    Chogolisa, the mountain the legendary Hermann Buhl lost his life 35 years before David was born. RIP both of you, legendary Austrian mountaineers!! 🇦🇹

    It was truly incredible to watch this amazing clip. Chogolisa Peak is on of the beautiful corniced mountain in the world. Congratulations David and Rest in peice my dear, you were amazing. Legendry Hermon Bauhl also died here on the cornice.

      David is doing it as leisurely as me going to get that first cuppa coffee in the morning. I mean I would not think any less of a man like Ed Visturs for deciding to take something like that on his butt and sliding all the way over there even if It took the whole day, I mean, literally at that last shot the Cornice gave away, and Herman Buhl plummeting like thousands of feet down a vertical sea of snow

      It's a Dynafit binding with a homemade connection piece between crampon and binding.

    Does anyone know what binding/crampon/mtneering boot combination David Lama was using at 2:59?

      Did you find the name of the binding? I am looking for ski-bindings for mountaineering boots, but its hard to find information about it.

      @@olavharstad5590 it looks like a normal pin binding but with a customized special insert for the crampons. Just pause a 2:59 and you will see the crampon in the binding. In the front of the binding there is a stainless steel tube for the pins which is somehow attached to the crampons and another metallic rear part for holding the back. I must say it is a clever design.

      thanks for praising my Country , Pakistan is really best for all we have beautifull vallies highest mountains ,Great trango Towers, unlimited lakes and buddle of Glaciers , Baltoro , Biafo, Hisper , Passu , Godwinausten etc.. Baltoro is biggest mountain glacier on earth and Biafo is 67KM long huge ice valley
