The "low resolution" works. It gives you an ethereal appearance and the birds are the perfect accompaniment. This entire performance is hauntingly beautiful.

People like Myrkur should be employed for that very purpose.Walking in the forest is damned near perfect as it is.Running into someone like her & listening for a couple of songs before going on one's way would make the final touch of beauty.
Funny story, I once decided to go out to a secluded little forest and wander about playing my flute and I soon noticed that there were a LOT of squirrels there. So I made it a daily routine to go there and play to the squirrels. Eventually the squirrels began to get used to my presence and one day a squirrel crawled down from the safety of the trees and reached out his little paw. I put out a finger as well and the squirrel grabbed my finger and we essentially shook hands. I thought this was cool as beans, but apparently someone happened to be wandering by and they saw the whole ordeal happen. A month later, I found out that they went to my high school and they thought they were hallucinating the whole time. I was asked if I was supposed to be some sort of forest nymph or whatnot. I also gained the endearing nickname "squirrel boy".

That is interesting, when I bought the first Myrkur Ep back in 2014, I believe that the band was listed as Norwegian. I could be misremembering though, and thought that it was a Norwegian project since some lyrics I believe were in norwegian.
That might be, tbh i don't remember much from when she first started making music under Myrkur, but Amalie Bruun is Danish, and it is possible that it was listed as Norwegian because some of the studio musicians were Norwegian, i don't know though, you might be right that it was just to cement the whole anonymous pseudonym since she was fairly well known in Denmark as a model/singer/songwriter specificly making pop music for commercial use, f.ex. she made and recorded the title melody to the Danish version of paradise hotel (or "honey, i think i lost some IQ" as i like to call it)
