I was a small child, still I remember those days when Pr Shibu and parents were in Anchal. His father Pr T.C. Thomas had all the pastoral care qualities. If i am not wrong, Shibuchan came first in speech as well as in essay writing competition state level in 1986(?).

We cannot Generalize these financial and materialistic aspects.
Sometimes it does happen.
Sometimes it won't be there.
Greatly Encouraged by this blessed family's testimony.
But one thing that disappointed me is the pastor's inclusive explanation regarding prosperity theology. He said it to be elementary. But nowhere in NT do we see it as elementary.
I do not say that God will not heal and give some financial breakthrough but what I say is that these things are not at all part of the True Gospel.
Jesus and Apostles did not call people with such material and financial promises. Many a times Jesus and Apostles Gospel presentation offended and brought them persecution.
In the first century when people came to faith they had to pay a huge price. The Gospel was not at all seeker friendly and did not promise any material and financial matters.

Correct. Jesus Christ and His Apostles never gave importance to the material things. Nowadays, prosperity preachers misinterpret Jesus' and His Apostles' teachings so as to accommodate their selfish interests. For example, Jesus said, "seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness., and all these things shall be added unto you." But unfortunately, it is quite common practice that most preachers take out the word "these" from this verse and preach "all things". What Jesus meant by "all these thing's" is food to eat and cloth to wear. Apostle Paul also mention about it in Timothy. ഈ വചനം ആരോട് ചോദിച്ചാലും ഭൂരിഭാഗം ആളുകളും പറയുന്നത് സകലവും കിട്ടും എന്നാണ്. എല്ലാവരും അങ്ങനെയാണ് ധരിച്ചുവച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രസംഗവും അങ്ങനെയാണ്. എന്നാൽ യേശു പറഞ്ഞത് ഇതൊക്കെയും കിട്ടും എന്നാണ് അതായത് ഉണ്ണാനും ഉടുക്കാനും. സാത്താൻറെ തന്ത്രമാണ് വചനത്തോട് കൂട്ടുകയും കുറയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക എന്നുള്ളത് യേശുവിനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ച സമയത്തും ദൈവവചനം അടർത്തിമാറ്റി കൊണ്ടാണ് സാത്താൻ വരുന്നത്. ഈ തന്ത്രം തന്നെയാണ് ഇന്നും സാത്താൻ പ്രയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ദൈവ വചനവുമായി കോംപ്രമൈസ് ചെയ്യുന്നവർക്ക് യേശുവിനോട് സാത്താൻ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഇന്നും സാത്താൻ കൊടുത്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ഈ ദൈവ ദാസനെ ദൈവം അതിൽനിന്ന് പിന്തിരിപ്പിച്ചതിനായി സ്തോത്രം. ദൈവത്തിന് കുറച്ചുപേരെ ഭൗതികമായി അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും കുറച്ചു പേർക്ക് ഭൗതികമായി ഞെരുക്കവും കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഡബിൾ സ്റ്റാൻഡേർഡ് ഇല്ല. ആദിമ നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ അപ്പോസ്തോലന്മാർക്കു ആർക്കും കൊടുക്കാത്ത ഒരു ഭൗതിക സമൃദ്ധി ഇപ്പോഴുള്ള അപ്പസ്തോലന്മാർക്ക് മാത്രം മുഖപക്ഷമില്ലാത്ത ദൈവം കൊടുക്കുമോ? ദൈവവചനം അനുശാസിക്കുന്ന ഒരേ ഒരു പാറ്റേൺ ആണ് ഇന്നും ദൈവ സഭയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടത്. അപ്പോൾ മാത്രമേ ദൈവസാന്നിധ്യം ദൈവസഭയിൽ ഉണ്ടാവുകയുള്ളൂ. തന്നെത്താൻ ത്യജിച്ച് അവനവൻറെ ക്രൂശ് എടുത്ത് കൊണ്ട് യേശുവിനെ അനുഗമിക്കുക എന്നുള്ളതാണ് യഥാർത്ഥ ശിഷ്യൻ ആകാനുള്ള ഒരുവൻറെ യോഗ്യത. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഈ വഴി വളരെ ഇടുക്കവും ഞെരുക്കവും ഉള്ളത്. ഇത് കണ്ടെത്തുന്നവർ ചുരുക്കം ആണ് എന്ന് കർത്താവ് പറഞ്ഞത്
