Stay warm, Steve! Back in the dat, when I used to work construction. You would have loved to have a heated vest on those cold overcast damp days. All we had back then were the flameless handwarmers.
Rick these heated vests are a huge difference between being cold and toasty warm , kinda puts you to sleep their so comfy :)
I would buy 1 in a hot minute if I could find one in my size for those cold fall days on the bike.
On my atv it's so nice . I'm sure they have your size , check out their web site.
The heated garments sure have come a long way! A lot of it is the advancements in battery technology! My wife got my heated socks and I tell ya! Those things are amazing! And the length of time I get out of those little batteries is impressive👍
Thanks for showing Steve✌
Hi Marc
I'm going to get the socks this year , my feet don't like the cold at all 😅 Cheers bud !!!
One of my boys bought the jacket for me years ago. Love it.
What I would do is wear the jacket over my t-shirt, then a larger coat over top of the jacket. Then I could run it on low and get max battery life.
Awesome , so the 4ah battery is a days worth of warmth on low as the high setting is a bit too much if your doing any physical work at all. I use it all winter out in the shop puttering around , nice and warm so the electric socks are next on my list :)
50 degrees and raining outside here in North Texas today! Good heated vest review Steve, sounds interesting.
That's about the same here. I put this on under my insulated vest and I'm good for the day 👍
Hi Steve, great review as always - you have a sensible and honest way of reviewing. This vest would be great under a winter jacket when it’s -25, price point isn’t too bad either. Smart looking vest in black with small logo - nice.
Cheers
Thanks Ed , being warm sure makes the outdoors a whole lot more enjoyable. Cheers 👍
Excellent review Steve! Milwaukee just does things the right way. This one would be perfect up here in Northern Ontario. Thanks Buddy!
Hi Doug
This would be perfect for you in the frigid north :)
I keep waiting for them to go on sale at HD but they never do! I have a few M12 batteries for my rotary tool and a 3/8" impact anyway. Be nice underneath the jacket when shoveling or using the snow blower when it's really cold out.
Bruce you would get a lot of use in -45 Edmonton weather.
Hahahaha I don’t even remember the last time we had -45c here! This winter was especially mild. Not too cold and not too much snow. Bring on global warming!
Great review 👍 Thanks 😊 that’s something I didn’t know they made and will buy one for myself, maybe even my wife. Thanks again and have a good one Steve 👍
Hi Joe , down your way I bet they go on sale for half the price we pay . Awesome for fall fishing out in the boat too.
Yep it gets cold on the water
I've been using the Milwaukee heated gear for years. They are just terrific.
I can't feel much on the lowest setting either. Pretty sure that setting exists just so they can say it runs up to six hours on one battery.
Just awesome technology. Cheers 👍
Wow i often wondered a out those cloths and and you answered lots of questions. Cheers Steve
Hi Jason
Mid winter it gets a lot of use keeping me toasty warm.
@@SteveRobReviews Yeah often wondered if they worked worth a try
I have nothing but good things to say about the vest or jacket but the hoodie is one I don't care for.
@@SteveRobReviews Not warm?
@@DIYVariety Just the hoodie I found not as warm as the vest or jacket.
It would be good for sitting in a hunting stand on cold mornings.
Alex on the coldest day your toasty warm and that's a much better day for sure.
That heated vest is very nice. I also us one and have gotten spoiled .
Hi Jim
Nothing worse than working while cold so yes these are awesome at keeping productive and staying warm.
I've had one of these vest for 6 or 7 years, been working great best thing I've bought.
I ordered a plug in for the car from Amazon so I can run it from the car. This year I bought a heated hoodie and doesn't work as good I'm not happy with it.
Ronald my friend has the hoodie too that was a lot less expensive, but after he tried mine, he said the hoodie sucks 🤣😅
good review i was wondering if they were worth the price now I might just have to get one for the colder days here in winterpeg thanks steve
Thanks , as for the price , home depot online was the best price . It's cold out your way big time compared to here so it would be a great father's day gift .
I’m a fan of the heated apparel! 👍
Just awesome technology. Cheers Dave
It had a 1.5 amp battery in the box.
Hey Steve. The fact that you had it two months for testing says a lot. Should be a decent purchase and product. Thanks for the honest review, and catch ya on the next one, Kenny
Hi Kenny
Great idea for the side-by-side as you can plug the heated vests directly into your power outlet for unlimited heat without any batteries. I have it setup for my atv with just the power cable into my 12v outlet.
@STEVE ROB REVIEWS definitely, Karen already mentioned a 12 volt heated blanket lol.
😅
@@SteveRobReviewshey Steve, wondering if you have a recommendation on what 12 v car plug you use? It seems Milwaukee no longer sells one so all the ones available are 3rd party
@evanpennock1301 Evan this is the one I bought , works great. Check the prices , this one was free shipping at the time so do some searching. That is a great review and it gives me the idea to check it out and it`s about the best time of the year to buy it and get a deal....CHEERS
Thanks Gator , shop around but I found H/Depot online only was the best price .
Whats better the vest or hoodie
Both are good , I just prefer the vest.
Do you know if you're able to use other battery banks for this? Like the ones you'd use for your cell phone? Or can you plug this directly into like a car outlet plug?
Yes absolutely as long as it's 12v . You can buy a vehicle plug in cable to a vehicle accessory port or use the same port on a battery booster pac. I bought some aftermarket 12v milwaukee batteries and so far they are working great too.
@@SteveRobReviewsoh awesome! Also it's possible I missed it in your review, but is the topper for the batteries the kind that can also charge the m12 batteries or is it ONLY a power supply for the vest?
You must remove the battery from the holder to charge the battery. The holder is just for the 12v connection .
How's she goin"? I have been looking at the heated jackets and vests and was wondering if there were a gimmick or the real deal. Now I know!! Thanks for the review Steve!! Take care!!
Hi Mike
No batteries need for you if your in the massey , just plug it in and your toasty warm 👍
O.K. this is on my Christmas List~! Dear Santa! LOL
Hi Annie
I get cold a lot easier it seems these days so the vest keeps me warm and feeling young :)
@@SteveRobReviews Ya I get cold easy out side I just hate wearing a big coat!
Treat yourself Annie, it's so light and so warm. Mothers day is coming up so send this vid to your son :)
My arms get cold.
Dan the arms should be heated on the jacket but it seems not.
Is that axis vest better than the tough shell?
Good question, I'd say the vest as the heating areas to me are much warmer as the fit is better but either one is still great.
@@SteveRobReviews is the outside of the vest durable? A coworker of mine has the tough shell and it’s pretty durable, the quilted outside of the axis made me question the durability in a work environment
@@RunninGunner04 It's definitely not durable in a heavy work environment as I always have a coat over top .
@@SteveRobReviews ok, thanks!
