NOTES This Tier List is NOT based on combat ability alone! It'd be a very different list if it was! The goal of Crash Team Rumble is to deposit Wumpa Fruit! This tier list is based on how good a character is at fulfilling their role in achieving that, and how well they can multitask with other roles! I mentioned Brio's transformation being comparable to using a healing fridge on him. This was referring to his super armor once he transforms! Not literally healing. I am aware of yesterday's balance patch! This video was made before that! Thankfully it doesn't change anything in the tier list, but it does show and prove my point on how there's no real perfect time to update the tier list! It can honestly be done whenever!
4:25 just wanted to mention a fix for ripper roo's mobility in a little tech he has called bomb boosting, basically doing his melee attack in midair and spawning a bomb with some kinda tight timing will make him move way faster and let him jump across entire maps extremely fast. You can even chain it easily if you hop off of the bomb after spawning it, double jump and the repeat the melee into bomb, it makes his cannon pretty obsolete if you use it properly and lets you easily outrun anyone that tries to kill you
always coco mains saying some bs you cant 1v1 in crash team rumble. you'd just be collecting and depositing fruit and never seeing each other coco can only carry 90 wumpa, even tawna would beat her in a 1v1

I don't really know where I stand on N. Tropy currently. On one hand I think everything you said about her makes sense, but on the other I've been in games with very sweaty Tropies that just hunt down whoever's closest to them and can take them out in seconds. Probably not against elite players or anything, but I do still understand why she's considered so problematic (or at least was, we'll see how hard the nerfs hit her). I think she's better as more of a jungler/hunter that denies Wumpa before a player even has a chance to turn in, whereas Dingo and Brio are more "camp this one place and go on the defense". Also saw Tawna apparently got another buff regarding her hookshot recently, very much appreciated there lol.
You need to see what a real Coco does, and you need to also see how Brio fights ANYONE competent. Brio is deadass last and there's nothing that's saving him from that right now.
I think Coco is high tier but below Cortex. The ground slam is one reason, it allows you to get extra height, displaces enemies and even incapacitate them if you land on them. Well they're nerfing that last one though, even though it's really high risk compared to Cortex's transformation. The wall does also help other team mates, in the right hands it makes N. Brio's monster form irrelevant and I't useful against Catbat's dives, Rippers bombs and can help with scoring for you and your team since it bounces enemies away. With Coco it's all about positioning, being in the right place at the right time and her kit is very good at doing that, and that kind of skillset is very useful in a game like this, a good Coco also shouldn't need to rely on their wall when getting away anyway only when holding down an area. And of course the vault move thing knocks back enemies, so you don't need the wall when keeping people from scoring. I'm only saying this because your description of the wall seems like the examples you're drawing from are from people not actually using it that much, or using it improperly, which makes sense because it's not really that useful unless used in the right situations. As for the comparison with N. Brio's slimes, I don't get it, they serve completely different uses and the slimes have a health-bar so they're east to take out and not the most useful defensively, they're more focused on area control. They also have to be thrown so they're not as instant as the wall.
Nice tierlist although I wouldn't put N Tropy at the bottom because at least her health and her wumpa aren't the lowest and her attacks do good damage and knockback. But I absolutely agree with Cortex, I always main. He is just fun to play. Also you played well today. I saw you in a few matches as Catbat.
I disagree a bit I think N. Brio is way to high on this list his transformation is telegraphed and can easily be taken out before he changes and if he tries to gain a gem pad the enemy just needs to pressure N. Brio to kill him. N. Trophy is bit higher in my opinion than dingo and brio as she is a bag of all traits but doesn’t excel at one thing. Like if Trophy wants to be a booster she’s decent and vice versa with the other skills and is as restricted as the other two. If I had to rank it it be. 1. Cortex hands down he’s way too good. 2. Cat Bat hands down the best scorer 3. Coco as her movement makes up for the shortage of wumpa as she is also excelled at collected gem pads and relics. 4. Ripper Roo as he can be oppressive during the end game as all his attacks are push back. 5. Crash decent scorer and booster but unless his fighting another scorer his terrible at fights. 6. N. Trophy good character but doesn’t excel at anything even being a blocker as her damage is low. 7. N. Brio can be an oppressive gem collector and menace to the enemy bank unless your opponent knows how to easily counter him and oppress him when he isn’t in his hulk state. 8. Dingodile everyone’s go to blocker but can easily be killed by everyone on the roster. 9. Tanya surprising slow and doesn’t excel at any fights or collecting gem pads and the scorers above do way much more in half the time.

N. Brio main here. He's the worst character in the game unless you use bounce crates
