- Meet El Dorito the 1974 Volkswagen Bay Window Bus. It came to us from a lovely family out of Texas. In this first video we walk through the condition it came in. The fun of it’s air cooled motor putzing along, as well as some of the sketchier parts of driving a 60 year old bus.
Bay window busses are totally our thing and we believe that Subaru engines are the perfect companions to usher along these vintage beauties into the 21st century. Our unique conversion process allows us to offer a reliable, safe, and sleek evolution for the bay window busses we all know and love.

74 is first year for FI. it should already have a return inlet
I'm working on a 73 westy right now...same issues. Have you ever replaced a crispy front beam? My steering gear box was junk..major slop..replaced! The drop arm..didn't realize it had such a gap on back side. I thought maybe it was the wrong arm for the new trw style replacement.
