The video was captured buy the drowning kid himself.. and you can even hear him ask for help, but nobody noticed. His body was found hours after he died.. It's the most disturbing video I've ever seen.

You just need to gather up a lot of air on your lungs to be able to float, it has a big difference to holding your breath.
As a lifeguard, I learnt that your lungs don't actually fill up with water when you drown, it is the water in the stomach that bloats you. I felt tired, couldn't really move much, and felt kind of a numbness, losing consciousness reminds me of falling asleep, but not exactly.
The worst place in the pool to demo things like this is directly over the drains. 😱 Sure it may be up to pool safety standards but you should still count your lucky stars.
