Absolutely protect the children! Instruct them by God's word and teach them in all His ways! Take authority over what they watch, music they listen to, who they are friends with, because all these things matter. Pray and fast for them and let our lives be a living sacrifice for them that they may abound in every good work that is well pleasing to The Lord! Then they can do the same when they grow up, Glorifying God in all things.

I once ask 30+ churches in our city if they could host a homeschool co-op in their building and only 1 said yes. So incredibly sad. Churches need to take more of an interest in the next generation!!

The message is beautifully conveyed with enormous clarity…..as parents and Christian’s, we need to listen to this message prayerfully over and over again until it pushes all of us into action. I missed the mark with my children and now I see how unimportant Christ is in my children and allowing my 10 grandchildren to experience the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. John McArthur has pointed out the biblical accuracy of what happens when parents do not put God at the head of their homes and in their everyday lives, teaching our children to put God first. Children of this Generation
‘Don’t feel sorry for or fear for your kids (grandkids) because the world they are going to grow up in is not what it used to be.
God created them and has called them for the exact moment in time that they’re in.
Your children’s (grandchildren's) lives weren’t a coincidence or an accident.
Raise them up to know the power they walk in as children of God.
Train them up in the authority of His Word.
Teach them to walk in faith knowing that God is in control.
Empower them to know they can change the world.
Don’t teach them to be fearful and disheartened by the state of the world, but hopeful that they can do something about it.
Every person in all of history has been placed in the time that they were in because of God’s sovereign plan.
God knew Daniel could handle the lion’s den.
God knew David could handle Goliath.
God knew Esther could handle Haman.
God knew Peter could handle persecution.
God knows that your child (grandchild) can handle whatever challenge he or she will face in their life. God created them specifically for it!
Don’t be scared for your children (grandchildren), but be honored that God chose you to parent (grandparent) the generation that is facing the biggest challenges of our lifetime.
Rise up to the challenge.
Raise Daniels, Davids, Esthers and Peters!
God isn’t scratching His head wondering what He’s going to do with this mess of a world.
God has an army He’s raising up to drive back the darkness and make Him known all over the earth.
Don’t let your fear steal the greatness God has placed in your children (grandchildren).
It’s hard to imagine your children (grandchildren) as anything besides ‘our sweet little babies that we just want to protect from anything that could ever be hard on them,’ but they have been born for such a time as this.'

I completely agree with what he shared and as there’s no “opt out” of the deluge of forms of the attacks on Christian principles and teachings in today’s world, I can’t help but believe that’s part of the answer is working from the inside out.
Individual Christian, family, neighborhood, community, region, state, national region, and nation.
Local churches, building Christian schools in the local community, electing G-dly men and women for every local government position, and working outward.
It’s the only way to try to reduce the influences that bombard us today.
And lastly, but most importantly, start and stop every thought with G-d’s Word as none of the former will help if the culture is invited, tolerated, protected, embraced, and defended by individual believers and the church.

I pray that when pastor McCarthur goes to heaven with the Lord, the church he leads now will continue his legacy and not like others ministries that have changed radically for bad when the pastor died; for example, Charles Stanley’s church, David Wilkerson’s church. It is sad that men like pastor JM are really rare in this time.

I believe Ps John is a Godly man. I pray he will stop attacking those he does not know, has Zero contact with or communication within the Body of Christ. What he PERCEIVES about another doing ministry different than him has been an ongoing issue of Division. I pray he reads the Book of Acts over and over again asking Holy Spirit to fully Baptize him and ask for the gifts vs in fear and mocking them.
Respectfully, being united is God's way and Division is the enemy. We cannot be One Body when chewing off our own arm, hand etc. God is The Creator and yet most have him in a box. God IS The Same Yesterday, Today and Forever yet... My Bible also says " Behold, I am doing a New Thing".
His statement of panning "Mega Churches" and not seeing any children is purely IGNORANCE. Most have children's church/Bible Study with Gifted, Loving, Parents/Teachers/Volunteers who have been vetted leading them. This statement is not accurate of the majority and may be a perspective he holds yet the footnotes of why or whom he is citing is concerning.
Pray about everything, Be Still and Know vs I don't agree with that Mega Church or this or that other Christian/Spirit Filled (Gift operating/Fruit-Filled church) and I will make shorts and videos which bring profit yet attack prospering and instead teach the POVERTY GOSPEL but is himself worth how many millions? SMH!! Very sad and why I rarely listen to him because of it. I believe he cares and knows God Word yet... Like others in Jesus's time could not understand what they did not yet have knowledge or experience of and the result... 😥

I liked what you said about where courage comes from. It comes from conviction, following your convictions, which of course come from scripture and the Holy Spirit.
I work in a public middle school. And while our school doesn't have a lot of violence, what I'm noticing is chaos in the hallway when they're changing classes. So many of them seem to have no rein on their emotions. They also have not enough respect for teachers. They think that they're in charge it looks like to me (I am a custodian.)
I'm not expecting someone to be as mature as an adult, but so many of them are just foolish almost all the time, no understanding of consequences, consideration of others...
The policies in place in the schools are way too liberal. In my opinion they're using psychology to try to motivate kids, instead of solid understanding of human behavior, and fostering their long-term maturity. I don't expect them to teach Jesus in a public school, but they've gone away from common sense things that would work, it seems to me anyway.
So many classrooms are unmanageable, with kids barely under control a lot of the time. So of course it is very difficult to teach in that situation. Difficult to get across course material when you have to spend a third or a half of your energy managing the class... Only the most disciplined teachers with the best skills can do this. New teachers are overwhelmed...
I do pray for my school. We all should...
The question is not that anyone closed the Church, the question is why did they wait so long to open the Church. This Pastor did it right.

Also the sins of many pastors have contributed to the younger generations being turned off from the true Gospel.
However, I think it's important to factor-in the size of John's church, and their ability to hire specialized, top notch lawyers. Most small churches don't have the resources to fight such a battle.
Too many churches are too busy singing , singing , singing , SINGING . Sound systems, drum sets, lights - NOISE .
I cannot stand it. 1 hour of music. 15 minutes of mundane announcements. 10 minutes of Word and another 1/2 hour of signing. I don't go to church anymore. Every day. Every hour is church at my house.
There is a church I visit in another town that hurts my ears when they start up the music. I stand outside and listen. Last time there was a woman who needed her dog to wee, so the mutt and I explored the cars' wheels, while she went back inside.

@@stalker7892 This discussion brings to light the consequences of teaching a pre-tribulation rapture, which he teaches, and is not Biblical. It would make sense that parents are frightened. There are probably many who believe in a pre-tribulation rapture and thought they would never see the world in the state it is in today. The worst part is that John MacArthur has actually gone so far as to say that a person can repent of taking the mark of the beast, which is one of worst things I have ever heard a pastor say. Lots of people will claim he never said that, but there are videos of it on-line, and yes, he said it a long time ago, but he has yet to recant. He must still believe that way, which really makes me wonder about him and those around him, which have failed to call him out on it. It is hardly a minor issue.
I feel sad seeing Dr. Macarthur aging, knowing he might soon be gone, breaks my heart😢
