Great video. I do have a question though because I am in the market for a new impact! If you try an M12 and it will not remove a chainsaw clutch, would the M18 do it? I guess I am asking about "hitting power"...
Thank you Steve. A very valid question. Yes, hands down the M18 gear will have more power.
Fingers crossed in our impact wrench video we will demonstrate this quite well. We will even use them on chainsaw clutch to test. Do you have a preference on an awkward chainsaw clutch to remove?
I removed the clutch from my 346xp last night with my m12 fuel impact driver. Made quick work of it.
@@ryanbrowne4374 The best saw Husqvarna ever made! Awesome, that’s great to hear Ryan thank youZ
I love your showed, and because of your showed. My wife got me an M18 Fuel for my Birthday. It came with red lithium xc5.0 batteries. What are your advice on purchasing chain saw, type of batteries?
Drill- Packedge in typical box, came with a tool bag (added bonus), two batteries, one charger, drill, and driver. Two words "plenty of Torque" czcams.com/users/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.
Thank you 👍🏼
Greetings from across the pond from the USA, Great Channel! and very informative start to a milwaukee m18 vs m12, I run both m12 and m18 from construction to working on farm/ heavy equipment so I have a large line of cordless tools, I used to have snapon cordless impacts and kept having issues with them always in for repair, switched to milwaukee and haven't looked back yet and for the price point I've saved alot of money and I've yet to have one go in for warranty or any issues. Patiently waiting for the husqvarna 592xp to be released in the USA from watching your videos on it.
Awesome Dan! I’m please changing brands has worked for you. We need more people to see the light haha! Glad you like our 592xp vids 👍🏼
Excited for this series, exactly what I’ve been wanting to see as I’ve been curious about switching to m12
Thank you for your support Galen 🙌🏻
Appreciate the video can't wait for more!
Hey guys new subscriber here after watching this video looking forward to the rest of the series. Your M18 impact in this video is the older gen 2 not the current gen 3. Other than that I liked the fact you used them for “standard screws” not giant lag bolts of something silly.
Thanks John 👍🏼 we just used what we had. All for the greater good 😂😂 thank you for joining us 🤩
I believe the m12 are really really awesome tools. Especially for smaller to medium tasks. Once you start to need more power of course the m18 will start to have the advantage. Like in this video, 4inch screws there’s no big difference. I believe you’ll start to notice a difference over 8inch. Great video btw!!!
It's perfect for me as a hvac tech
I am glad I found this video it helped me choose which one to choose
Great video. I have always had this question about which is better. Kudos guys great information!
Thank you Dustin 💪🏼
Unreal about time someone starts to do a good comparison of Milwaukee tools love it
Thanks Brodie, which tools would you like to see compared?
All my tools are m18 but just picked up some m12 , love having this as a compact option
Awesome Alexander 🤩
Enjoy your videos guys! Love your energy. Made me laugh watching a tool video, who would of thought.
I’m glad it made you laugh, we’re here all week 😎

@@DicksSmallEngines thank you Sir. Fingers crossed for giving away it keeps going from strength to strength 👍🏼
Great video. I go for the M12 personally for most things.
Nice one Addison 👍🏼
Nice vid, was looking for some quick and easy comparison.
We try to be quick and easy 👍🏼 thank you Ingmar 🙌🏻
Interesting demonstration 👍
Well done Sam 👏
It seem to work ok hey! Thank you Jason 😎
Great test guys 👍🏾 I'm contemplating the transition to Milwaukee tools but can't decide on M12 or M18 🤷🏾♂️
Get both hahahaha 🤩
It's time for me to start a Milwaukee collection! Damn in jealous of your collection :D
Hey love the product just got my first M12 set and I would love to follow the journey
The M12 system is really impressive. Since I got my M12 Fuel Installation driver I rarely have my M18 gear out.
We are finding the same, only use the M18 for the real heavy stuff.
Edit: was confused what he meant by installation driver
@@rolls_8798 I believe Mike calls an impact driver an installation driver 👍🏼 I think Australians call them this? 🤩
@@MachineryNation Thanks for the reply, I'm Australian and I've never heard this, but then again, I'm not really in the construction industry.
@@rolls_8798 I maybe wrong then hahaha

Well done Sam, looking forward to the next video. I use Milwaukee tools everyday 👍
Thank you Tony 🙌🏻
The difference are the size and the price... For performance just different few second, it doesn't matter... I love the small and compact codrleaa powertools so I still use M12.. Thank you for sharing the test anyway 👌🏼😁
Hey guys, just ran across your channel and really like all the Milwaukee vids. Please do more so i can have a chance to win something lol. Just joking I enjoy the vids and like seeing Milwaukee tools and info I wasn't aware of.
Hi Tracy, we have filmed another today which will hopefully be going out before the end of the week 🥳 thank you for your support 🤩
Another awesome Hayes video, thanks guys..... and yes I'm a firm believer size doesn't matter contrary to Ms Lisa's opinion!!
Congrats Sam Church, thats some cool stuff you won.
That’s why I used the M18 as always trying to compensate 🥳 thank you John!
🤣👍🏼🤣 anytime sir
Did he really say "Hard nuts"?
In a Hayes video anything might get said, that’s what I love them so much for Bill. 🤣🤣🤣
@@billshedd55 I say a lot of things that usually come out very wrong 🤦🏻♂️
Good stuff, thanks guys!
Cheers Buddy 👍🏼

Love your ATV videos.

Great video lads
Thank you Oliver 🙌🏻
Blooming, great lads
Thank you so much for
Your support Robert 🤩
I recently started my Milwaukee tool collection the M12 hammer drill and impact driver of course the obvious starting points I've recently added the M12 stubby 3/8" impact wrench to my collection. Great tools, after watching your video I'm not seeing much of a advantage in the M18 over the M12 a little here and there but it's very close.
We have just put up then 3/8 study vs M18 video! It’s good, very good. Thank you 🤩
im in two minds what to buy - the m18 appears to have a larger range of tools compared to the m12 stuff?
I love Milwaukee so I always watch your videos
Very interesting video
Love your videos and Milwaukee
Thank you Rusty 🤩
Wow I just got m18 stuff now I really want m12
Check out our website Sam, still time for Christmas delivery 😉 congrats on your win! 🎁
I use both platforms, both have there advantages
5:34 "Its never taken me so long to finish." 😄
True story 😂
Great vid
great video
I rock both m18 and m12 but I love my m18 drills and circular saws way more then my m12s
Good to know, drill vid is coming 💪🏼
Love my M18 tools but this has me thinking about some M12
Awesome Todd!
Great video. What’s the price difference between the M12 & the M18?
Hi Nigel, check out our website www.hayesmachinery.co.uk
Hi Guys Nice Video Thanks
Cheers Darren 🤩
Looks good
Great video guys all there tools a winners 🏆
Thank you Nev 😇
Well done another great video
Cheers Danny, we appreciate it 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation no problem
Wow you really went through all the m12, m18, surge, non-surge permutations. someone's gonna have to make a matrix for this or something
Yeah it confused us too 😂
“It’s never taking me so long to finish” 😂😂💀💀
Glad someone has a sense of humour 😂😂
I am in the m12 like. Love it.
interesting comparison! M12 is not that much inferior to m18! great video
Yes Vitalii 🙌🏻
I bought M12 tools for working in collision repair. They make my 20v DeWalt tools look bad. Not only do they work brilliantly, but the M12 tools with the compact batteries fit in all sorts of places.
Thank you Karl, really great to hear the different places where different people use them 🤩
@@MachineryNation no problem! Really enjoying the channel so far!
Same here
So the M12 has enough power for the automotive industry? I've been thinking of getting the drill impact combo but don't know to go with M12 or M18
@@starkillaog8118 I haven't had any issues. I work in collision repair so I deal with stuff like crankshaft bolts. I've yet to come across anything I couldn't take off with my M12 3/8" stubby impact.
Great video. I prefer the compact M-12 unit. It is more compact, and it is lightweight.
you need to test the gen 3 m18 impact driver. it’s in a league of its own. an m12 or the m18 surge doesn’t even come close to speed and power.
Yes, we do you’re right 🙌🏻
Great video.
Thank you Joe 🙌🏻
good comparison test
Thank you Russell 😇
@@MachineryNation your welcome
Well done Sam
Cheers Edward 💪🏼
M12 seems great for finish installation of cabinetry hardware
It’s bob on for that job John 👍🏼
Nobody is talking about how m12 tools definitely operate louder.
Think about it like the motor in cars.
Smaller 4 cylinder Honda engines are louder high pitched whining noises. while a larger V8 are lower pitched growling noises.
Nice
Where can I find that hat? I can’t find anywhere that isn’t selling a used red Milwaukee cap.
A used hat? Why would you want a used hat? 😂
Thus answered my question about the M, thanks M12v 😮
Good video gents
I need Milwaukee in my life!!!
Awesome
Thank you Zac 👍🏼
Crazy how close they r
I know right! Who would have fought 😎
cool show
Thank you for Subscribing Sam 🤩
New sub here.
Love my m12 sds drill.
The clue is in your user name haha. The m12 SDS is very popular with ‘sparkys’ 👍🏼
Thank you for the give aways!! I am now eligible.
nice comparossan video
Cheers Tractor Guy 💪🏼
Pretty cool doing a head to head like this, think first time ever seeing, ain’t that cool👍🏻
Thanks Aepek. Plenty more to come 👍🏼
Niiice! 👍
Good video
Thank you Ollie 👍🏼
So many red tools James, would they clash with my yellow ones lol
They would go very well with your yellow ones Martin! In fact the more red ones you get the less you see or use your yellow ones 🤷🏼♂️😉 true story haha
I love M12! I'll pick it over M18 because I can use it more in most cases.
Yes 🙌🏻
You were indicating surge/non surge with the m18. Did u mean fuel? I thought m12 had the surge model and m18 has the fuel model.
All the tools in this video are Fuel but one of each of the Surge 👍🏼
The m12 is exceptional in tight spaces
