The alternate scene of Harry’s redemption is so much better. He sees a broken photograph of him, Peter, and MJ and it snaps him out of it. There’s no butler to come along to reveal the truth to him, because he already knew the truth- he was just suppressing it because of his loyalty to his father. But when he sees the picture, and realizes MJ is in trouble he forgives Peter on his own accord and decides to help. So much simpler and more powerful.
I feel like it would be better... But still not good. The turn would be too easy like Martha!!
I swear I was thinkin they should've watched Spiderman 3 director's cut
I still stand by: even though this movie is bad, it respected the Venom origin storyline more than either actual Venom movie (sans Spidey)
I still don’t get how they whiffed Venoms origin AGAIN when doing the stupid solo film Avi Arad was hell bent on making! Venoms origins are inexorably tied to Peter and Spider-Man. Separating them is ridiculous!
@@langleymneely amen it’s not really Venom if it’s not directly tied to Spidey
You're Goddamn Right
I want Johnny Ace to be shirtless Venom
YES
Stop. We can't make Johnny Ace more powerful than he already is.
Milk mommy as shirtless carnage?
I’ve only just noticed, in this third episode, that Carboni’s background is Peter’s apartment from Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends. Classic
Holy shit that brought up so many memories
Oh good to know, I’ve noticed it was that background since the first rewatch but didn’t know where it was from. Thanks!
Is it really? interesting!
Need carboni as a permanent KF member. Bring in James and Elise too. (let a man dream)
Wait that guy on the top left wasn’t Andy?
@@moonknightj5797 LOL
Yea I'ma pass on that.
@@EpicFurious thanks for letting me know man, ill take u into consideration next time i leave a comment.
Each to their own, but Carboni's voice is like nails on a chalkboard for me
The dude in the top left is the undisputed goat of these videos
his podcast We Have Concerns is a fascinating science show. I don't understand how two people can be that "on" and excitable. Carboni is great.
We need Anthony and Blessing's rankings
Edit: Thank you Bless lol
Man this and the Mario Party CEO finale have been my most anticipated pieces of content. Can't wait to see this during work 🤣. Thanks for all ya do KF Crew 💙
I honestly forgot how funny Anthony is lol Him and bless should host a Games Daily one day
Lol blessings "ohhhh" is such a genuine reaction.
I always remember the "How's the pie" scene being spread and memed when the movie first released.
The weird thing about the fascination with having Peter as a teenager is that like 90% of Spider-Man comics have him as an adult. He graduated high school pretty early on. The Ultimate books have more teen Peter than probably anywhere else.
It's one of those casual perception things, it's why Peter isn't allowed to be happy and have friends in the films despite having a huge supporting cast in the comics and not always struggling.
Lmao Kevin's eyeballs while he is talking reminded me of Wilson from Home Improvement
Been looking forward to this one 🤌🏽
Re-watch the disappearing scene again. The extra sitting behind James Franco turns around like Franco just ducked down real quick.
How have they STILL not discovered or talked about who the actor playing Bernard the butler is and why he’s so bad at acting?!? This is their second IN REVIEW of this film! Bernard is played by the father of late & brilliant actor BILL PAXTON (RIP). Raimi was good friends with the PAXTONS and cast JOHN PAXTON as the tiny role of Bernard in the first Spider-Man film. By the 3rd film he was losing concentration as he aged and his acting deteriorated accordingly. He died 4 years after this film, his last role was in Raimi’s Oz film. He’s terrible but after your second watch of this I am shocked NO ONE discovered this piece of trivia considering how confused everyone is about him and his performance?! lol
Are you kidding me with that intro?! That’s incredible.
It would be kinda hilarious if the marketing and posters for no way home pull a jerry O’Connell/kangaroo jack thing where the old cameos are a 5min dream sequence or something
Before watching: wow I can’t believe they’re gonna talk about this movie for 3 hours!
*First 10 minutes are about Ray J*
A new podcast within a podcast perhaps!
The Peter playing the piano could be explained by aunt may “teaching piano again” at the bank in the last movie. He learned in the past when he was young from aunt may.
"They don't usually cast people in musicals that can't sing."
Somebody should've told Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Lmao!!! 🤣 GOT ‘EM!
I love this and all of you. Thank you so much! I’m marathoning the whole rewatch!
You can tell Bless liked this movie way more than the rest of them, he didn't really want to jump in on crapping on it. I don't think I've ever even seen this movie.
It's obvious that Nick doesn't book the guests. There is no way that he would choose someone with such beautiful amazing hair like Carboni to share the screen with him. I am so jealous of his locks.
I know most of the KF fellas aren’t huge on the Raimi movies, but I still don’t think Spider-Man 3 is as bad as people make it out to be. It’s definitely the worst in the trilogy, but I wouldn’t even call it a bad movie, just messy. Still has a great score, Sandman is good, Topher is an odd choice for Eddie (I understand Sam was trying to make him a mirror for Pete) but Venom’s design is still horrific and great.
The Harry amnesia story is very soap opera-y, but I love their team up in the end. Still such a hype moment. Peter being outnumbered and almost dying is full of tension.
If Sony didn’t meddle, it would’ve been great
Bully Maguire made this awful movie worth it.
It is objectively a bad movie
I really can't wait to watch this episode, I wished Greg was here but I'm just happy you guys are doing rewatches, makes the wait for No Way Home feel much better.
crazy how if you account for inflation spiderman 3 would of made as much money as like avengers age of ultron or close to it....lol...that film is that popular...
Hyped that we still get Spider-Carboni, hope he's still around for amazing spider man
I’ve been waiting for this all week, 2 hours and 51 minutes I love it
spiderman 3 is still better than 1 less corny and closer to 2 than people admit..2 is very hokey acting wise...3 is my fave to rewatch....i stand by it..and i like it more than dark knight which is more flawed despite some good risks like ending with the bad guy winning and seeing things from his pov as heath carried the film...the fact they don't kill this monster in a realistic world yet we see cops killing innocent men for far less on accident out of fear or racism ruins the film for me...sue me...
I finally watched a movie alongside the crew because these Spiderman rewatches has been so good!
I've never been so excited for a video on this channel. this is IT
This intro didn't have to go this hard
Ok that intro was kickass!
The Blessing/Carboni show within a show should be called: "Bless this Bone".
My body is ready…THIS is the one we have been waiting for lads!!
1:51:50 the unison “so good” is fantastic
While I'm not usually interested in watching these reviews I am always happy to see a new KF intro. Xcast still one of my favs.
Lol Nick comparison to Saturday Night Fever was hilarious. That and also because Nick sounds just like John Trovalta as Tony Manero everytime he does his Ralph Macchio accent.
I'm torn because this is 3 hours long but also....I love watching these guys.
This was one of the movies that taught us that having 3 villains in a movie is a bad idea and yet we’re excited for No Way Home to have 6. I guess a big difference is they’ve all been previously set up but it will be interesting to see if they can really pull it off.
It will (hopefully) be like reverse Avengers. Instead of a group of heroes getting equal shine, it will be the villains
Curious to know what you thought of NWH in retrospective after this comment!
@@tjppercussion I really liked it haha. It was a bit overstuffed but they got the heart and the fun right and that’s what matters most to me. In general I think they juggled a huge cast pretty well. Could have been much worse.
@@DoingOK I agree lol. Much more of a spectacle than a tightly knit Spider-Man narrative but they balanced it as well as they could. For a grounded quintessential story I prefer Homecoming, but NWH is a ton of fun to watch
I don't think there's as much wrong with this movie as people like to pretend there is. Sam Raimi is an auteur who has a prominent sense of humour. Most of the stuff that people complain about is so obviously meant to be funny but they miss the point.
Harry disappearing behind the car going past is weird until you realise he is hiding under the table/window and you see the guy behind staring at him. The strut down the street with funky music playing and the finger guns while every woman looks disgusted? Hilarious. The lines like "find us some shade" and "dig on this" are hilarious because the venom is corrupting Peter to the point where he is a total joke. All of that humour builds until the rug is pulled out from under you when he hits MJ.
3 hours for this awful movie. This gonna be good!
oh my god that intro is incredible
Something that's buck effin' wild about the moment when Peter tells Aunt May that he's going to propose to MJ - there's a clock in the kitchen and it's quarter past two IN THE MORNING. Like, Jesus Peter let your poor aunt sleep.
INTRO IS ON POINT
This intro is incredible.... but l do kinda miss the harmonica
Screaming at the intro. Has no right to be as good as it is.
Spiderman 3 the video game showed that Venom kept Sandman’s daughter hostage to force sandman to do all that shit which i thought was cool
This movie is the gift that keeps on giving.
In High School back in the early 2010s, my choir class would fundraise every year so that we could do a trip every two years. My junior year we went to NYC for a competition and had a choice between going to see Wicked or Spider-Man on Broadway. Unfortunately for our musical buffs, they got outvoted and we went to see Spider-Man.
I can't tell you it was GOOD. But it was badass as all hell. Every classmate I talked to had a great time.
They didn’t kill one of the Spider-Men from Turn of the Dark! lol Several of the actors were really hurt, that’s all. The only death was from the elderly producer had a stroke while trying to put the show together.
I am very on board with *The BlessBoni Official Spider-Man Ranking* and I am excited to see where it goes
No re-rank? No watch. The Spider-Man rankings are messiest of all of In Review.
These have been some of the best in review content worked on, you're missing out
@@JerahNeptune Doesnt matter. Tim needs to get over himself and stop being so defensive. The rankings are horrible. Tim's ego is killing In Review. I have listened go them review Spider-Man movies before, they just repeat themselves with the exception being Carboni
@@teddyholiday8038 with great salt comes tears for years. Think you should go outside my friend. Take a breather.
@@teddyholiday8038 bro you can watch a review you don’t agree with
@@teddyholiday8038 Tim’s ego? You know they all ranked the movies together right
Waiting for this took FOREVER
Absolutely agree with Blessing. The movie is honestly okay until Peter changes his hair. Everything from then on is super messy.
THAT BEING SAID, I quote this shit all the time lol. I've gone from hating this movie to it being my guilty pleasure watch
1:33:33 "Peter" 😂
Anyone else think Carboni looks like a younger Baldwin?
The fact that blessing referenced one wish aka one of the greatest… I wasn’t expecting that but I’m here for it lol RAY J THE GOAT
"Nobody dances all over my place of work"
that killed me
been looking forward to this one! cant wait to slap this on and kill 3 hours at work tomorrow
I feel like they could've kept Sandman and the Black Suit, with Peter slowly getting darker over the course of the movie, nearly killing Sandman, and then have the cliffhanger of the movie be introducing Venom. You could even introduce him the way he originally was in the comics with him breaking in to Peter's home and scaring MJ
Such a fucking dope ass intro lol
The way Scarpino takes accountability is honorable...
to be fair Sandman's weakness to water and fire didn't really need to be established. If you heat sand up (albeit to a crazy high temperature) it melts and becomes glass, and if you pour water into it it becomes a muddy liquid
I know about all the studio interference, but considering all the pantomime and slapstick comedy into which the Evil Dead trilogy ends up diving - crowned by the glorious third act that Army of Darkness is (the screaming skeletons!! THE SKELETONS!!!) - I thought Spidey 3 was an unexpected but suitably Raimi-esque way of ending that trilogy.
Kevin becoming Andros from Starfox 64 was incredible
They forgot that in Spider-Man 2 it’s said that harry was sent to midtown high senior year and that’s when Harry and Peter meet. But in this one thy talk like they’ve been friends since they were kids.
The Green Goblin cut-out that James Franco has in This Is The End is actually a real cut-out that Franco actually owns.
Omg just use that open for TASM rewatch it's too good
So close to 3h 😭
that poster is sick, but when I first saw it I was sure it was fan-made… same pose as the end of the trailer, a weird looking little gobin in the back.
It's fuckin' wild when a superhero movie's PRIMARY antagonist is the also, somehow, the only character that's a good person that isn't acting like a toddler out of sheer self-interest.
Didn't Venom threaten Sandman's daughter? Or was that in the Spider-Man 3 video game?
Also this is definitely the best live action Venom we've gotten so far
I always felt that Peter was so oblivious/dumb/selfish in the beginning was because it was the first time in his life he had ever been popular.
Topher Grace is also creepy in Predators sooo...
I had to clap, that intro was amazing
Almost 3 hours: oh, buckle up, this is going to be an adventure
This is the second time in Spider-Man in Review Charlette's Web is mentioned. The other is in Spider-Man 2 in Review OG. I guess it makes sense. Im just hoping for another Sliders reference.
Pirates 2 and 3 had a combined budget of $500 million. Pirates 3 individually was not more than Spider-Man 3.
The most expensive movie ever made is probably one of the recent Marvel Avengers movies by now.
The new intro is great, but we need the kazoo back
This will be a ride 🤣🤣🤣
17:55 -- Oh, that's just MJ's way of roasting Pete for not showing her his mangled scooter to reinforce the good alibi that went absolutely nowhere, driving up to a BROADWAY performance of "The Importance of Being Earnest" in a fucking getaway car that had been involved in a crime that probably involved SEVERAL intersections less than half an hour ago, and having LEFT the crime scene, just to pull up to a fucking cop and not give a SINGLE fuck doing it, because the entire drive over, he wasn't even TRYING to come up with a justification.
Even Bethesda made fun of them by getting it right in Skyrim with the Sven Osborn and Faendal Parker quest in Riverwood.
Instead of being like, "Yeah, Parker wrote you this horrible letter, what a dick!"
You could say, "Yo, Harry just gave me this WEIRD letter and told me to tell you that it's from Parker, but it's not."
See what I mean? It's not the exact same situation, because YOU'RE in Mary Jane's shoes, but they're talking about some chick that's named after an STD.
I’m no sand expert. Isn’t wet sand harder and more dense the dry sand? AKA, powder?
The rewatch of the Raimi trilogy seemed way more fun and light hearted compared to the original watch. The original was critical and negative. I had a good time watching Blessing and Carboni 🎉
Question for the guys if they see it...do you think when sandman reforms in like a playground sandbox or whatever, he gets alittle cat poop in there?
Into the Funnyverse
Play music and Tim gets excited for no reason. Like dangling keys in front of a baby
in a sultry voice "now dig on thisssss"
Think to themselves - no good can come from this!...clicks the play button anyway.
I'm missing Andy on this one.
The Spider-Man Musical review ends 40:00
1:25:52
Carboni - You're not wrong. Sandman could absolutely just be some dude. But then that character shouldn't be the primary antagonist of the entire story. What IS the theme of this movie supposed to be? That bad guys are bad?
As an 8 year old boy I cried so much when Harry died. I always thought I liked him, looking back it was pretty obvious to me as a closeted geek I just had the biggest crush on James Franco cause it definitely wasn't the character lol
No one knows the haiku in review song until they do it live
Bernard is still more coherent than Biden at least, even though they both need cue cards🤣 I love the vids of these rewatches, keep it coming, guys!
Every year we see a Broadway show. It was my turn to pick one year and we saw spiderman. I was so embarrassed that my family had to watch it
2 hours and 51 minutes, this is going to be insane
Like Endgame. It's all been leading to this. Rip and tear until it is done
This is cinema
Just watched the movie for the first time, I actually really enjoyed it
I just want to point out Danny Elfman is going to compose Multiverse of Madness, which Raimi will direct. This might be the first time they’ve collaborated since Spider-Man 2.
They reconciled their relationship in the middle of spiderman 3 and worked together on the wizard of oz prequel
