classes). Sportage not also, etc. Anyway, let's agree that disagree. Sorry for bad English and all the best to all. Over&out.

    • @car_babble
      @car_babble Před 4 měsíci +1

      @@x-spot English is fine but you are incorrect as much as I also don't agree with your metric for comparing cars.
      Firstly, the Tiguan, Karoq and Kodiaq are all built on the same platform, MQB, but even simply Googling "Tiguan competitor's" or "Karoq competitors", the other comes up in the search results, but that's also not really my point or reason I make my real world comparisons.
      I just don't think when a family goes into a few showrooms that when they compare cars that they might buy, officially what platform they were designed on will in fact matter much and that they are more likely to use their eyes and therefore look at things like seating numbers and configuration as well as general size.
      On that point, the Tiguan and Karoq are much closer in size than the Kodiaq, which is more comparable to the Tiguan Allspace.
      The Audi Q5 is actually built on a different platform but is very similar in size to the Tiguan and so it gets a mention as the sister brand for a premium alternative suggestion.
      The other cars I mention I stand by as well and get compared as competitors in multiple reviews.
      Thanks all the same for taking the time to comment.
