Awesome! You’ve gotten me pretty excited to start. We have some goals to attain and this will work. I’ve always used envelopes to save, my mom taught me that when I was a little girl. People have laughed at me because I’m in my 50’s and still use envelopes. The joke is on them. Now using envelopes is a BIG thing! I feel like I’m ahead of the times. Just now it’s been perfected and there are formulas. Trying to wrap my head around the “new” process. I plan on being as successful as you are.☺️ Tfs. Enjoy the rest of your afternoon.🤗

Hi Joey 👋🏼 I’ve been saving throughout 2023 for Christmas of 2023. I haven’t posted my unstuffing video and you will see that I have some Christmas expenses for 2023 coming up. ☺️ the best part is, I think I was under budget and probably get to roll over some of it for Christmas of 2024 🥰

If I may ask, how do you decide your "cut off" amount of money per envelope (ie how do you choose when to exchange real bills versus using prop bills)?

I would love to answer your question in depth in a future video, but I did want to answer it the best I could on here…
I definitely budget out our income for the month along with our expenses (aka all of my categories/envelopes). The amounts you see me cash stuff is the amount for the week. I stop stuffing on categories that I have reached my personal goal on. Some categories will continuously be cash stuffed because we tend to pull from them more than others. But, some categories I know would eventually get to a higher dollar amount and I consider to take those funds back to the bank (aka deposit to savings) so that I don’t have so much real money at home. Ex. Car insurance we pay bi-annually, or medical is our medical deductible… etc.
