There is no way I'd be racing a 69 Camaro, or 71 Chevelle on that street. Especially ones that nice. 2 feet over and the ditch is there to meet you for a good flip, or worse.
You can’t do no real racing on that death street.look how close the lanes are? I wouldn’t even pulled my shit off the trailer. Every single race I saw was a driver getting out to avoid kissing the other car period.
But that also kinda levels the playing field if you don't have your car dialed in once you lift because your getting loose you loose giving the little slower guy a fair shot

It does not remove the fact half these guys are speced out track racers beating up on street cars who just want to have the same kind of fun but can't afford to build a track car. I see some on this video that could be daily drivers. But when you bring a car with full NHRA specs with wheelie bars and schute how is that the same class as the ones with out? Basically you just want to remove classes and have a free for all. Like tough man contests used to be with no weight class. Then they saw the problem with that and UFC started weight classes. There is a reason there are different classes to qualify for. You can take a 40 year old car put a jet engine in it have it registered and tagged with out so much as an inspection (Here in NC and elsewhere) and call it a street car. Or a top fuel funny car motor. If scientists decided to call a dogs tail a leg then how many legs would a dog have? 4 dummy... no matter what you call it it's still a tail and never going to be a leg. It is what it is. Justified or not.
