Funny story, I once decided to go out to a secluded little forest and wander about playing my flute and I soon noticed that there were a LOT of squirrels there. So I made it a daily routine to go there and play to the squirrels. Eventually the squirrels began to get used to my presence and one day a squirrel crawled down from the safety of the trees and reached out his little paw. I put out a finger as well and the squirrel grabbed my finger and we essentially shook hands. I thought this was cool as beans, but apparently someone happened to be wandering by and they saw the whole ordeal happen. A month later, I found out that they went to my high school and they thought they were hallucinating the whole time. I was asked if I was supposed to be some sort of forest nymph or whatnot. I also gained the endearing nickname "squirrel boy".

That's a swedish song and here is the translation:
O, woe is me, woe is me, what do I behold
I see my daughter coming to me
O, Silibrant spread out her cloak so blue
And upon it she did bear two bold baby boys
I shall give my father my gray steed
So he can ride to the church upon it
I shall give my sister my seven golden rings
That I have never worn since I was a bride
I shall give my brother my small gloves
That he shall take with him wherever he goeth
One child they took to Freya's baptism
The other they took to the hall of Valhalla.

Might have been due to Myrkur was still an Anon and released her material under a pseudonym. I could be

That might be, tbh i don't remember much from when she first started making music under Myrkur, but Amalie Bruun is Danish, and it is possible that it was listed as Norwegian because some of the studio musicians were Norwegian, i don't know though, you might be right that it was just to cement the whole anonymous pseudonym since she was fairly well known in Denmark as a model/singer/songwriter specificly making pop music for commercial use, f.ex. she made and recorded the title melody to the Danish version of paradise hotel (or "honey, i think i lost some IQ" as i like to call it)

Beyond words! At a time when many make such acculturated pastiches, such samples of high quality folk art of ancestral cultures is an utter blessing. Tusend tak and much respect from Brazil to beloved Denmark and blessed be those who preserve its true culture!

The bird flying over was doing his best to applaud! I watched a tame crow do the same thing in my teachers' violin studio- after the students performed their pieces in entirety. Never when they were doing scales or starting and stopping for teacher input. Love this!!
