This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Reform your ways and your actions, and I will let you live in this place. Do not trust in deceptive words and say, “This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord!” If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever. Here is one of the most fearful prophecies yet to be Fulfilled in Matthew 7:21-23!
    Not everyone saying to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of My Father in the heavens. (Hence, the true Christians are the ones who OBEY God's word, and keep His commandments, especially believing in the truth of the FIRST and GREATEST COMMANDMENT in Deuteronomy 6:4 saying: Hear, Israel: Yahweh is our God; Yahweh is ONE. meaning this is a COMMANDMENT to believe Yahweh GOD is the One True GOD of Israel, and He is ONE (PERSON), which should be the main foundations of all true Christians in believing.

    I'm wondering what pastor John Macarthur would comment on this. I can't find a church to go to because of the weak pastors plus the false doctrines they uphold. Churches observe Christmas which was non existent in the Bible. The pastors are man pleasers instead of pleasing God. There's no Easter bunny or eggs, however churches have Easter egg hunts. Tithing is non existent in the New Covenant. However, through tradition, tithing is still practiced. That makes Christians feel obligated and that's not what is stated in 2 Corinthians Ch. 9 verse 7. While there is no perfect church I just can't attend these places of false worship. So, how would John Macarthur respond to my comment?

    • @golfhound
      @golfhound Před 2 lety +2

      GM It is good that you question religious authorities. They are just as fallible as anyone else. Don't expect MacArthur to answer you here. I truly understand your frustration. The good news for you is that you seem to know what you want in a church. You might have to go to different churches for a while. For starters, using a phone directory, make a list of churches near you that APPEAR to be close to your liking. Don't limit yourself to one denomination. ie. Just because you've been (Baptist) for 15 years doesn't mean it's right for you. Make a plan of visiting each one for four weeks. You'll get a feel for the place, pastors and people. After you've narrowed down your choices to four churches, begin the process all over again. Only this time, meet with the pastor(s) and ask specific questions that are essential to you. ie that pastor's mindset, where he/she stands on key theological issues that are important to you. Christmas, Easter, End Times, music, theologically liberal or conservative, female clergy, gay clergy, etc. It boggles my mind that people will attend a church for years and not question their pastor(s) on all of these issues. A pastor spiritually nourishes their congregation every week. Set a high standard for yourself. Observe a church on how they really are, not on how you hope they are. Are you being nourished with spiritual steak or junk food every sunday? Do you like their music or does it drive you crazy? Is this a church you will feel comfortable in tithing to? You might NEVER find your perfect fit. But never compromise your essentials. People need to question their churches, doctors, lawyers, etc. Expect a high moral standard from all people in authority. They are fallible people too. Also, rely on prayer. Pray the God will guide you to the right church. It took me a long time to find a church that I like. It's not perfect. But I can live with the non-essentials. I hope this proves useful.

    Secular reading of the Bible certainly gives nothing new under the sun and blinds the natural minded waiting for something that never left. Phip 2:5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
    2Cor 13:5Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
    So if your waiting for it to come it's blindness. You don't feel equal do ya.

    MacArthur teaches Calvinism. If Calvinism / election is true, then those destined to be saved will be saved, and those destined to be damned will be damned, by God's immutable will. Period. If he is correct, none of what he said matters, because those who are predestined to be saved will be saved. There is no danger to anyone from anything if God elects salvation / damnation.
    Macarthur's Calvinist God authors evil / sin / damnation by His irresistible will, as well as salvation . He denies the free will of man and says that faith /salvation is only for the elect.
    If he is correct, then there is absolutely no reason to evangelize or any reason to fear false doctrine, because if God elects you, nothing can take your salvation - if God doesn't elect you, nothing can save you. His constant harangues about sin are a waste of time. There is no need for evangelism, preachers, doctrine, faith or faithfulness to God, as all are locked in by election or locked out by damnation.
    See how stupid Calvinism is? And this guy is held up like some mighty man of God?

But, first you must be humble to receive it, and by your response, you are justifying your sins which are written down in Pr 10:18. You are denying that your evil speaking about John MacArthur publicly and accusing him of being a false teacher and contradicter of God's word, shows that you have hatred in your heart towards John MacArthur, so you try to conceal it by lying, but it doesn't stop there, you slander him purposely with your false statements about him publicly like the Devil trying to ruin his reputation.
