- David Lama climbs the "Eternal Flame" route on the 6239m high Nameless Tower, which has a reputation for being one of the most demanding rock climbs above 5000 meters. With its steep walls and perfect cracks, it was a prototype project for the team of the young Austrian.

David Lama R.I.P. 🙏😢
Amazing stuff...
I've done quite a bit of snow and ice climbing in New Zealand, but for some reason rock climbing like this scares me to death... Huge respect to these guys.
this doesn't scare only you, it also scares me that i'm a rock climber 😅
The Trango Towers are a family of rock towers situated in Gilgit-Baltistan, in the north of Pakistan
Thanks!
The photographer is Corey Rich if anyone is curious.
So many great heroes go unnoticed , so thanks for pointing that out!
Not at all. Nobody cares about some mouth breather with the camera
he got there before them so he could film....
Altitude, yes. The end is a 1200 meter near vertical climb at a grade of 5.12+, which begins at an altitude that's already as high as Mont Blanc. These giant rock-climbs are the most difficult in the world. They were pioneered in free style in the early 90s by the best climbers/alpinists ever, Güllich, Kurtyka, Loretan, Lowe, Destivelle.
Damn David was only 19 or 20 when he did this. Probably the youngest to do the nameless tower I imagine.
You guys are very adventurous really thank you for coming Shigar. We always welcome you.
Ruhe in frieden David. Für mich bleibst du eine Inspiration auf sovielen ebenen!
Thats some badass fine climbing one of the best.sorry to say taken away by a snow slide.R.i.p.
imagine climbing with this view 2:19... insane, you can even see Masherbrum (?) Those granite peaks are wonderful ♥
David you will be missed 😢 for ages. He is and will be my favorite mountaineer forever. RIP my dear.

chrome plated steel balls with a titanium core and platinum layers!
Unbelievable ! ...So fantastic !
His surname is Lama and he climbs on Himalaya. Fits perfectly :)
can see blood stained hands there. huge respect.
This is so incredible
This is just AWESOME!
DL lived more in his 29 years than 10 average men will with theirs -- combined.
Not even close smh DL was a GM
10? 🤣🤣🤣
It depends on what life is to somebody! To me definitely not worth but for him it was everything so two different opinions
Unfortunately, that is only your opinion. What the value of life is for someone else, is NOT for you to say. Ego
@@bujfvjg7222What about his family? Do they get a say on what the value of his life was? Pretty selfish.
Amazing!
Absolutely beasts
Rest in peace David Lama
amazing!

David Lama R.I.P - Mariano Galván R.I.P
insane. I would never be able to get down lol.
This is in pakistan _near K2......
cool!
nice
i did this in skyrim
Nice ! :D
This is Redbull's record of their sublime climb? What a shittily edited video for such an unbelievable experience. Sentimental music, uninspiring footage of climbing, no brief history of Trango Tower's ascents or the climb's grade. A couple seconds of them going up a beautiful crack at 1:51 - 1:55. Then some vague mixed stuff, then the top.
I saw a lot of crack climbing. That's hard, good job.
I have done that climb
What's the name of the camera?
What is the name of the song/tune? REALLY IMPORTANT! :)
haha at 2:45. ice tool in hand, rock shoes on feet.
You are not alone, trust me on that :3
dope
Grand Voyage on the Great Trango Tower sounds way harder.
When they say 6239 m high, does that mean altitude or actual distance of the climb? (I am thinking altitude, but I want to make sure)
Alex Geren - altitude :P
the chopper picks them up ;P
R.I.P Lama!!!
These sort of climbers have my share of guts.
anyone knows a good video editor ? please respond :)
I can do that too
Just let me finish this flat and Ill be on my way
it is located in Pakistan.
and who the hell did record?
I still dont know how they get back down
i was thinking exactly the same thing holy LOL
a remix of Aeronautix - Irrealis Life (kabanjak remix)
Which Country is this? amazing!
Natia Peradze Pakistan
and place the gear yourself, unless there is a pre bolted line.
0 dislikes. I like that.
He try to climb Masherbrum, the most difficult mountain in the planet
I guess the real question is how do they get down if they free climb it :/
they fly
I have allways wondered how they take a shit...
rip buddy
i supose he has the dalay lama suport
It wasn't the food that gave them the energy to climb it was 2 cases of Red Bull caffeine drink.
altitude. if its one of the hardest over 5km and its 6.2km long that puts it 3km taller than everest.
That isnt 6. 2km long but at an altitute of 6.2km u dumb idiot
Uhhh what?
My hands started sweating ..
It seems that the first guy brings the first rope up with him. He doesnt have any ropes above him when he is shown climbing.
rock roll
Does anyone know who Lama is sponsored by? I can never tell...
R Webb mainly Red Bull. Probably wears what works clothing/gear wise.
alex pj Morgan damn that comment was from 5 years ago.. and he was clearly being sarcastic

Класс!
So why doesn't the camera guy get some recognition?
i would wingsuit back down, LIKE A SQUIRRLE
Robbaz approves.
