The construction of the Mahakal Lok Corridor is underway along the shores of Rudra Sagar lake and the Kshipra river in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Spanning 900 meters, this corridor, named "Mahakal Lok," is being developed with an estimated budget exceeding Rs 850 crore. Within its expanse, approximately 200 statues and murals depicting deities such as Lord Shiva and Goddess Shakti, alongside other religious figures, will be housed. Additionally, a noteworthy feature is the presence of a 100ft-wide mural wall.
Distinguished as one of India's longest corridors of its kind, the Mahakal Lok Corridor can be accessed through two grand gateways: the Nandi Dwar and the Pinaki Dwar. The corridor's second phase, known as the "Shri Mahakal Mahalok" corridor, encompasses the development of Neelkanth, Shaktipath, Anna Kshetra, Maharajwada complex, and Chhota Rudrasagar areas. Notably, it will include a dedicated space where thousands of devotees can witness the temple's spire.
Operating hours for the Mahakal Lok Corridor are from 6 AM until the sleep aarti at 11 PM, with the last entry permitted until 10 PM.
