I’m definitely going back to re-listen to this-I had the CD when it came out; and I was on so much dope at the time I always fell asleep. This time I can hear it clearly it is so much better than I remembered!
@@matthewjdouglas6471 Just his tunes that remind me of Velvet Underground....Jesus Mary Chain. I just love his smacked out tunes ie cool waves...lord can you hear me ..lay it down slow etc....
That's what I miss about ToTP - in amongst Rick Astley and Timmy Mallett you would have Spiritualized, Smiths, Orbital, Cure, Talk Talk that could hopefully turn the kids on to something more spiritually rewarding !
flashbacks to being fucked up on prescription benzos smoking rollies drinking tea covered in blankets mid summer during an awful period of my life, this song was a blissful reprieve.
this album contains a lot of queasy delicious songs, they can easily make you fell fainter than any iDoser session could ever do to you. I just push play and my eyes slowly fade, my breathe gets slowly. and then it feels like drowning in ocean, leaving this world's illness, in a lysergic travel through the secrets of my own mind. it's absolutly true, i think people understimates the music power to reach our body and mind. it's physically, i feel it. it's not only the sound perceptions.
Top of the pops should rightly be remembered as an embarrassing karaoke but at least occasionally cool bands appeared to do the Robbie Williams mime act.
@coltsuperocean10 im oasis biggest fan and have got all there albums and seen them dozens of times but i also have all spiritualized albums 2 they r both theamazing ..am i a knucle dragger ?
Amazed Jason took this (the lip-syncing) seriously...such a great song and great to see the entire line-up at the time, but I definitely prefer the full 8 min version....
haha. I'm no great fan to be honest, but the bills don't pay themselves. If he got a few extra quid from this then good luck to him. You'd be surprised the amount of great musicians that end up working in B&Q - in fact I know one.
Not “ Narrow Minded” just know Oasis are a poor Beatle tribute .. They are O..K... but nothing special ...Not like these... an Masssive Attack... Portishead... An. P W E I
It's not live(I'm not sure TOTP even let bands play live by then*). It's just an edit of the album version. Identical. Brilliant, but definitely not live. I Think I'm In Love sounds very different played live. Just listen to the Royal Albert Hall version... *the Manics once turned up in balaklavas, dressed like the IRA, and sang live - that probably had something to do with TOTP's wariness.
TOTP should have gone for broke and got them to play the full edit. Followed by an extended cut of 'Cop Shoot Cop'.
Wow. Back when legitimate music was actually given airtime in the UK..
Best song off the best album. We really don't get this any more.
So many years, man, still digging it.

i can't believe this was on because of the lyrics alone. Fantastic 🥰
its exactly the album version I'm pretty sure. it doesn't sound any different.
Fabulous. Post Kate Radley.
Top of the pops should rightly be remembered as an embarrassing karaoke but at least occasionally cool bands appeared to do the Robbie Williams mime act.

@andrew406 No, you show musical diversity, anyone that says other wise is as narrow-minded as they try and make Oasis fans out to be.
