Josh Homme stands out mainly due to the fact he followed up with music that was commercially successful. He really isn't all that great a guitar player in a technical sense, it's when you combine his sound and the richness offered by that about to district bass sound that something unique is created. John Garcia is the standout in this group in my opinion, there's very few voices out there that can WORK with this sound!
Awesome performance all round! I really appreciated the ear-muffs on the drummer - he protected himself and clearly didn't give a damn how it looked or what anyone else said or did in the less hearing-conscious 90s.

Been on a Kyuss rediscovery. Nobody sounded like this in '91-'95 (Obsessed, Saint Vitus, Pentagram similar). Now there are so many great "stoner rock" bands _partly_ because of Kyuss.
