Learning how to maintain my boyfriend's beard so I can give him self care days and boost his confidence. Thank you alot.
Sure thing! Glad I could help 😎
You're an absolute star. More boys need this kinda support.
@@nxxynx5039 You mean men.
@@CASTRO45ACP I mean't boys as in the informal term typical used to refer to groups of males regardless of age. E.g. "the boys in blue" to refer to policemen.
Of course I meant it to apply to all men, boys, lads, legends, bros, guys whathaveyou
MVP!
I’ve been cutting my own hair for decades now but have never actually learned to use a straight edge. Ordered one and was embarrassed when I didn’t know wtf to do. I didn’t even know how to get the razor in. Lmao. So I came to CZcams. Thanks for this tutorial. It was super helpful.
😂me either bro almost 40 cutting my hair since I was 14
This was a good video. Straight Blade is the way to go. I was afraid at first. I guess now, I'm living on the edge....
Nigga if you do that expect razor bumps and ingrown hair black men shouldn't use a straight razor at all
@@FirstNation1492 why is that??? I'm about to do my own str8 razor seem like the easiest and most effective
L.D Baywood nigga ever heard of bump b gone aftershave lol
@@FirstNation1492 Out of curiosity, why is it a racial thing? Why are you saying that white men should use a straight razor
@@WildfireX hes not saying it like that. Its because black men beards are much thicker and coarser then white men. Calm down dude.
Just started using the straight edge razor from your videos. It definitely does make a difference. Thanks.
Genius! With zero experience I bought most of the items you suggested. Tried for the first time today and I've never had a so-perfectly-defined shape. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. I used to use a Mach 3 for most of the face/neck then a 2nd razor (Sensor) to hit the small areas under the nose and up the cheek. You didn't just save me time/money but I have never had the perfect lines until now. Thank you!
by far the best tutorial on the tube! The curve is the hardest part now I understand how to do it. I and definitely subscribing thanks!!!
Damn brov! I just subbed to you then typed in straight edge razor on the internet and find out you is the man. Good work
Great job sir! Very thorough and informative!
Very informative and simple. Thanks for the tutorial!!
clear and spot on in details. great vid bro. keep it up!👍👌
Great lesson. I have wanted to try this but was hesitant, thanks you.
This is extremely helpful! Thanks man!
May 2020 and this video is still sharp and useful. Thanks.
Thanks Nate, soooooo helpful, you got another subscriber
Great video! I have seen you do this a few times and like it each time. I have been using my andis trimmers to line my beard. I need to add the shavette to my kit so I can get experience with using a straight edge razor. Thanks for all the info you continue to bring.👊👍
Thanks for the love! The andis are great but the shavette really takes the beard to another level 👌🏽
I appreciate this video. I’m a upcoming barber and I haven’t really utilized my straight razor yet but now it’s time to do so.
Thank you for this bro, very well organized
Neat technique, you got the knack man. Cheers.👍
On point . Good teacher ! Very clear on using razor
Thank you for this video. Very helpful!
Ive been using a safety razor for my beard touch ups and its done well, but i want to step up a bit with this tool. Nice tutorial
Thank you for the video nathan!
Just starting, and the video has been helpful
Love Your Videos Man, Keep Them Coming Bro, God Bless
You are a pro, my man. Thanks for the great video
Very good video. Very helpful. Spot on advice
Thanks big dawg. I’m about to order my razor today
This video was really helpful. Also wanted to say that you have a killer beard bro. Bearded brothers💪🏼
the pointer finger tip is essential, (using the poonter finger ontop of the blade to shave it as opposed to your wrist) watched so many videos and you were the first to mention it
That is a glorious beard Sir. I went with a straight razor a few years ago and I'll never go back.
Great video bro! This was a very helpful video. wow
actually learned a lot here. awesome
Thank you sir. Very good information 👊🏾
dope video bro. Thanks for this
Gracias compadre, I actually enjoyed your clip, I think you deserve a lot of attention. There you have my "Like"
Very helpful, thank you!
I use a eyeliner pencil to draw a line and trace it with a razor
Well dang that’s not a bad idea!
I came on CZcams this morning for this specific comment. Thank you so much!!!
I do the same but use baby powder instead. Just draw the line with a trimmer edge
Great video! Good common sense advise on technique I was looking for. You've got another subscriber Nate!
Thank you for this!
Great video thank u for your time
Good vid man! thanks for the info. I shaved with a straight razor for the first time today and i did okay.. I was really struggling with the rounded part of my beard, so your tips on using the top edge of the blade should help for the next time. Love me some witch hazel too man. Have you ever tired using cotton rounds to wipe the witch hazel off? it works really well and gets all the dirt and grime off of there while drying your face. a little squirt on a cotton round does the trick. Anyway, thanks again.
This video helped me a lot thank bro!
Good explication. Merci
just wat i was looking for top man ✌
You have the beard of the gods 🔥🤙🏻
detailed info great video thank you!!!
great video man thanks
Really good video, i subscribed!!
Hey Nate, thanks for the Super Helpful tutorial on how to use the straight razor, it was Very Informative and easy to understand and follow. Tonight will be my first attempt at it so wish me the best. Question: do you recommend or suggested using a shave cream or do you solely rely on the solution you used in the beginning? p.s. are you out of Diego because you look familiar? Thanks Nate
Nice work!! Great video👍🏾👍🏾👊🏾
Good looks! Preciate the love ✊🏽
Looks good homie. The lines definitely looks sharper.
Thanks my guy ✊🏽 #laserline
That Scotch Porter is the ish!!
Wicked beard brother! My first "shavette" is tracking "out for delivery," but since I shave clean my head and beard alike, I wish I ordered some Snickers bars too, because it looks like I won't be going anywhere for a while. Thanks for the instructions!
Great video, thnx man
Thank you it helped a lot
epic bro. this video was super helpful and badass! good looking out!
🙌🏼 Preciate the love!
Best intro ever!
Nice video fam!!! Very informative thnx!!
Great video
Very helpful. Thank you.
Cheers for this brother. As a fellow long bearded man I can get slack and just leave it to advance across my cheeks till I go to the barber...
Having purchased a few new tools I am looking forward to taking matters back into my own hands. I don't expect to cut myself but worst case scenario they are still making blood!
Thanks again and much love from NZ.
Great video, bro. How you like the quality of the Parker shavette in this video? Thinking about getting it but seeing reviews saying the quality isn't so good. Is this your go to shavette?
Always had a fear of lining myself up with a blade. That thought of slicing half of my chin off...lol. My barber fucked up my line up BAD...to the point I'm determined to learn this myself. I appreciate this video fam. Keep up the good work.
Yeah, like a boss! 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 Nicely done, brah. 👌🏻
Great video helped a lot...
Great video thanks for share
Thanks for the video bro i def just coped some oil i just cut my face all up it was 1st time though
You'll get better with practice 👌🏽
Man that beard is dope my guy
I can’t grow my beard because of my job, but I still gotta show support bro. That shave secret reminds me of a product called liquid razor. I can’t even put a razor to my face, but I appreciate the clean look and feel you get from the razor with a line up versus clippers or electric shavers. Perhaps you used something in the past that got you a close shave without a razor? Currently using my andis outliners. Adjusted them for a closer cut. Any plans for a 2018/2019 updated list for clippers to use? So far I still rock with the color pros you suggested awhile back.
Get that money 💰 Thanks for the support!! The closest shave I've gotten without a razor was using the detailer trimmers. I still use the color pros but only to trim my beard.
I really appreciate this vid bruh, been using regular razor blades for years. But I've really had the desire to step it up and try a straight razor, for me time isn't an issue all I need is a few hours, some smooth jazz and I'm good. However I was looking at some vids that swear by the EZ blade shaving kit but then I've seen your vid about the this kind of razor. Is this the one to use for beginners or would you also recommend the EZ blade?
Thanks for the tips, been shaving my head since 1999. Using the Andis T outline trimmer shaver. Been interested in using a straight razor but hesitant because of the sharpness. I inherited my Dads straight razor over 15 years ago and would like to use it at least once in his honor. Thanks again for the tips.
No problem! That's pretty cool you inherited his old razor. You HAVE to use it 💪🏽
Great video appreciate it
I love your videos 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Great Video. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you 😎
Bro you showed me something I just tried it nice
Hey, awesome, thank you man! What you think of Beard Growth product? Is it worth it?
Thank you, sir!
Thanks for the video man I appreciate it
Been using a safety razor for a long time, can never get that “barbershop” lineup I just ordered my first straight razor lol
I'm new to the beard gang and I haven't used a straight razor in over a decade. I was in the army so you know having facial hair was not allowed and if a soldier did have facial hair it could only be so long without a lineup. Anyway bro I'm looking pretty decent but having that straight razor touch would put me on top. Thanks for the very informative video and keep up the good work.
What part of daygo u from and how do you keep the cheek hairs low
Your beard color is so pretty!:)
Great video bro.
Thanks!
Bro I’m tryna teach myself to Celine myself up. Lol but idk I have no type of dexterity. I always try to do it even if I mess up. But I just bought a straight blade and I think ima give it a try tmm. Idk man. But good stuff 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hey brotha, how can I get into testing products for companies pertaining to shaving? Any advice would be a huge help. Thanks fam
Great video....awesome beard my man
What can you advise for beard growth?
Which do you like the shavette or de razor for shaving face or head
Very informative,, shot out from Houston 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I a problem, I have a gray hair beer and I try a lot of grey hair cover but am allergy. Do you have any advice? Please?
Glad to see you embraced the bald head🙌🏽
My loves beard is do course and he uses scotch porter. Do you have any suggestions? I do straighten it sometimes to trim the uneven straggly hairs lol
i know this was a long time ago, but thank you so much. Made a huge difference and so much easier to hit that angle as it startsnto round out near the side burns.
Glad the tips were able to help you. Appreciate the feedback as well 💪🏼
@@NateMatthews You got it! I just got into using a straight razor and this really made things simple. I look forward to honing the craft. Learning how to fade the beard out too and loving it. Definitely becoming a ritual.
New to your videos, new to shaving my beard myself. My problem would be idk how much to trim off my beard when it gets a little too scruffy. I also have to add that my sight in my left eye isn't that great so I'm not able to shave on one side.
Is this for beginners meaning for those who have never used a straight edge? I've never used a straight edge razor before however I'm curious.
So rare to see a beard cheekline that far up. Tha ks for the vid beard brother
When you were edging your beard, it looked like you weren't even touching the actual line. Is that because you are shaving away almost "microscopic" hairs right at the line?
Good Job and presentation..✌️☕🚬🇵🇷
Great video bro
Preciate the love ✊🏼
I so need me a straight edge razor. For 15years now Ive been working with just the bare blade in my hand.
Im bald and I use clippers on my head. A lot of times I get razor burns bad. My skin gets really dark. Do you have any suggestions or products that I can use.
