- My first review of a car that’s not my own!
Plenty of quirkiness and clunkiness in my filming and talking, but I will improve!

“Go on, get a bite of that Big Mac”
I have had a Paseo for 23 years. It is not a car, it is a friend, a great traveling companion. It never fails. It is not a racing car, I really enjoy driving it and I do not change it for anything in the world.
92 Paseo was my first car. Loved it dearly. I currently drive a 93 thats been turbo'd (best idea ever). After 18 years of daily driving several paseos, and having my teenage turbo car dream realized, I think ill keep one around until i can no longer get in and out of the tiny thing. ❤❤
Neat fun little car, just picked one up! love it!
I have a 1992 paseo in my garage just sitting in my garage that is rotting. And I decided to do my research and come across your vid which helped a lot. I want to give the paseo another chance in life once I get my permit. The paseo isn’t mine, it’s my uncle and it’s a manual.
I appreciate that you’re interested in an older vehicle! And that you’re interested in driving a manual! Definite props to you!
Not just because it's my last name but the Toyota Paseo it's always have a special place in my heart. Problem with the car is that it looked much more sporty then it actually was and unfortunately the insurance rates we're very high first touch a car which put it Out Of Reach of the younger demographics Toyota was targeting. I had my heart set on a new 1996 Paseo back during my freshman year of high school. My parents and I had the deal worked out at the local Toyota dealership but once we started seeing insurance quotes it was a total deal-breaker and I ended up with a new top of the line 96 Sonata GLS Limited. The car was so cheaply made that the leather on the front bucket seats with glued not stitched and the car chronically overheated and after 9 months, two power window motors, 1 catalytic converter, 2 AC compressors, some electrical Gremlin with the power sunroof, and it's second loan head gasket Hyundai was forced to buy the car back under the Florida Lemon Law. All this happened with a brand new car with 8200 MI on the odometer. You still see quite a few little Toyota Paseos zipping around Miami but there would have been a lot more if so many had gotten molested by all the little Julio ricer racers here in Miami. The Tercel and Paseo have one fatal engine flaw. Toyota recommended that the timing belt and pre-tensioner be replaced every 60k. Unlike most other Toyota engine designs if the timing belt snapped on either these two cars it completely destroyed the engine. I had a friend that had a Paseo who's timing belt snapped 67k miles and another friend the head a 96 Tercel that although I just had the timing belt replaced for some reason the mechanic didn't replace the pretensioner which caused the brand new belt to snap completely destroying the engine. It's sad because they were cute little well designed and built cars that's sadly seem 2f been all but forgotten. And BTW the Tercel what is literally the last decent subcompact car Toyota head made to date. Driving or riding in a Tercel was not as awkward or embarrassing as the ghastly Toyota Echo or it's just as crude predecessor the Toyota Yaris with their hard plastic Interiors, uncomfortable rides, and awkward appearances they were both doomed to fail.
Definitely cool to hear the stories you shared, and unfortunate how that Hyundai treated you! The Paseo was definitely a cool little car! I know my friend who owned it misses it!
Thanks for the comments!
Too bad you should of got the Paseo ❤️❤️❤️
I've got a 93 Toyota Paseo out back... Let's get outta here
I have the front seats from this paseo installed on my glanza v and its kinda pretty cool, also i think they are way better than the stock ones
1992 Toyota paseo, a little fun car for people that wanna buy their first manual or first car in general.
I bought one as my first manual a year ago and restored what it was left to restore and since then i fell in love with it. I don’t feel like ever getting rid of it.
I have a -1992 Paseo minty made in Japan came across on a ship covered in goo to protect from sea salt . Only 82,000 kms on it No rust . Automatic . Red has faded from the sun ☀️
Ran my to around 250k, then sold
I'm going to definitely miss this car.
I have 1997 Toyota Juno Cynos , its similar to the Paseo and its a perfect ride simple an straight forward
That's a keeper
I have the 95 5-speed , same color. 235k miles.... Leaking oil horribly now even after replacing the crank shaft seal. Still runs great!!!
Why are there so many Big Mac comments with this car
.... Look up " McDonalds MeatCanyon"
Not to correct you but all paseos had the 5EFE. Some tercels did as well but they also had the 3EE. The cynos in japan had some models with the 5EFHE
That’s ok! It’s very possible I just mixed up my information when I made this video. It was my first review!
My first car ❤
God this video is making me miss my Paseo
I believe 7a-fe 1.8 must fit in there
paseos have the 5efe engine
